7:1 WHen he had ended all his sayingſ in the audience of the people/ he entred īto Capernaum. VVhen he had ended all his sainges in the audience of the people/ he entred into Capernaū. 7:2 And the servaunt off a certayne Centurion was sicke/ and redy to dye/ whom he made moche of. And a certayne Centurions seruaunte was sicke and redy to dye whom he made moche of. And a certayne Centurions seruaunte was sicke and redy to dye/ whom he made moche of. and a captaynes seruaunt laye deed sicke, whom he loued.
7:3 And when he herde of Iesu/ he sent vnto hym the seniours of the iewes/ besechynge him that he wolde come and save his servaunt. And when he hearde of Iesu/ he sent vnto him the elders of the Iewes/ besechinge him yt he wolde come & heale his servaunt. And when he hearde of Iesu/ he sent vnto him the elders of the Iewes/ besechinge him that he wolde come and heale his seruaunt. Whā he herde of Iesus, he sent the elders of the Iewes vnto him, and prayed him, that he wolde come, and make his seruaunt whole.
7:4 And they cam to Iesus ād besought hī instantly/ sayinge: He is worthy that thou shuldest do this for hym. And they came to Iesus and besought him instantly sayinge: He is worthi that thou shuldest do this for him. And they came to Iesus and besought him instantly sayinge: He is worthy that thou shuldest do this for him. But whā they came to Iesus, they besought him instantly, & sayde: He is worthy yt thou shuldest shewe this for him,
7:5 For he loveth oure nacion/ and hath bilt vs a sinagoge. For he loveth oure nacion/ and hath bilt vs a sinagoge For he loueth oure nacion/ and hath bylt vs a synagoge. And Iesus went with them. for he loueth oure people, & hath buylded vs ye synagoge.
7:6 And Iesus went with them. And whē he was nott farre from the housse/ the Centurion sent to hym hys frendes/ sayinge vnto hym: Lorde trouble not thy silfe/ for I am nott worthy that thou shuldest enter into my housse. And Iesus went with them. And when he was not farre frō the housse/ the Centuriō sent frendes to him sayinge vnto him: Lorde trouble not thy silfe: for I am not worthy yt thou shuldest enter vnder my roffe. And when he was not farre from the housse/ the Centurion sent frendes to him sayinge vnto him: Lorde trouble not thy selfe: for I am not worthy that thou shuldest enter vnder my roffe. And Iesus wente wt them. Now whan they were not farre from ye house, ye captaine sent frēdes vnto hī, saiēge vnto him: Oh LORDE, trouble not thy self, I am not worthy, yt thou shuldest enter vnder my rofe,
7:7 Wherfore I thought nott my silfe worthy to come vnto the: but saye the worde and my servaunt shalbe whoole. Wherfore I thought not my silfe worthy to come vnto the: but saye the worde/ and my servaunt shalbe whoole. Wherfore I thought not my selfe worthy to come vnto the: but saye the worde/ and my seruaunt shalbe whoole. and therfore I thought not my self worthy to come to ye: but speake ye worde, & my seruaūt shalbe whole.
7:8 For I lyke wyse am a mā vnder power/ and have vnder me soudiers/ ād I saye vnto won/ goo: ād he goeth. And to another/ come: and he cometh. And to my servaunt/ do this: and he doeth it. For I lyke wyse am a man vnder power/ and have vnder me soudiers/ & I saye vnto won/ goo: and he goeth. And to another/ come: and he cometh. And to my servaunt/ do this: & he doeth it. For I lyke wyse am a man vnder power/ and haue vnder me soudiers/ and I saye vnto wone/ go: and he goeth. And to another/ come: and he cometh. And to my servaunt/ do this: and he doeth it. For I my self also am a mā, subiecte to the hygher auctorite, & haue soudyers vnder me. And I saye vnto one: Go, & he goeth. And to another: Come, & he cōmeth. And to my seruaūt: Do this, & he doeth it.
