14:1 HYm that is weake ī the faith/ receave vnto you/ nott in disputynge and troublynge hys conscience. HIm that is weake in the fayth/ receave vnto you/ not in disputynge & troublynge his conscience. HIm that is weake in the fayth/ receaue vnto you/ not in disputynge and troublynge his conscience. HIm that is weake in the faith, receaue vnto you, and trouble not the consciences.
14:2 One beleveth that he maye eate all thynge. Another whych ys weake eateth earbes. One beleveth that he maye eate all thinge. Another which is weake/ eateth earbes. One beleueth that he maye eate all thinge. Another which is weake/ eateth earbes. One beleueth that he maye eate all thinge: but he that is weake, eateth herbes.
14:3 let nott hym thatt eateth/ despyse hym thatt eateth nott. And lett nott hym whych eateth nott iudge hym thatt eateth. For God hath receaved hym. Let not him that eateth/ despise him that eateth not. And let not him whiche eateth not/ iudge him that eateth. For God hath receaved him. Let not him that eateth/ despise him that eateth not. And let not him whiche eateth not/ iudge him that eateth. For God hath receaued him. Let not him that eateth, despyse him that eateth not: and let not him which eateth not, iudge him that eateth: for God hath receaued him.
14:4 What arte thou that iudgest another mannes servaunt? Whether he stonde or faule/ thatt pertayneth vnto hys master. Yee/ he shall stonde. For God is able to make hym stonde. What arte thou that iudgest another mānes servaūt? Whether he stonde or faule that pertayneth vnto his master: ye/ he shall stonde. For God is able to make him stonde. What arte thou that iudgest a nother mannes seruaunt? Whether he stonde or faule/ that pertayneth vnto his master: ye he/ shall stonde. For God is able to make him stonde. Who art thou, that iudgest another mans seruaūt? He stondeth or falleth vnto his LORDE: Yee he maye well stōde, for God is able to make hī stōde.
14:5 Thys man putteth difference bitwene daye and daye: another man counteth all dayes alyke. Se thatt no man waver in hys awne mynde. This man putteth difference bitwene daye and daye. Another man counteth all dayes alyke. Se that no man waver in his awne meanynge. This man putteth difference bitwene daye and daye. Another man counteth all dayes alyke. Se that no man wauer in his awne meanynge. Some man putteth differēce betwene daye & daye, but another man counteth all dayes alyke. Let euery man be sure of his meanynge.
14:6 He that observeth one daye more then another/ doth ytt for the lordes pleasure. And he that observeth not one daye more then another/ doeth it to plase the lorde also. He that eateth doth it to plase the lorde/ for he geveth god thankſ. and he that eateth not/ eateth not to please the lorde with all/ and geveth god thankſ. He that observeth one daye more then another/ doth it for ye lordes pleasure. And he that observeth not one daye moare then another/ doeth it to please ye lorde also. He that eateth/ doth it to please the lorde/ for he geveth god thankes. And he yt eateth not/ eateth not to please ye lorde wt all/ & geveth god thankſ. He that obserueth one daye more then another/ doth it for the lordes pleasure. And he that obserueth not one daye moare then another/ doeth it to please the lorde also. He that eateth/ doth it to please the lorde/ for he geueth God thankes. And he that eateth not eateth not/ to please the Lorde with all/ and geueth God thankes. He that putteth difference in the daye, doth it vnto the LORDE: & he that putteth no differēce in the daye, doth it vnto ye LORDE also. He yt eateth, eateth vnto the LORDE, for he geueth God thākes: and he that eateth not, eateth not vnto ye LORDE, and geueth God thankes.
14:7 For none of vs liveth his awne servaūt. ād also none of vs dyeth his awne servaūt. For none of vs lyveth his awne servaūt: nether doeth anye of vs dye his awne servaunt. For none of vs lyueth his awne seruaunt: nether doeth anye of vs dye his awne seruaunt. For none of vs lyueth to him selfe, and none dyeth to him selfe.
14:8 Yf we live/ we live to be at the lordes will. yf we dye/ we dye at the lordes will. Whether we live therfor or dye/ we are the lordes. Yf we lyve/ we lyve to be at ye lordſ will. And yf we dye/ we dye at ye lordes will. Whether we lyve therfore or dye/ we are the lordes. Yf we lyue/ we Iyue to be at the Lordes will. And yf we dye we dye at the Lordes will. Whether we lyue therfore or dye/ we are the Lordes Yf we lyue, we lyue vnto the LORDE: Yf we dye, we dye vnto the LORDE. Therfore, whether we lyue or dye, we are the LORDES.
14:9 For Christ therfore dyed and rose agayne/ ād revived/ that he shulde be lorde both of deed and quicke. For Christ therfore dyed & rose agayne/ & revived/ that he myght be lorde both of deed & quicke. For Christ therfore dyed and rose agayne/ and reuiued that he myght be lorde both of deed and quicke. For therto dyed Christ, and rose agayne, and reuyued, that he mighte be LORDE both of deed and quycke.
