Matthew: Chapter 24

24:1 ANd Iesus went out & departed frō the temple: & his disciples came to him/ for to shewe him the byldinge of the tēple. And Iesus went out, & departed from the temple: & hys discyples came to him, for to shewe him the byldynges of the temple. 24:2 Iesus sayde vnto them: se ye not all these thinges? Verely I saye vnto you: ther shall not be here lefte one stone vpon another/ that shall not be cast doune. And Iesus sayd vnto them, See ye not all these thingea? Verely I say vnto you, there shal not be here left one stone vpon another, that shal not be cast downe.
24:3 And as he sat vpon the mount Oliuete/ his disciples came vnto him secretly sayinge. Tell vs when these thinges shalbe: and what signe shalbe of thy comminge and of the ende of the worlde? And as he sat vpon mount Oliuete, hys disciples came vnto him secretly, saying: Tell vs: when shall these thinges be: & what shalbe the token of thy commyng & of the ende of the world? And as he sat vpon the mount Oliuete/ his disciples came vnto him secretly sayinge. Tell vs when these thinges shalbe: and what signe shalbe of thy comminge and of the ende of the worlde? And as he sate vpon the mount of Oliues, his disciples came vnto him them selues alone, saying, Telvs when these thynges shalbe, & what signe shalbe of thy commyng, and of the ende of the worlde?
24:4 And Iesus answered and sayde vnto them: take hede that no man deceaue you. And Iesus answered, and sayd vnto them: take hede, that no man deceaue you. 24:5 For many shall come in my name sayinge: I am Christ: and shall deceaue many. 24:6 Ye shall heare of warres/ and of the fame of warres: but se that ye be not troubled. 24:7 For naciō shall ryse agaynst naciō/ & realme agaynst realme: & ther shalbe pestilence/ honger and erthquakes in all quarters. Nacion shall ryse agaynst nacion, and realme agaynst realme: and ther shalbe pestilence, & hunger, and erthquakes in all places. 24:9 Then shall they put you to trouble/ & shall kyll you: & ye shalbe hated of all nacions for my names sake. 24:12 And because iniquite shall haue the vpper hande/ the loue of many shall abate. And because iniquite shall haue the vpper hand, the loue of many shall abate. 24:14 And this glad tidynges of the kyngdome shalbe preached in all the worlde/ for a witnes vnto all nacions: and then shall the ende come. And this Gospell of the kyngdome shalbe preached in all the worlde, for a wytnes vnto all nacyons, and then shall the ende come. 24:15 When ye therfore shall se the abhominaciō that betokeneth desolacion/ spoken of by Daniel the Prophet/ stonde in the holy place: let him that redeth it/ vnderstonde it. When ye therfore shall se the abhominacion of desolacion (that was spoken of by Daniel the prophet) stande in the holy place: whoso readeth it let him vnderstande. When ye therfore shall se the abhominaciō that betokeneth desolacion/ spoken of by Daniel the Prophet/ stonde in the holy place: let him that redeth it/ vnderstonde it. When ye therfore shal see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the Prophet, standyng in the holy place: let him that readeth it, take hede.
24:16 Then let them which be in Iury/ flye into the moūtaynes. Then lett them whych be in Iewry, flye into the mountaynes. Then let them which be in Iury/ flye into the moūtaynes. Then let them which be in Iurie, flye into the mountaynes.
24:17 And let him which is on the housse toppe/ not come downe to fet eny thinge out of his housse. And let hym whych is on the house toppe, not come downe to fet eny thinge out of hys house. And let him which is on the housse toppe/ not come downe to fet eny thinge out of his housse. And let hym which is on the house top, not come downe to fet any thing out of his house.
24:18 Nether let him which is in the felde/ returne backe to fetche his clothes. Nether let him whych is in the felde, returne backe to fetche his clothes. 24:19 Wo shalbe in those dayes to thē that are with childe/ & to them that geue sucke. Wo shalbe in those dayes to them that are wt chylde, & to them that geue sucke. 24:20 But praye that youre flight be not in the winter/ nether on the Saboth daye. But praye ye that youre flyght be not in the winter, nether on the Saboth daye. 24:21 For then shalbe greate tribulaciō/ suche as was not from the beginninge of the worlde to this tyme/ ner shalbe. For then shalbe great tribulacions suche as was not sens the begynning of the worlde to this tyme, nor shalbe. 24:22 Ye & except those dayes shuld be shortened/ there shuld no flesshe be saued: but for the chosens sake/ those dayes shalbe shortened. 24:23 Then yf eny man shall saye vnto you: lo/ here is Christ/ or there is Christ: beleue it not. Then yf eny man saye vnto you: lo here is Chryst, or there: beleue it not. Then yf eny man shall saye vnto you: lo/ here is Christ/ or there is Christ: beleue it not. Then if any man shal saye vnto you: Lo, here is Christe, or there is Christe: beleue it not.