7:9 When Iesus herde this he merveyled at him/ and turned hym about ād sayd to the people that folowed hym: I saye vnto you/ I have not founde soo greate fayth/ noo nott in Israhel/ certaynly. Whan Iesus herde yt, he marueyled at hī, & turned him aboute, & sayde vnto ye people yt folowed hī: I saye vnto you: So greate faith haue I not founde, no not in Israel.
7:10 And they that wer sent/ turned backe home agayne/ ād founde the servaunt that was sicke whoole. And they yt were sent/ turned backe home agayne/ & founde the servaunt that was sicke/ whoole. 7:11 And it fortuned after that/ he went into a cite called Naym/ and hys disciples went with hī/ and a greate nomber off people. And it fortuned after that/ that he went into a cite called Naim/ & many of his disciples went wt him/ & moche people. And it fortuned after that/ that he went into a cite called Naim/ and many of his disciples went with him & moche people. And it fortuned afterwarde, that he wēte in to a cite called Naim, and many of his disciples wente with him, and moch people.
7:12 When he cam nye to the gate off the cite/ beholde/ there was a deed man caried out/ which was the only sonne of his mother/ and she was a widowe/ and moche people off the cite was with her. When he came nye to the gate of the cite: beholde/ ther was a deed man caried out which was ye only sonne of his mother/ and she was a widowe/ and moche people of the cite was with her. 7:13 And the lorde sawe her/ and had compassion on her/ and sayde vnto her: wepe not. And when ye lorde sawe her/ he had compassion on her/ & sayde vnto her: wepe not. And when the lorde sawe her/ he had compassion on her/ & sayde vnto her: wepe not. And whan the LORDE sawe her, he had cōpassion on her, and sayde vnto her: Wepe not.
7:14 And went and touched the coffyn/ and they that bare hym stode still. And he sayde: Yonge man/ I saye vnto the/ aryse. And he went & touched the coffyn/ & they yt bare him/ stode still. And he sayde: Yonge man/ I saye vnto the/ aryse. And he went and touched the coffyn/ and they that bare him/ stode still. And he sayde: Yonge man/ I saye vnto the/ aryse. 7:15 And the deed sate vp/ and began to speake. And he delivered hym to his mother. And ye deed sate vp & beganne to speake. And he delyvered him to his mother. And the deed sate vp/ and beganne to speake. And he deliuered him to his mother. And the deed sat vp, and beganne to speake. And he delyuered him vnto his mother.
7:16 And there cā a feare on thē all. And they glorified god sayīge: a greate prophet ys rysen amonge vs/ and God hath visited hys people. And ther cā a feare on thē all. 7:17 And thys rumor off hym went forthe throughout all Iewry/ and thorowout all the regions whych lye rounde about. And this rumor of him wēt forthe throughout all Iurie/ and thorowout all the regions which lye rounde about. And this rumor of him went forthe throughout all Iurie/ and thorowout all the regions which lye rounde about. And this fame of him was noysed in all Iewry, and in all ye regions that laye rounde aboute.
7:18 And vnto Ihon shewed hys disciples off all these thynges. And ye disciples of Iohn shewed him of all these thinges. And the disciples of Iohn shewed him of all these thinges. And the disciples of Ihō shewed him of all these thinges.
7:19 And Ihon called vnto hym two off hys disciples/ and sent them to Iesus sayinge: Arte thou he that shall come: or shall we loke for another? And Iohn called vnto him .ii. of his disciples/ & sent thē to Iesus sayinge: Arte thou he that shall come: or shall we loke for another? And Iohn called vnto him .ij. of his disciples/ and sent them to Iesus sayinge: Arte thou he that shulde come: or shall we loke for another? And Ihon called vnto him two of his disciples, and sent thē vnto Iesus sayenge: Art thou he that shal come, or shal we loke for another?