14:10 But why doest thou then iudge thy brother? other why doest thou despyse thy hrother? We shall all be brought before the iudgement seate of Christ. But why doest thou then iudge thy brother? Other why doest thou despyse thy brother? We shall all be brought before the iudgement seate of Christ. But why doest thou then iudge thy brother? Other why doest thou despyse thy brother? We shall all be brought before the iudgement seate of Christ. But why iudgest thou yi brother? Or thou other, why despysest thou yi brother? We shal all be broughte before ye iudgmēt seate of Christ.
14:11 For it is written: As truely as I live sayth the lorde/ all knees shall bowe to me/ and all tonges shall geve knowledge to god. For it is written: as truely as I lyve sayth ye lorde/ all knees shall bowe to me/ and all tonges shall geve a knowledge to God. For it is written: as truely as I lyue sayth the Lorde/ all knees shall bowe to me/ and all tonges shall geue a knowledge to God. For it is wryttē: As truly as I lyue, (sayeth the LORDE) all knees shal bowe vnto me, & all tūges shal knowlege vnto God.
14:12 Soo shall every one off vs geve a comptes off hym silfe to God. So shall every one of vs geve accomptes of him selfe to God. So shall euery one of vs geue accomptes of him selfe to God. Thus shal euery one of vs geue acomptes for himselfe vnto God.
14:13 lett vs nott therfore/ iudge one another eny more. Butt iudge this rather/ thatt no man putt a stomblinge blocke/ or an occasion to faule in his brothers waye. Let vs not therfore iudge one another eny more. But iudge this rather/ that no man put a stomblynge blocke or an occasion to faule in his brothers waye. Let vs not therfore iudge one another eny more. But iudge this rather/ that no man put a stomblynge blocke or an occasion to faule in his brothers waye. Let vs not therfore iudge one another eny more. But iudge this rather, yt nomā put a stomblinge blocke or an occasion to fall in his brothers waye.
14:14 For I knowe/ and surly beleve in the lorde Iesus/ that there is nothynge commen off hit silfe: but vnto hym that iudgeth it to be commen/ to hym it is commen. For I knowe and am full certified in the Lorde Iesus/ that ther is nothinge comen of it selfe: but vnto him that iudgeth it to be comen: to him is it comen. For I knowe and am full certified in the Lorde Iesus that ther is nothinge comen of it selfe: but vnto him that iudgeth it to be comen: to him it is comen. I knowe, & am full certified in ye LORDE Iesu, yt there is nothinge cōmen of it selfe: but vnto him yt iudgeth it to be cōmen, to him is it cōmen.
14:15 Yf thy brother be greved with thy meate/ now walkest thou not charitablye. Destroye not hym with thy meate/ for whom Christ dyed. If thy brother be greved with thy meate/ now walkest thou not charitablye. Destroye not him with thy meate/ for whom Christ dyed. Yf thy brother be greued with thy meate/ now walkest thou not charitablye. Destroye not him with thy meate/ for whom Christ dyed. But yf yi brother be greued ouer yi meate, thē walkest thou not now after charite. Destroye not wt thy meate, him, for whom Christ dyed,
14:16 Suffer ye not that youre treasure be evyll spoken of. Cause not youre treasure to be evyll spoken of. Cause not youre treasure to be euyll spoken of. Se therfore that youre treasure be not euell spokē of.
14:17 For the kyngdom off god is not meate and drynke/ but rightewesnes/ peace and ioye/ in the holy goost. For the kyngdome of God is not meate and drinke: but rightewesnes/ peace and ioye in the holy goost. For the kyngdome of God is not meate and drinke: but ryghtewesnes/ peace and ioye in the holy goost. For the kyngdome of God is not meate and drynke, but righteousnes, & peace, and ioye in the holy goost.
14:18 For whosoever in these thynges serveth Christ/ pleaseth well god: and is cōmended of men. For whosoever in these thinges serveth Christ/ pleaseth well God/ and is commended of men. For whosoeuer in these thinges serveth Christ/ pleaseth well God/ and is commended of men. He that in these thinges serueth Christ, pleaseth God, & is cōmended of mē.
14:19 Let vs folowe tho thīgſ which make for peace: and thyngſ wherwith one maye edyfye another. Let vs folowe tho thinges which make for peace/ & thinges wherwith one maye edyfie another. Let vs folowe tho thinges which make for peace/ and thinges wherwith one maye edyfie another. Let vs therfore folowe those thinges which make for peace, & thinges wherwith one maye edifye another.
14:20 Destroye not the worke off God for a lytell meates sake. All thyngſ are pure: butt it is evyll for that man/ which eateth with hurte off his concience. Destroye not ye worke of god for a lytell meates sake. All thinges are pure: but it is evyll for that man/ which eateth with hurte of his conscience. Destroye not the worke of God for a lytell meates sake. All thinges are pure: but it is euyll for that man/ which eateth with hurte of his conscience. Destroye not ye worke of God for eny meates sake. All thinges truly are cleane, but it is euell for yt mā, which eateth wt hurte of his cōscience
14:21 Hit is good nether to eate flesshe/ nether to drynke wyne/ nether eny thynge/ wherby thy brother stombleth/ other falleth/ or is made weake. It is good nether to eate flesshe/ nether to drincke wyne/ nether eny thinge/ wherby thy brother stombleth/ ether falleth/ or is made weake. It is good nether to eate flesshe/ nether to drincke wyne/ nether eny thinge/ wherby thy brother stombleth/ ether falleth/ or is made weake. It is moch better yt thou eate no flesh, and drynke no wyne, nor eny thinge, wherby thy brother stombleth, or falleth, or is made weake.