24:24 For there shall arise false Christes/ & false prophetes/ and shall do great myracles and wondres. In so moche that if it were possible/ the verie electe shuld be deceaued. For there shall aryse false Chrystes, and false prophetes and shall shew great miracles, & wondres. In so moch (that yf it were possyble) the verie electe shuld be deceaued: For there shall arise false Christes/ & false prophetes/ and shall do great myracles and wondres. In so moche that if it were possible/ the verie electe shuld be deceaued. For there shal aryse false Christes, & false prophetes, and shal do great miracles, and wonders: In so muche, that yf it were possible, the very electe should be deceaued.
24:25 Take hede/ I haue tolde you before. behold, I haue tolde you before. Take hede/ I haue tolde you before. Behold, I haue tolde you before.
24:26 Wherfore if they shall saye vnto you: beholde he is in the desert/ go not forth: beholde he is in the secret places/ beleue not. Wherfore, yf they saye vnto you: beholde, he is in the desert, go not ye forth: behold, he is in the secret places, beleue it not. Wherfore if they shall saye vnto you: beholde he is in the desert/ go not forth: beholde he is in the secret places/ beleue not. 24:27 For as the lightninge cometh out of the eest/ and shyneth into the weest: so shall the comminge of the sonne of man be. For as the lyghtnynge commeth out of the East, and appeareth into the west: so shall the commynge of the sonne of man be. For as the lightninge cometh out of the eest/ and shyneth into the weest: so shall the comminge of the sonne of man be. 24:28 For where soeuer a deed karkas is/ euen thyther will the egles resorte. For wheresoeuer a deed karkas is, euen thether wyll the Egles also be gathered together. For where soeuer a deed karkas is/ euen thyther will the egles resorte. For where soeuer a dead carkas is, euen thyther wyl the Egles resort.
24:29 Immediatly after the tribulaciōs of those dayes/ shall the sunne be derkened: & the mone shall not geue hyr light/ & the starres shall fall frō heauē/ & the powers of heauē shall moue. Immediatly after the tribulacyons of those dayes, shall the sonne be derkened: & the moone shall not geue her lyght, and the starres shall fall from heauen, & the powers of heauen shall be moued. Immediatly after the tribulaciōs of those dayes/ shall the sunne be derkened: & the mone shall not geue hyr light/ & the starres shall fall frō heauē/ & the powers of heauē shall moue. Immediatly after the tribulations of those dayes, shal the suntie be darkened: and the mone shal not geue her lyght, and the starres shal fal from heauen, and the powers of heauen shal be tossed.
24:30 And then shall appere the signe of the sonne of man in heauen. And then shall all the kynreddes of the erth morne/ & they shall se the sonne of man come in the cloudes of heauē with power & greate glorie. And then shall appeare the token of the sonne of man in heauen. And then shall all the kynredes of the earth mourne, and they shall se the sonne of man commyng in the cloudes of heauen, wyth power & greate glorie And then shall appere the signe of the sonne of man in heauen. And then shall all the kynreddes of the erth morne/ & they shall se the sonne of man come in the cloudes of heauē with power & greate glorie. And then shal appeare the signe of the Sonne of man in heauen. And then shal all the kynreds of the earth moume, and they shal see the Sonne of man come in the cloudes of heauen with power and great glorie.
24:31 And he shall sende his angels with the greate voyce of a trompe/ and they shall gader to gether his chosen/ from the fower wyndes/ and from the one ende of the worlde to the other. And he shall sende his Angels wt the greate voyce of a trompett, & they shall gather to gether his chosen, from the foure wyndes: euen from the hyghest partes of heauen, vntyll the endes ther of. And he shall sende his angels with the greate voyce of a trompe/ and they shall gader to gether his chosen/ from the fower wyndes/ and from the one ende of the worlde to the other. And he shal send his Angels with the great voyce of a trompet, & they shal gather together his chosen, from the four windes, and from the one ende of the world to the other.