7:20 When the men wer come vnto hym/ they sayde: Ihon baptiste sent vs vnto the sayinge: Arte thou he that shall come: or shall we wayte for another? When the men were come vnto him/ they sayde: Iohn baptiste sent vs vnto ye sayinge: Arte thou he that shall come: or shall we wayte for another? When the men were come vnto him they sayde: Iohn baptiste sent vs vnto the sayinge: Arte thou he that shulde come: or shall we wayte for another? Whan the men came to him, they sayde: Ihon ye baptist hath sent vs vnto the, sayenge: Art thou he that shal come, or shal we loke for another?
7:21 Att that same tyme/ he cured many off their infirmittes/ and plages/ And off evyll spretes/ and vnto many thatt were blynde/ he gave sightt) And at yt same tyme he cured many of their infirmites & plages/ & of evyll spretes/ & vnto many that were blynde/ he gave sight. And at that same tyme he cured many of their infirmities and plages/ and of euyll spretes/ and vnto many that were blynde he gaue syght. At the same houre healed he many from sicknesses & plages, and frō euell spretes, and vnto many that were blynde, he gaue sight.
7:22 And he answered/ and sayd vnto them: Goo youre wayes and shewe Ihon/ what thinges ye have herde ād sene: howe that the blynde se/ the halt goo/ the lepers are clensed/ the deafe heare/ the deed aryse: To the pover is the gospell preached/ And Iesus answered and sayd vnto them: Goo youre wayes & shewe Iohn/ what thinges ye have sene and harde: how yt the blynde se/ the halt goo/ the lepers are clensed/ the deafe heare/ the deed aryse/ to the poore is the glad tydinges preached/ And Iesus answered/ and sayd vnto them: Go youre wayes and shewe Iohn/ what thinges ye haue sene and harde: how that the blynde se/ the halt go/ the lepers are clensed/ the deafe heare/ the deed aryse to the poore is the glad tydinges preached/ And Iesus answered, & sayde vnto thē: Go yor waye, shewe Ihon, what ye haue sene & herde. The blynde se, the halt go, the lepers are clensed, the deaf heare, the deed aryse, the Gospell is preached vnto ye poore,
7:23 and happi is he that falleth not/ by the reason of me. and happy is he/ that is not offended by me. and happy is he/ that is not offended by me. and blessed is he, that is not offended at me.
7:24 When the messengers of Ihon wer departed/ he begā to speake vnto the people of Ihon: What went ye out for to se in to the desert? went ye to se arede shaken with the wynde? When ye messengers of Iohn were departed/ he began to speake vnto ye people of Iohn What wēt ye oute into ye wildernes for to se? went ye to se arede shaken wt ye wynde? When the messengers of Iohn were departed/ he began to speake vnto the people of Iohn What went ye oute into the wildernes for to se? went ye to se a rede shaken with the wynde? Whan the messaungers of Ihō were departed, Iesus begāne to speake vnto ye people cōcernynge Ihō: What are ye gone out for to se in ye wyldernesse? Wolde ye se a rede, that is shakē wt the wynde?
7:25 But what wēt ye out forto se? a man clothed in saufte raymēt? Beholde they which are gorgeously apparelled/ and lyve delicatly/ are in kynges courtes. But what went ye out for to se? A mā clothed in soofte rayment? Beholde they which are gorgeously apparelled/ & lyve delicatly/ are in kynges courtes. But what went ye out for to se? A man clothed in softe rayment? Beholde they which are gorgeously apparelled/ and lyue delycatly/ are in kynges courtes. Or what are ye gone out for to se? Wolde ye se a mā clothed in soft rayment? Beholde, they that are gorgiously arayed, & lyue delycately, are in kynges courtes.
7:26 Bntt what went ye forth to se? A prophet? Ye I saye to you/ and moare then a prophet. But what went ye forth to se? A prophete? Ye I saye to you/ & moare then a prophete But what went ye forth to se? A Prophete? Ye I saye to you/ and moare then a Prophete. Or what are ye gone out for to se? Wolde ye se a prophet? Yee I saye vnto you: one that is more thē a prophet.