14:22 Hast thou fayth? have it with thy silfe before god. Happy is he that condempneth not hym silfe in that thynge which he aloweth. Hast thou fayth? have it with thy selfe before god. Happy is he yt condempneth not him selfe in that thinge which he aloweth. Hast thou fayth? have it with thy selfe before God. Happy is he that condēpneth not him selfe in that thinge which he aloweth. Hast thou faith, haue it with yi selfe before God Happye is he, that cōdemneth not him selfe in yt thinge which he aloweth.
14:23 For he that maketh conscience/ ys dampned if he eate: Because he doth it not off fayth. For whatsoever is not of fayth/ that same is synne. For he yt maketh conscience/ is dampned yf he eate: because he doth it not of fayth. For whatsoever is not of fayth/ that same is synne. For he that maketh consciēce/ is dampned yf he eate: because he doth it not of fayth. For whatsoeuer is not of fayth/ that same is synne. But he that maketh conscience of it and yet eateth, is dampned: because he doth it not of faith. For what so euer is not of faith, that same is synne.

13:1 LEt every soule submitt hym sylfe vnto the auctoritie off the hyer powers. There is no power but of God. The powers that be/ are ordeyned off God. LEt every soule submit him selfe vnto the auctorite of ye hyer powers. For there is no power but of God. LEt euery soule submyt him selfe vnto the auctorite of the hyer powers. For there is no power but of God. LEt euery soule submytte him selfe to the auctorite off the hyer powers. For there is no power but of God.
13:2 Whosoever therfore resysteth power/ resisteth the ordinaunce off God. They that resist/ shall receave to them silfe damnacion. The powers that be/ are ordeyned of God. Whosoever therfore resysteth power/ resisteth the ordinaunce of God. And they that resist/ shall receave to thē selfe damnaciō. The powers that be/ are ordeyned of God. Who soeuer therfore resisteth power/ resisteth the ordinaunce of God. And they that resist/ shall receaue to them selfe damnacion. The powers that be, are ordeyned of God: so that who so euer resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinaunce of God. And they that resiste, shal receaue to them selues dānacion.
13:3 For ruelars are nott to be feared for good workſ but for evyll. Wilt thou be with out feare of the power? Do wele then: and so shalt thou be praysed off the same. For rulars are not to be feared for good workes/ but for evyll Wilt thou be with out feare of the power? Do well then: and so shalt thou be praysed of the same. For rulers are not to be feared for good workes/ but for euyll. Wilt thou be with out feare of the power? Do well then: & so shalt thou be praysed of the same. For rulers are not to be feared for good workes, but for euell. Yf thou wilt be without feare off the power, do well then, and thou shalt haue prayse of the same:
13:4 For he is the minister of god/ for thy welth. Butt and yff thou do evyll/ then feare. for he beareth not a swearde for nought. for he is the minister off god/ to take vengeaunce on them that do evyll. For he is the minister of God/ for thy welth. But & yf thou do evyll/ then feare: for he beareth not a swearde for nought: but is the minister of God/ to take vengeaunce on them that do evyll. For he is the minister of God/ for thy welth. But & yf thou do euyll/ then feare: for he beareth not a swearde for nought: but is the minister of God/ to take vengeaunce on them that do euyll. for he is the minister off God for thy wealth. But yff thou do euell, then feare, for he beareth not the swerde for naughte. For he is the mynister of God, a taker of vengeaunce, to punyshe him that doth euell.
13:5 Wherfore ye must nedes obey/ nott for feare off vengeaunce only: but also be cause of cōscience. Wherfore ye must nedes obeye/ not for feare of vengeaunce only: but also because of conscience. Wherfore ye must nedes obeye/ not for feare of vengeaunce only: but also because of conscience. Wherfore ye must nedes obeye, not onely for punyshmēt, but also because of conscience.
13:6 Even for this cause paye ye tribute. For they are goddes ministers/ servynge for the same purpose. And even for this cause paye ye tribute. For they are goddſ ministers/ servynge for the same purpose. And euē for this cause paye ye tribute. For they are Goddes ministers/ seruinge for the same purpose. For this cause must ye geue trybute also. For they are Gods mynisters, which māteyne ye same defence.
13:7 Geve to every man therfore his duetie: Tribute to whom tribute belongeth: Custom to whō custom is due: feare to whom feare belongeth: honoure to whō honoure pertayneth. Geve to every man therfore his duetie: Tribute to whom tribute belongeth: Custome to whom custome is due: feare to whom feare belongeth: Honoure to whō honoure pertayneth Geue to euery man therfore his duetie: Tribute to whom tribute belongeth: Custome to whom custome is due: feare to whom feare belongeth: honoure to whō honoure pertayneth. Geue to euery man therfore his dutye: tribute, to whom tribute belongeth: custome, to whom custome is due: feare, to whom feare belongeth: honoure, to whom honoure pertayneth.
