Matthew: Chapter 07

7:1 IVdge not/ that ye be not iudged. Iudge not, that ye be not iudged. IVdge not/ that ye be not iudged. IVDGE not, that ye be not iudged.
7:2 For as ye iudge so shall ye be iudged. And with what mesure ye mete/ with the same shall it be mesured to you agayne. For as ye iudge, so shall ye be iudged. And with what measure ye meate, with the same shall other men measure to you. For as ye iudge so shall ye be iudged. And with what mesure ye mete/ with the same shall it be mesured to you agayne. For as ye iudge, so shal ye be iudged: And wyth what measure ye meate, with the same shal it be measured to you againe.
7:3 Why seist thou a moote in thy brothers eye/ and perceauest not the beame that ys yn thyne awne eye. Why seest thou a mote in thy brothers eye, but consydrest not the beame that is in thyne awne eye? Why seist thou a moote in thy brothers eye/ and perceauest not the beame that ys yn thyne awne eye. And why seest thou a mote in thy brothers eye, and perceauest not the beame that is in thyne owne eye?
7:4 Or why sayest thou to thy brother: suffre me to plucke oute the moote oute of thyne eye/ and behold a beame is in thyne awne eye. Or how sayest thou to thy brother suffre me, I wyll plucke oute a moate out of thyne eye, and beholde, a beame is in thyne awne eye. Or why sayest thou to thy brother: suffre me to plucke oute the moote oute of thyne eye/ and behold a beame is in thyne awne eye. Or how sayest thou to thy brother: suffer me to cast out the mote out of thyne eye, and behold a beame is in thine own eye?
7:5 Ypocryte/ fyrst cast oute the beame oute of thyne awne eye/ and then shalte thou se clearly to plucke oute the moote out of thy brothers eye. Thou ypocryte, fyrst cast oute the beame out of thyne awne eye, and then shalt thou se clearly to plucke out the mote oute of thy brothers eye. Ypocryte/ fyrst cast oute the beame oute of thyne awne eye/ and then shalte thou se clearly to plucke oute the moote out of thy brothers eye. Hypocrite, first cast out the beame out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou se clearely to cast out the mote out of thy brothers eye.
7:6 Geve not that which is holy/ to dogges/ nether cast ye youre pearles before swyne/ lest they treade them vnder their fete/ and the other tourne agayne and all to rent you. Geue not ye that whych hys holy vnto dogges, nether cast ye youre pearles before swyne, lest they treade them vnder their fete & the other turne against you, & al to rent you. Geve not that which is holy/ to dogges/ nether cast ye youre pearles before swyne/ lest they treade them vnder their fete/ and the other tourne agayne and all to rent you. Gene not that which is hob/ to dogges, nether cast ye your pearles before swyne: lest they treade them vnder their fete, and turnyng agayne, all to rent you.
7:7 Axe and it shalbe geven you. Seke and ye shall fynd. Knocke and it shalbe opened vnto you. Aske, and it shalbe geuen you: Seke, & ye shall fynde: Knocke, and it shalbe opened vnto you. Axe and it shalbe geven you. Seke and ye shall fynd. Knocke and it shalbe opened vnto you. Aske, and it shalbe geuen you: Seke, & ye shal fynde: Knocke and it shalbe opened vnto you.
7:8 For whosoever axeth receaveth/ and he that seketh findeth/ and to him that knocketh it shalbe opened. For whosoeuer asketh, receaueth: and whosoeuer seketh, fyndeth: and to hym that knocketh, it shalbe opened. For whosoever axeth receaveth/ and he that seketh findeth/ and to him that knocketh it shalbe opened. For whosoeuer asketh receaueth, & he that seeketh findeth, & to him that knocketh, it shalbe opened.
7:9 Is there eny mā amōge you which if his sonne axed him bread/ wolde offer him astone? Is there eny man amonge you, which (yf hys sonne aske bread) wyll offer him a stone? Is there eny mā amōge you which if his sonne axed him bread/ wolde offer him astone? For what man is there amonge you, which if is sonne aske him bread, would gene hym a stone?
7:10 Or if he axed fysshe/ wolde he profer him a serpent? Or yf he aske fisshe, will he profer him a serpent? Or if he axed fysshe/ wolde he profer him a serpent? Or if he aske fyshe, wil he profer hym a serpent?