7:27 This is he of whō hit is wrytten: Beholde I sende my messenger before thy face/ to prepare thy waye before the. This is he of whō it is wryttē: Beholde I sende my messenger before thy face/ to prepare thy waye before the. 7:28 I saye vnto you: A greater prophett then Ihon amonge wemens children/ is there none. Neverthelesse won that is lesse in the kyngdom of God/ is greater then he. For I saye vnto you: a greater prophete then Iohn/ amōge wemēs chyldrē is ther none. Neverthelesse one yt is lesse in ye kyngdō of god/ is greater thē he For I saye vnto you: a greater Prophete then Iohn/ amonge wemens chyldren is ther none. Neuerthelesse one that is lesse in the kyngdome of God/ is greater then he. For I saye vnto you: Amonge thē yt are borne of wemē, there is no greater prophet thē Ihon the baptist. Notwith stondynge he that is lesse in the kyngdome of God, is greater then he.
7:29 And all the people that herde/ and the publicans iustified God/ which wer baptised in the baptim of Ihon. And all the people that hearde/ and the publicans/ iustified God/ and were baptised with the baptim of Iohn. And all the people that hearde/ and the publicans/ iustified God/ and were baptised with the baptim of Iohn. And all the people that herde him, and ye publicans, iustified God, and were baptysed with the baptyme of Ihon.
7:30 But the pharyses and scribes despised the counsell off God/ agaynst them selves/ and wer not baptised of hym. But the pharises & scribes despised ye counsell of god agaynst them selves/ and were not baptised of him. But the Pharises & Scribes despised the counsell of God agaynst them selues/ and were not baptised of him. But the Pharises and scrybes despysed ye councell of God against thē selues, & were not baptised of hī.
7:31 And the lorde sayd: Where vnto shall I lyken the men of this generacion/ ād whatt thynge are they lyke? And ye lorde sayd: Wher vnto shall I lykē the men of this generacion/ & what thinge are they lyke? And the lorde sayd: Wher vnto shall I lyken the men of this generacion/ and what thinge are they lyke? But the LORDE saide: Where vnto shal I licken the men of this generacion? And whom are they like?
7:32 They are lyke vnto chyldren sittynge in the market place/ and cryinge one to another/ and sayinge: We have pyped vnto you/ and ye have nott daunsed: We have mourned to you/ and ye have not wept. They are lyke vnto chyldrē sittynge in ye market place/ & cryinge one to another/ & sayinge: We have pyped vnto you/ & ye hahave not daunsed: we have mourned to you/ and ye have not wept. They are lyke vnto chyldren sittynge in the market place/ and cryinge one to another/ and sayinge: We haue pyped vnto you/ and ye haue not daunsed: we haue mourned to you/ and ye haue not wept. They are like vnto childrē which syt in the market, and crye one to another, and saye: We haue pyped vnto you, and ye haue not daunsed: we haue mourned vnto you, & ye haue not wepte.
7:33 For Ihon baptist cā vnto you nether eatynge breed/ ner drynkynge wyne/ and ye saye: he hath the devyll. For Iohn baptist cam/ nether eatynge breed ner drinkynge wyne/ & ye saye: he hath the devyll. For Iohn Baptist cam/ nether eatynge breed ner drinckynge wyne/ and ye saye: he hath the deuyll. For Ihon ye baptist came, and ate no bred, and drāke no wyne, and ye saye: he hath ye deuell.
7:34 The sonne off mā is come and eateth and drynketh/ and ye saye: beholde a man which is a glotton/ and a drynker of wyne/ the frēde of publicans and sinners. The sonne of man is come and eateth and drinketh/ & ye saye: beholde a man which is a glotton/ & a drinker of wyne/ a frende of publicans and synners. The sonne of man is come and eateth and drincketh/ and ye saye: beholde a man which is a glotten/ and a drincker of wyne/ a frende of publicans and synners. 7:35 And wisdom is iustified of all her chyldren. Yet is wysdome iustified of all her chyldren. Yet is wysdome iustified of all her chyldren. And wyssdome is iustified of all hir children.