24:32 Learne a similitude of the fygge tree: when his braunches are yet tender & his leues sprōge/ ye knowe that sommer is nye. 24:33 So lyke wyse ye/ when ye see all these thinges/ be ye sure that it is neare/ euen at the dores. So lykewyse ye, when ye se all these thinges, be ye sure that it is neare, euen at the dores. 24:34 Verely I saye vnto you/ that this generacion shall not passe tyll all these be fulfilled. 24:35 Heauen & erth shall perisshe/ but my wordes shall abide. Heauen & earth shall passe, but my wordes shall not passe. Heauen & erth shall perisshe/ but my wordes shall abide. Heauen and earth shall passeawaye: butmy wordes shal not passe awaye.
24:36 But of that daye and houre knoweth no man/ no not the angels of heauen/ but my father only. But of that daye and houre knoweth no man, no not the angels of heauen, but my father onely. 24:37 As the tyme of Noe was/ so lykewyse shall the comminge of the sonne of man be. But as the dayes of Noe were, so shall also the commynge of the sonne of man be. As the tyme of Noe was/ so lykewyse shall the comminge of the sonne of man be. But as the tyme of Noe was, so like wyse shal the comming of the Sonne of man be.

24:43 Of this be sure/ that yf the good man of the housse knewe what houre the thefe wolde come: he wolde suerly watche/ and not suffre his housse to be broken vppe. Of this yet be sure, that yf the good man of the house knew what houre the thefe wolde come: he wolde suerly watche, & not suffre hys house to be broken vp. 24:44 Therfore be ye also redy/ for in the houre ye thinke he wolde not: wyll the sonne of man come. Therfore, be ye also ready, for in soch an houre as ye thynke not: wyll the sonne of man come. 24:45 If there be any faythfull seruaunt & wyse/ whome his master hath made ruler ouer his housholde to geue them meate in season conuenient: Who is a faythfull & wyse seruaunt, whom his Lorde hath made ruler ouer his housholde, to geue them meate in season. 24:46 happy is that seruaūt whom his master (when he cometh) shall finde so doinge. Blessed is that seruaunt whom hys Lord (when he cometh) shall fynde so doynge: happy is that seruaūt whom his master (when he cometh) shall finde so doinge. Happy is that seruant whome his master (when he commeth) shal fynde so doyng.
24:47 Verely I saye vnto you/ he shall make him ruler ouer all his goodes. Verely I saye vnto you, that he shall make hym ruler ouer all hys goodes. Verely I saye vnto you/ he shall make him ruler ouer all his goodes. Verely I say vnto you, he shal make him ruler ouer al his goodes.
24:48 But & yf that euyll seruaunt shall saye in his herte/ my master will defer his cōminge/ But & yf that euyll seruaunt saye in hys herte, my Lorde wyll be long a commyng But & yf that euyll seruaunt shall saye in his herte/ my master will defer his cōminge/ But and if that euyl seruant shal say in his hart, My master doth deferre his commyng,
24:49 & begynne to smyte his felowes/ ye and to eate & to drynke with the dronken: (and so begynne to smyte his felowes, yee, and to eate & drincke wyth the droncken) & begynne to smyte his felowes/ ye and to eate & to drynke with the dronken: And begyn to smyte his folowes, yea, and to eat and to drincke with the dronken,
24:50 that seruauntes master will come in a daye when he loketh not for him/ and in an houre that he is not ware of/ the same seruauntes Lord shall come in a daye when he loketh not for hym, and in an houre that he is not ware of, that seruauntes master will come in a daye when he loketh not for him/ and in an houre that he is not ware of/ That seruantes master wyl cowne in a day, when he loketh not for him, and in an houre that he is not ware of:
24:51 and wyll deuyde him/ and geue him his rewarde with ypocrites. And there shalbe wepinge & gnassinge of teth. & shall hewe him in peces, & geue hym his porcyon wyth ypocrites: there shalbe wepynge and gnasshynge of teth. and wyll deuyde him/ and geue him his rewarde with ypocrites. And there shalbe wepinge & gnassinge of teth. And wyl cut hym of, and geue hym his portion with hypocrites, there shalbe wepyng, and gnasshyng of teeth.