7:11 If ye then which are euyll can geue to youre chyldren good gyftes how moche moore shall youre father which is in heven geue good thynges to them that axe him? If ye then (whan ye are euell) can geue youre children good gyftes, how moch more shall your father which is in heauen, geue good thynges, yf ye aske of hym? If ye then which are euyll can geue to youre chyldren good gyftes how moche moore shall youre father which is in heven geue good thynges to them that axe him? If ye then which are euil can geue to your children good gyftes, how much more shal your Father whych is in heauen, geue good thinges to them that aske himr
7:12 Therfore whatsoeuer ye wolde that men shulde do to you/ euen so do ye to them. This ys the lawe and the Prophetes. Therfore, whatsoeuer ye wolde that men shulde do to you: do ye euen so to them also. For this is the lawe and the prophetes? Therfore whatsoeuer ye wolde that men shulde do to you/ euen so do ye to them. This ys the lawe and the Prophetes. Therfore what so euer ye would that men should do to you, euen so do ye to them: for this is the lawe and the Prophetes.
7:13 Enter in at the strayte gate: for wyde is the gate/ and broade is the waye that leadeth to destruccion: and many ther be which goo yn ther at. Enter in at the strayte gate: for wyde is the gate, and broade is the waye that leadeth to destruccion: and many there be which go in ther at. Enter in at the strayte gate: for wyde is the gate/ and broade is the waye that leadeth to destruccion: and many ther be which goo yn ther at. Enter in at the streict gate: for it is the wide gate, and broad way that leadeth to destruction: and many there be which go in ther at.
7:14 But strayte is the gate/ and narowe ys the waye which leadeth vnto lyfe: and feawe there be that fynde it. For straite is the gate, and narowe is the waye, which leadeth vnto lyfe, and fewe there be that finde it. But strayte is the gate/ and narowe ys the waye which leadeth vnto lyfe: and feawe there be that fynde it. Because the gate is streict, and the way narowe which leadeth vnto lyfe: and fewe there be that finde it.
7:15 Beware of false Prophetes/ which come to you in shepes clothinge/ but inwardly they are rauenynge wolues. Beware of false prophetes, which come to you in shepes clothynge, but in wardly they are rauenyng wolues. Beware of false Prophetes/ which come to you in shepes clothinge/ but inwardly they are rauenynge wolues. Beware of false prophetes, whych come to you in shepes clothyng, but inwardly they are rauening wolues.
7:16 Ye shall knowe them by their frutes. Do men gaddre grapes of thornes? or figges of bryres? Ye shall knowe them by theyr frutes. Do men gather grapes of thornes? or figges of thistles? Ye shall knowe them by their frutes. Do men gaddre grapes of thornes? or figges of bryres? Ye shal know them by their fruites. Do men gather grapes of thornes? or figges of thystels?
7:17 Euen so euery good tree bryngeth forth good frute. But a corrupte tree/ bryngeth forth euyll frute. Eue so euery good tree bringeth forth good frutes. But a corrupte tree, bringeth forth euell frutes. Euen so euery good tree bryngeth forth good frute. But a corrupte tree/ bryngeth forth euyll frute. Euen so euery good tre briiureth forth good fruit: and a corrupt tre brtngeth forth euyl fruit.
7:18 A good tree cannot brynge forthe bad frute: nor yet a bad tree can bringe forth good frute. A good tre can not brynge forth bad frute: nether can a bad tree bring forth good frutes. A good tree cannot brynge forthe bad frute: nor yet a bad tree can bringe forth good frute. A good tre, can not bryng forth bad fruit: nor yet a bad tre, can bryng forth good fruit.
7:19 Euery tree that bringeth not forth good frute/ shalbe hewen doune/ and cast into the fyre. Euery tree that bringeth not forth good frute, is hewen downe, and cast into the fyre. Euery tree that bringeth not forth good frute/ shalbe hewen doune/ and cast into the fyre. Euery tre not bringing forth good fruit, is hewen down, & cast into the fyre.
7:20 Wherfore by their frutes ye shall knowe thē. Wherfore, by their frutes ye shall knowe them. Wherfore by their frutes ye shall knowe thē. Then, by their fruites ye shal know them.