13:8 Owe no thinge to eny man: but to lowe one another. For he that loveth anotber/ fulfilleth the lawe. Owe nothinge to eny man: but to love one another. For he that loveth another/ fulfylleth the lawe. Owe nothinge to eny man: but to loue one another. For he that loueth another/ fulfilleth the lawe. For these commaundementes: Owe nothinge to eny man, but to loue one another. For he that loueth another, hath fulfylled the lawe.
13:9 For these cōmaundementſ: Thou shalt not committ advoutry: Thou shalt nott kill: Thou shalt nott steale: Thou shalt not beare falce witnes: Thou shalt nott desyre: and so forth yf there be eny other commaundement/ are all comprehended in this sayinge: Love thyne neghbour as thy silfe. For these commaundementes: Thou shalt not cōmit advoutry: Thou shalt not kyll: Thou shalt not steale: Thou shalt not beare false witnes: Thou shalt not desyre and so forth (yf there be eny other cōmaundement) they are all comprehended in this sayinge: Love thyne neghbour as thy selfe. Thou shalt not cōmit aduoutry: Thou shalt not kyll: Thou shalt not steale: Thou shalt not beare false witnes: Thou shalt not desyre and so forth (yf there be eny other cōmaundement) they are all comprehended in this sayinge: Loue thyne neighbour as thy selfe. For where it is sayde: (Thou shalt not breake wedlocke: thou shalt not kyll: thou shalt not steale: thou shalt not beare false witnesse: thou shalt not lust) and yf there be eny other commaundement, it is comprehēded in this worde: Thou shalt loue thy neghboure as thy selfe.
13:10 Love hurteth nott his neghbour: therfore is love the fulfillynge off the lawe. Love hurteth not his neghbour. Therfore is love the fulfillynge of the lawe. Loue hurteth not his neigbour. Therfore is loue the fulfillinge of the lawe. Loue doth his neghboure no euell. Therfore is loue ye fulfillynge of the lawe.
13:11 This also we knowe/ I meā the season/ howe that it is tyme that we shulde nowe awake oute off slepe. For nowe is oure helth nerre thē when we beleved. This also we knowe/ I mean the season/ howe that it is tyme that we shuld now awake oute of slepe. For now is oure salvacion nearer then when we beleved. This also we knowe/ I meane the season/ howe that it is tyme that we shuld now awake oute of slepe. For now is oure saluacion nearer then when we beleued. And for so moch as we know this, namely the tyme that the houre is now for vs to ryse from slepe (For now is oure saluacion nearer, then whan we beleued:
13:12 The nyght is passed and the daye is come nye. Lett vs therfore cast awaye the dedes off darcknes/ and lett vs put on the armour off light. The nyght is passed & the daye is come nye. Let vs therfore cast awaye the dedes of darcknes/ & let vs put on the (Armoure) of lyght. The nyght is passed and the daye is come nye. Let vs therfore cast awaye the dedes of darcknes/ and let vs put on the (Armoure) of lyght. the nighte is past, but the daye is come nye.) Let vs therfore cast awaye ye workes of darknesse, and put on the armoure of lighte.
13:13 lett vs walke honestly as it were in the daye light: nott in eatynge and drynkynge: nether in chamburynge ād wantannes: nether in stryfe ād envyinge: Let vs walke honestly as it were in the daye lyght: not in eatynge and drinkynge: nether in chamburynge and wantannes: nether in stryfe & envyinge: Let vs walke honestly as it were in the daye lyght: not in eatynge and drinkynge: nether in chamburynge and wantānes/ nether in stryfe & enuyinge: Let vs walke honestly as in the daye, not in excesse off eatinge aud in dronkennesse, not in chamburynge and wantonnesse, not in stryfe and enuyenge:
13:14 but put ye on the lorde Iesus Christ. And make not provision for the flesshe/ to fulfill the lustes off hit. but put ye on the Lorde Iesus Christ. And make not provision for the flesshe/ to fulfyll ye lustes of it. but put ye on the Lorde Iesus Christ. And make not prouision for the flesshe/ to fulfyll the lustes of it. but put ye on the LORDE Iesus Christ, and make not prouysion for ye flesh, to fulfill the lustes of it.

12:1 I Beseche you therfore brethrē by the mercifulnes of God/ that ye make youre bodyes a quicke sacrifise/ holy and exceptable vnto God which is youre resonable servynge off god. I Beseche you therfore brethrē/ by ye mercyfulnes of God/ that ye make youre bodyes aquicke sacrifise holy & acceptable vnto God which is youre resonable seruynge of god. I Beseche you therfore brethren/ by the mercyfulnes of God/ that ye make youre bodyes a quicke sacrifice/ holy & acceptable vnto God: which is youre resonable seruing of God I Beseke you brethrē by the mercyfulnesse of God, that ye geue ouer youre bodies for a sacrifice, yt is quycke holy, and acceptable vnto God, which is yor reasonable seruynge off God.