7:36 And one off the pharyses desired hym that he wolde eate with hym. And he cam in to the pharises housse/ and sate doune to meate. And one of the pharises desyred him that he wolde eate with him. And he went into ye pharises housse/ & sate doune to meate. And one of the Pharises desyred him that he wolde eate with him. And he went into the Pharises housse/ and sate doune to meate. And one of the Pharises desyred him, yt he wolde eate with him. And he wente in to the Pharises house, and sat him downe at ye table.
7:37 And beholde a woman in that cite/ which was a synner/ as sone as she knewe that Iesus sate at meate in the pharises housse/ she brought an alablaster boxe of oyntmēt/ And beholde a woman in that cite/ which was a synner/ assone as she knewe that Iesus sate at meate in the pharises housse/ she brought an alablaster boxe of oyntmēt/ And beholde a woman in that cite/ which was a synner/ assone as she knewe that Iesus sate at meate in the Pharises housse/ she brought an alablaster boxe of oyntment/ And beholde, there was in the cite a womā, which was a synner. 7:38 and she stode at his fete behynde hym wepynge/ and began to wesshe his fete/ with teares/ and did wipe them with the heares off her heed/ and kyssed his fete/ and anoynted them with oyntment. & she stode at his fete behynde him wepynge/ and beganne to wesshe his fete with teares/ and dyd wipe thē with the heares of her heed/ and kyssed his fete/ and anoynted them with oyntment. & she stode at his fete behynde him wepynge/ and beganne to wesshe his fete with teares/ and dyd wipe them with the heares of her heed/ and kissed his fete/ and anoynted them with oyntment. & stode behynde at his fete, and wepte, and beganne to water his fete with teares, and to drye thē wt the hayres of hir heade, and kyssed his fete, & anoynted thē with oyntmēt.
7:39 When the pharise which bade hym to his housse/ sawe that/ he spake with in hym sylfe: sayinge: Yf this man wer a prophet/ he wolde surely have knowen who and what maner woman this is which toucheth hym/ for she is a synner. When the pharise which bade him/ sawe that/ he spake with in him sylfe/ sayinge: If this man were a prophete/ he wolde surely have knowen who & what maner woman this is which toucheth him/ for she is a synner. When the Pharise which bade him/ sawe that/ he spake with in him selfe/ sayinge: If this man were a Prophete/ he wolde surely haue knowen who and what maner woman this is which toucheth him/ for she is a synner. But whan the Pharise which had called him sawe that, he spake within himself, and sayde: Yf this mā were a prophet, he wolde knowe who, & what maner of woman this is that toucheth him, for she is a synner.
7:40 And Iesus answered/ and sayde vnto hym: Simon I have somwhat to saye vnto the. And he sayd: Master saye ō. And Iesus answered & sayde vnto him: Simon I have some what to saye vnto ye. And he sayd master saye on. And Iesus answered and sayde vnto him: Simon I haue somewhat to saye vnto the. And he sayd master saye on. And Iesus answered, and saide vnto him: Simō, I haue somewhat to saye vnto the. He sayde: Master saye on.
7:41 There was a certayne lender/ which had two detters/ the one ought five hondred pence/ and the other fifty. There was a certayne lender which had two detters/ ye one ought five hondred pence/ & the other fyfty. There was a certayne lender which had two detters/ the one ought fyue hondred pēnce and the other fyfty. A certayne lender had two detters, the one ought fyue hundreth pens, the other fiftie:
7:42 When they had nothinge to paye/ he forgave them boothe. Which of thē tell me/ will love hym moost? When they had nothinge to paye/ he forgave thē boothe. Which of them tell me/ will love him moost? When they had nothinge to paye he forgaue them boothe. Which of them tell me/ will loue him moost? but whan they had no thinge to paye, he forgaue thē both. Tell me which of them wyl loue him most?