7:21 Not all they that saye vnto me/ Master/ master/ shall enter in to the kyngdome of heauē: but he that dothe my fathers will which is in heauen. Not euery one that sayth vnto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kyngdome of heauen: but he that doth the wyll of my father, which is in heauen. Not all they that saye vnto me/ Master/ master/ shall enter in to the kyngdome of heauē: but he that dothe my fathers will which is in heauen. Not al they that say vnto me. Lord, Lord, shal enter into the kingdome of heauen: but he that doth my fathers wyl whych is in heauen.
7:22 Many will saye to me in that daye: Master/ master/ haue we not in thy name prophesied? And in thy name haue caste oute deuyls? And in thy name haue done many miracles? Many wyll saye to me in that daye: Lord, Lorde, haue we not prophecyed thorow thy name? And thorow thy name haue cast out deuyls? And done many miraracles thorow thy name? Many will saye to me in that daye: Master/ master/ haue we not in thy name prophesied? And in thy name haue caste oute deuyls? And in thy name haue done many miracles? Many wyl say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, haue we not by thy name prophecied? and by thy name haue cast out deoules? And by thy name haue done many miracles?
7:23 And then will I knowlege vnto them that I neuer knewe them. Departe frō me/ ye workers of iniquite. And then wyll I knowledge vnto them. I neuer knewe you. Departe fro me, ye that worcke iniquyte. And then will I knowlege vnto them that I neuer knewe them. Departe frō me/ ye workers of iniquite. And then wil I professe to them, I neuer knewe you. Departe from me ye that worke iniquitie.
7:24 Whosoeuer heareth of me these sayinges/ & doth the same/ I will lyken him vnto a wyse man which bylt his housse on a rocke: For whosoeuer heareth of me these wordes, & doth the same, I will lyken hym vnto a wyse man, which buylt hys house vpon a rock: Whosoeuer heareth of me these sayinges/ & doth the same/ I will lyken him vnto a wyse man which bylt his housse on a rocke: Whosoeuer then heareth of me these sayinges, & doth the same, I wil liken him to a wise man, which hath builded his house on a rocke:
7:25 & aboundance of rayne descended/ & the fluddes came/ and the windes blewe & bet vpon that same housse & it fell not/ because it was grounded on the rocke. and a shower of rayne descended, & the flouddes came, & the wyndes blewe, and bet vpon that house, & it fell not, because it was grounded on the rocke. & aboundance of rayne descended/ & the fluddes came/ and the windes blewe & bet vpon that same housse & it fell not/ because it was grounded on the rocke. And the rayne fel, and the floudes came, and the wyndes blew, & beat vpon that same house, and it fel not: for it was grounded on a rocke.
7:26 And whosoeuer heareth of me these sayinges and do them not/ shalbe lykened vnto a folysh man which bylt his housse vpon the sonde: And euery one that heareth of me these wordes, and doth them not shalbe likened vnto a folysh man, which built his house vpon sande: And whosoeuer heareth of me these sayinges and do them not/ shalbe lykened vnto a folysh man which bylt his housse vpon the sonde: But whosoeuer heareth these woordes ■which I speake, and doth them not: shalbe lykened vnto a folyshe man, whych hath buylded his house vpon the sand:
7:27 and aboundaunce of rayne descended/ and the fluddes came/ and the windes blewe and beet vpon that housse/ and it fell/ and great was the fall of it. and a shower of rayne descended, and the floudes came, and the wyndes blew, and bet vpon that house, and it fell, and greate was the fall of it. and aboundaunce of rayne descended/ and the fluddes came/ and the windes blewe and beet vpon that housse/ and it fell/ and great was the fall of it. And the rayne fel, and the floudes came, and the windes blewe, and beat vpon that house, and it fel, and great was the fall of it.
7:28 And it came to passe/ that when Iesus had ended these sayinges/ the people were astonnyed at his doctrine. And it came to passe, that when Iesus had ended these sayinges, the people were astonnyed at hys doctryne. And it came to passe/ that when Iesus had ended these sayinges/ the people were astonnyed at his doctrine. And it came to passe, when Iesus had ended these sayinges, the people were astonied at his doctrine.
7:29 For he taught them as one hauinge power/ and not as the Scribes. For he taught them as one hauinge power, and not as the scribes. For he taught them as one hauinge power/ and not as the Scribes. For he taught them as one hauyng autoritie, and not as the Scribe*.