12:2 and fassion nott youre selves lyke vnto this worlde: But be ye chaunged in youre shape/ by the renuynge of youre wittes/ that ye maye fele what thynge that good/ that acceptable/ and perfaicte will of god is. And fassion not youre selves lyke vnto this worlde: But be ye chaunged in youre shape/ by the renuynge of youre wittes that ye maye fele what thynge that good/ yt acceptable/ and perfaycte will of god is. & fassion not your selues lyke vnto this worlde: but be ye chaunged in youre shape/ by the renuynge of youre wittes that ye maye fele what thinge that good/ that acceptable/ & perfaycte will of God is. And fashion not youre selues like vnto this worlde, but be chaunged thorow the renewynge off yor mynde, yt ye maye proue, what thinge that good, yt acceptable, & perfecte wil of God is.
12:3 For I saye (thorowe the grace that vnto me geven is) to every man amonge you/ that no man esteme off hym hlfe more then it becōmeth hym to esteme: But that he discretely iudge off hym silfe accordynge as god hath dealte to every man the measur of faith. For I saye (thorowe the grace that vnto me gevē is) to every man amonge you that noman esteme of him selfe moare then it becometh him to esteme: but that he discretely iudge of him selfe/ accordynge as God hath dealte to every man the measure of fayth. For I saye (thorowe the grace that vnto me geuē is) to euery man amōge you/ that noman esteme of him selfe moare then it becometh him to esteme: but that he discretely iudge of him selfe/ accordinge as God hath dealte to euery man the measure of fayth. For I saye thorow the grace yt is geuē me, vnto euery man amonge you: that no man esteme off him selfe more, then it becōmeth him to esteme: but that he discretly iudge of him selfe, acordinge as God hath dealte vnto euery man the measure of faith.
12:4 As we have many members in one body: and all members have not one office: As we have many members in one body/ & all members have not one office: As we haue many members in one body/ & all members haue not one office: For like as we haue many membres in one body, but all the membres haue not one maner of operacion:
12:5 So we beynge many are one body in Christ: and every mā (amōge oure selves) one anothers members. so we beynge many are one body in Christ and every man (amōge oure selves) one anothers mēbers so we beynge many/ are one body in Christ/ and euery man amōge oure selues/ one anothers members. Euen so we beynge many are one body in Christ. But amonge oure selues euery one is the membre of another,
12:6 Seynge that we have divers gyftes accordynge to the grace that is geven vnto vs/ yf eny man have the gyft off prophesy/ lett hym have it that itt be agreynge vnto the fayth. Seynge that we have dyvers gyftes accordynge to the grace that is geven vnto vs: yf eny man have ye gyft of prophesye/ let him have it that it be agreynge vnto the fayth. Seynge that we haue diuers gyftes accordinge to the grace that is geuen vnto vs: yf eny man haue the gyft of prophesye/ let him haue it that it be agreynge vnto the fayth. and haue dyuers giftes, acordinge to the grace that is geuen vnto vs Yf eny man haue the gifte of prophecienge, let it be acordinge to the faith.
12:7 Let hym that hath an office/ wayte on his office. Let hym that teacheth take hede to his doctryne. Let him that hath an office/ wayte on his office. 11:1 I Saye then: hath God cast awaye his people? God forbid. For even I verely am an Israhelite of the seed of Abraham/ and off the tribe of beniamin. I Saye then: hath god cast awaye his people? God forbyd. For even I verely am an Israelite/ of the seed of Abrahā/ and of ye tribe of Beniamin/ I Saye then: hath god cast awaye his people? God forbyd. For euen I verely am an Israelite/ of the seed of Abraham/ & of the tribe of Beniamin/ I Saye then: Hath God thrust out his people? God forbyd: for I also am an Israelite, of the sede of Abraham out of the trybe of Ben Iamin.
11:2 God hath not cast awaye his people which he knew before. Other wote ye not what the scripture sayth by the mouth off Helias/ howe he spake to god agaynst Israhel/ sayinge: god hath not cast awaye his people which he knew before. Ether wote ye not what the scripture sayth by the mouth of Helias/ how he maketh intercession to god agaynst Israel/ sayinge: God hath not cast awaye his people which he knewe before. Ether wote ye not what the scripture sayth by the mouth of Helias/ how he maketh intercession to God agaynst Israel/ sayinge? God hath not thrust out his people, whom he knewe before. Or wote ye not what the scripture sayeth of Elias, how he maketh intercession vnto God agaynst Israel, and sayeth:
11:3 Lorde they have killed thy prophettſ and digged doune thyn alters: ād I am lefte only/ ād they seke my deeth. Lorde they have kylled thy prophetes & dygged doune thyn alters: & I am lefte only/ & they seke my lyfe. Lorde they haue kylled thy prophetes/ and dygged doune thyne alters: & I am lefte only/ & they seke my life. LORDE, they haue slayne thy prophetes, & dydged downe thine altares, and I am lefte ouer onely, and they seke my life?
11:4 Butt what sayth the answer off God to hym agayne? I have reserved vnto me seven thousande men whych have nott bowed their knees to baal. But what sayth the answer of god to him agayne? I have reserved vnto me seven thousande men which have not bowed the knee to Baal. But what sayth the answer of God to him agayne? I haue reserued vnto me seuen thousande men which haue not bowed the knee to Baal. But what sayeth the answere of God vnto him? I haue reserued vnto me seuen thousande men, which haue not bowed their knee before Baal.