7:43 Simon answered/ and sayde: I suppose that he to whom he forgave moost. And he sayde vnto hī: Thou hast truely iudged. Simon answered and sayde: I suppose/ that he to whom he forgave moost. And he sayde vnto him: Thou hast truly iudged. Simon answered and sayde: I suppose/ that he to whom he forgaue moost. And he sayde vnto him: Thou hast truly iudged. Symon answered, and sayde: He, (I suppose) to whō he forgaue most. Then sayde he vnto him: Thou hast iudged right.
7:44 And he turned to the woman/ and sayde vnto Simon: Seist thou thys woman? I entred īto thy housse/ and thou gavest me noo water to my fete: butt she hath wesshte my fete with teares/ ād wiped them with the heeres of her heed. And he turned to the woman/ & sayde vnto Simon: Seist thou this woman? I entred into thy housse/ & thou gavest me noo water to my fete but she hath wesshed my fete with teares/ & wiped thē with the heeres of her heed. And he turned to the woman and sayde vnto Simon: Seist thou this woman? I entred into thy housse/ & thou gauest me no water to my fete: but she hath wesshed my fete with teares/ and wyped them with the heeres of her heed. And he turned him to the woman, and sayde vnto Symō: Seist thou this womā? I am come in to thine house, thou hast geuē me no water vnto my fete, but she hath watred my fete with teares, and dryed thē wt the hayres of hir heade:
7:45 Thou gavest me no kysse: but she/ sence the tyme I cam ī/ hath not ceased to kysse my fete. Thou gavest me no kysse: but she/ sence ye tyme I came in/ hath not ceased to kysse my fete Thou gauest me no kisse: but she/ sence the tyme I came in/ hath not ceased to kisse my fete. Thou hast geuē me no kysse, but she (sens the tyme she came in) hath not ceassed to kysse my fete:
7:46 Myne heed with oyle thou didest nott anoynte: and she hath annoynted my fete with oyntment. Myne heed wt oyle thou dydest not anoynte: but she hath annoynted my fete wt oyntmēt. Myne heed with oyle thou dydest not anoynte: but she hath anoynted my fete with oyntment. Thou hast not anointed my heade wt oyle, but she hath anoynted my heade with oyntment.
7:47 Wherefore I saye vnto the: many synnes are forgeven her/ because she loved moche. To whō lesse is forgeven/ the same doeth lesse love. Wherefore I saye vnto the: many synnes are forgevē her/ for she loved moche. To whom lesse is forgeven/ the same doeth lesse love. Wherfore I saye vnto the: many synnes are forgeuen her/ for she loued moche. To whom lesse is forgeuen/ the same doeth lesse loue. Therfore I saye vnto the: Many synnes are forgeuen her, for she hath loued moch. But vnto whom lesse is forgeuen, the same loueth the lesse.
7:48 And he sayde vnto her thy synnes are forgeven the. And he sayde vnto her/ thy synnes are forgeven ye. And he sayde vnto her/ thy synnes are forgeuen the. And he sayde vnto her: Thy synnes are forgeuen the.
7:49 And they that sate at meate wyth hym/ began to saye with in them selves: Who is this whych forgeveth synnes also? And they yt sate at meate with him/ beganne to saye within them selves: Who is this which forgeveth synnes also? And they that sate at meate with him/ beganne to saye with in them selues: Who is this which forgeueth synnes also? Then they that sat at the table with him, beganne to saye within them selues: What is he this, that forgeueth synnes also?
7:50 And he sayde to the woman: Thy fayth hath saved the/ Goo in peace. And he sayde to ye woman: Thy faith hath saved the/ Goo in peace. And he sayde to the woman: Thy fayth hath saued the: Go in peace. But he sayde vnto the woman: Thy faith hath saued the, Go thy waye in peace.