11:5 Even so at this tyme ys there a remnaūt lefte thorow the eleccion of grace. Even so at this tyme ys ther a remnanaunt lefte thorow the eleccion of grace. Euen so at this tyme is ther a remnaūt lefte thorow the eleccion of grace. Euē so goeth it now at this tyme also wt this remnaunt after ye eleccion of grace.
11:6 Yff hit be of grace then is it not by the deservynge of workes. For then were faveour no faveour. Yff it be by deservynge of workſ/ thē is there no faveour. For then were deserving no deservynge. Yf it be of grace/ thē is it not of workes. For then were grace no moare grace. Yf it be of workes/ then is it no moare grace. For then were deservyng no lenger deservynge. Yf it be of grace/ then is it not of workes. For then were grace no moare grace. Yf it be of workes/ then is it no moare grace. For then were deseruinge no lenger deseruinge. Yf it be done of grace, thē is it not of deseruynge: els were grace no grace. But yf it be of deseruynge, then is grace nothinge: els were deseruynge no deseruynge.
11:7 What then? Israhel hath not obtayned that that he sought. No but yet the elecciō hath obtayned hit. the remnaunt are blynded. What then? Israel hath not obtayned that/ that he sought. No but yet the election hath obtayned it. The remnaunt are blynded/ What then? Israel hath not obtayned that that he sought. No but yet the eleccion hath obtayned it. The remnaūt are blinded/ What thē? Israel hath not optayned yt which he soughte, but the eleccion hath optayned it. As for ye other, they are blynded.
11:8 accordynge as it is written: God hath geven them the spre off vnquyetnes: eyes thatt they shulde nott se/ and eares that they shulde nott heare/ even vnto this daye. accordynge as it is written: God hath geven thē the sprete of vnquyetnes: eyes that they shuld not se/ & eares that they shuld not heare even vnto this daye. accordinge as it is written: God hath geuen them the sprete of vnquyetnes: eyes that they shuld not se & eares that they shulde not heare/ euen vnto this daye. As it is wrytten: God hath geuen them the sprete of vnquyetnesse, eyes that they shulde not se, and eares that they shulde not heare, euē vnto this daye.
11:9 And David sayth: Lett their table be made a snare to take them with all/ ād an occasion to faule/ and a rewarde vnto them. And David sayth: Let their table be made a snare to take them with all/ and an occasion to faule/ and a rewarde vnto them. And Dauid sayth: Let their table be made a snare to take them with all/ and an occasion to faule/ and a rewarde vnto thē. And Dauid sayeth: Let their table be made a snare to take thē with all, & an occasion to fall, & a rewarde vnto thē.
11:10 Lett their eyes be blynded that they se nott: and ever bowe doune their backes. Let their eyes be blynded that they se not: & ever bowe doune their backes. Let their eyes be blinded that they se not: and euer bowe doune their backes. Let their eyes be blynded that they se not, and euer bowe downe their backes.
11:11 I saye thē: Have they therfore stombled that they shulde but faule ōly? God forbyd: but thorowe their faule is helth happened vnto the gentyls forto provoke thē with all. I saye then: Have they therfore stombled that they shulde but faule only? God forbyd: but thorowe their faule is salvaciō happened vnto the gentyls/ for to provoke thē with all. I saye then: Haue they therfore stombled/ that they shulde but faule only? God forbyd: but thorowe their faule is saluacion happened vnto the gentyls/ for to prouoke thē with all. I saye then: Haue they therfore stombled, yt they shulde cleane fall to naughte? God forbyd: but thorow their fall is saluacion happened vnto ye Heythen, that he mighte prouoke them to be zelous after them.
11:12 Wherfore yf the faule of thē/ be the riches of the worlde: and the mynnysshynge of them the riches of the gentyls: Howe moche more shulde it be soo yf they all beleved. Wherfore yf the faule of them/ be the ryches of the worlde: and the mynysshynge of them the ryches of the gentyls: How moche more shuld it be so/ yf they all beleved. Wherfore yf the faule of them/ be the ryches of the worlde: and the mynysshinge of them the riches of the gentyls: How moche moare shulde it be so/ yf they all beleued. For yf their fall be the riches of the worlde, and the mynishinge of thē the riches of the Heythen: how moch more shulde it be so, yf their fulnesse were there?
11:13 I speake to you gentyls/ in as moche as I am the apostle off the gentyls I will magnify myn office I speake to you gentyls/ in as moche as I am the Apostle of ye gentyls I will magnify myn office/ I speake to you gentyls/ in as moche as I am the Apostle of the gētyls/ I will magnify myn office/ I speake vnto you Heythen: for in as moch as I am ye Apostle of the Heythen, I wil prayse myne office,
11:14 that I myght provoke thē which are my flesshe: ād myght save some of thē. that I myght provoke them which are my flesshe/ and myght save some of them. that I myght prouoke them which are my flesshe/ and myght saue some of thē. yf I mighte prouoke them vnto zele, which are my fleshe, and saue some of them.
11:15 For if the castynge awaye of thē/ be the reconcilynge of the worlde: what shall the receavynge of them be/ but lyfe agayne frō deeth? For yf the castynge awaye of them/ be the reconcylynge of the worlde: what shall the receavynge of them be/ but lyfe agayne from deeth? For yf the castinge awaye of them/ be the reconcylynge of the worlde: what shall the receauynge of them be/ but lyfe agayne from deeth? For yf the losse of them by the recōcylinge of the worlde, what were that els, then as yf life were taken of the deed?
11:16 For yf one pece be holy/ the whole heepe is holy. And if the rote be holy/ the braunches are holy also. For yf one pece be holy/ the whole heepe is holy. And yf the rote be holy/ the braunches are holy also. For yf one pece be holy the whole heepe is holy. And yf the rote be holy/ the braunches are holy also. Yf the begynnynge be holy, then is all ye dowe holy: and yf the rote be holy, then are the braunches holy also.
11:17 Though some of the braunches be broken of/ and thou beynge a wylde olive tree arte graft in amonge them/ and made part taker of the rote/ and fatnes off the olive tree/ Though some of the brauuches be broken of/ and thou beynge a wylde olyue tree/ arte graft in amonge them/ & made parttaker of ye rote and fatnes of the olyve tree/ Though some of the braunches be broken of/ and thou beynge a wylde oliue tree/ arte graft in amonge them/ & made parttaker of the rote and fatnes of the olyue tree/ But though some of ye braunches now be brokē, and thou, whā thou wast a wylde olyue tre, art grafte in amonge them, and made partaker of the rote and sappe of the olyue tre,
11:18 bost not thy sylfe agaynst the braunches. For yf thou bost thy sylfe/ remember that thou bearest not the rote/ but the rote the. bost not thy selfe agaynst the braūches. For yf thou bost thy selfe/ remember that thou bearest not the rote/ but the rote the. bost not thy selfe agaynst the braunches. For yf thou bost thy selfe/ remember that thou bearest not the rote/ but the rote the. boost not thy selfe agaynst the braunches. Yf thou boost thy selfe agaynst them, then bearest not thou the rote, but the rote beareth the.
11:19 Thou wilt saye then: the braunches are broken off/ thatt I myght be grafte in. Thou wilt saye then: the braūches are broken of/ that I myght be grafte in. Thou wilt saye then: the braūches are broken of/ that I myght be grafte in. Thou wilt saye then: the braunches are brokē of, that I mighte be grafted in.
11:20 Thou sayest wele: be cause of vnbeleve they are broken of/ and thou stondest stedfast in faythe. Be not hye mynded/ but feare: Thou sayest well: because of vnbeleve they are broken of/ and thou stondest stedfast in fayth. Be not hye mynded/ but feare Thou sayest well: because of vnbeleue they are broken of/ and thou stondest stedfast in fayth. Be not hye mynded/ but feare Thou sayest well. They are broken of because off their vnbeleue, but thou stondest thorow beleue Be not thou hye mynded, but feare,
11:21 seynge that god spared not the naturall braunches/ lest haply he also spare not the. seynge that God spared not the naturall braunches/ lest haply he also spare not the. seynge that God spared not the naturall braūches/ lest haply he also spare not the. seynge God hath not spared the naturall braunches, lest he also spare not the.
11:22 Beholde the kyndnes ād rigorousnes of god: on them which fell/ rigorousnes: butt towardes the kyndnes/ yf thou continue in his kyndnes. or els thou shalt be hewen of/ Beholde ye kyndnes & rigorousnes of God: on thē which fell/ rigorousnes: but towardes the/ kyndnes/ yf thou cōtinue in his kyndnes. Or els thou shalt be hewen of/ Beholde the kindnes & rigorousnes of God: on thē which fell/ rigorousnes: but towardes the/ kyndnes/ yf thou cōtinue in his kyndnes. Or els thou shalt be hewen of/ Beholde therfore the kyndnesse and rigorousnes off God: on them which fell, rigorousnes: but towarde the, kyndnes, yf thou contynue in the kyndnesse. Els shalt thou be hewē of:
11:23 and they yf they byde nott still in vnbeleve shalbe graffed in agayne. For God is of power to grafte them in agayne. & they yf they byde not still in vnbelefe/ shalbe graffed in agayne. For God is of power to graffe them in agayne. & they yf they byde not still in vnbelefe/ shalbe graffed in agayne. For God is of power to graffe them in agayne. and they, yf they byde not styll in vnbeleue, shal be grafted in agayne. For God is of power to grafte thē in agayne.
11:24 For yf thou wast cut out of a naturall wilde olive tree/ and wast graffed contrary to nature in a true olyve tree: howe moche more shall the naturall braunches be graffed in their awne olyve tree agayne. For yf thou wast cut out of a naturall wilde olyve tree/ and wast graffed contrary to nature in a true olyve tree: how moche more shall the naturall braūches be graffed in their awne olyve tree agayne. For yf thou wast cut out of a naturall wilde olyue tree/ and wast graffed contrary to nature in a true olyue tree: how moche more shall the naturall braunches be graffed in their awne olyue tree agayne. For yf thou be cut out of the naturall wilde olyue tre, and grafted (contrary to nature) in the good olyue tre, how moch more shal they that are naturall, be grafted in their awne olyue tre agayne?
11:25 I wolde not that this secrete shulde be hid frō you my brethren (lest ye shulde be wyse in youre awne consaytes) that partly blyndnes ys happened in Israhell/ vntill the fulnes off the gentyls be come ī. I wolde not that this secrete shuld be hyd frō you my brethren (lest ye shuld be wyse in youre awne consaytes) that partly blyndnes is happened in Israel/ vntyll ye fulnes of the gentyls be come in: I wolde not that this secrete shulde be hyd from you my brethrē (lest ye shuld be wyse in youre awne consaytes) that partly blyndnes is happened in Israel/ vntill the fulnes of the gentyls be come in: I wolde not that this secrete shulde be hyd from you brethrē (lest ye shulde be wyse in youre awne cōsaytes) that partly blyndnesse is happened vnto Israel, so longe tyll the fulnesse of the Heythen be come in,
11:26 And so all Israhel shalbe saved. as it is written: There shall come oute of Syon he that doth deliver/ and shall turne awaye the vngodlynes of Iacob. & so all Israel shalbe saved. As it is writtē: There shall come oute of Sion he yt doth delyver/ & shall turne awaye the vngodlynes of Iacob. & so all Israel shalbe saued. As it is writtē: There shall come oute of Syō he that doth deliuer/ & shall turne awaye the vngodlynes of Iacob. and so all Israel shalbe saued. As it is wrytten: There shal come out of Sion he that doth delyuer, and shal turne awaye vngodlynes from Iacob.
11:27 And this is my testamēt vnto them/ when I shall take awaye their synnes. And this is my covenaunt vnto them/ when I shall take awaye their synnes. And this is my couenaunt vnto them/ when I shall take awaye their synnes. And this is my couenaūt with them, whā I shal take awaye their synnes.
11:28 As concernynge the gospell/ They are enenies for youre sakes: but as tochynge the elecciō/ they are loved for the fathers sakſ. As cōcernynge the gospell/ they are enemies for youre sakes: but as touchinge the election/ they are loved for ye fathers sakſ. As cōcerning the gospell they are enemyes for youre sakes: but as touchinge the election they are loued for the fathers sakes. As concernynge the Gospell, I holde them as enemies for youre sakes: but as touchinge the eleccion, I loue them for the fathers sakes.
11:29 For verely the gyftes and callynge of god are soche/ that it cannot repent hym of them. For verely the gyftes and callynge of god are soche/ that it cannot repent him of them: For verely the gyftes and callinge of God are soche/ that it cannot repent him of them: For verely the giftes & callynge of God are soch, that it can not repente him of them.
11:30 for loke/ as ye in tyme passed have not beleved God/ yet have nowe obtained mercy thorow their vnbelefe: for loke/ as ye in tyme passed have not beleved God/ yet have now obtayned mercy thorow their vnbelefe: for loke/ as ye in tyme passed haue not beleued God/ yet haue now obtayned mercy thorow their vnbelefe: For likewyse as ye also in tyme passed haue not beleued, but now haue optayned mercy thorow their vnbeleue:
11:31 even so nowe have they nott beleved the mercy which is happened vnto you/ That they also maye obtayne mercy. even so now have they not beleved the mercy which is happened vnto you/ that they also maye obtayne mercy. euen so now haue they not beleued the mercy which is happened vnto you/ that they also maye obtayne mercy. Euen so now haue they not beleued on the mercy which his happened vnto you, that they also maye optayne mercy.
11:32 God hath wrapped all naciōs ī vnbeleve/ that he myght have mercy on all. God hath wrapped all nacions in vnbeleve/ that he myght have mercie on all. God hath wrapped all nacions in vnbeleue/ that he myght haue mercye on all. For God hath closed vp all vnder vnbeleue, that he mighte haue mercy on all.
11:33 O the depnes off the aboundaunt wisdom ād knowledge of God: howe incomprehensible are his iudgementſ/ and hys wayes vnserchable. O the depnes of the aboundaunt wysdome and knowledge of God: how vnserchable are his iudgementes/ and his wayes past findyng out. O the depnes of the aboundaunt wysdome & knowledge of God: how vnsercheable are his iudgementes/ and his wayes past findinge out? O the depenesse of the riches, both of the wyssdome and knowlege of God? How incomprehensible are his iudgmentes, and his wayes vnsearcheable?
11:34 For who hath knowen the mynde off the lorde? or who was his counseller? For who hath knowen the mynde of the lorde? or who was his counseller? For who hath knowen the mynde of the Lorde? or who was his counseller? For who hath knowne the mynde of the LORDE? Or who hath bene his councell geuer?
11:35 other who hathe geven vnto hym fyrst/ that he myght be recompensed agayne? other who hath geven vnto him fyrst/ that he myght be recompensed agayne? other who hath geuen vnto him fyrst/ that he might be recompensed agayne? Or who hath geuē him ought afore hande, that he mighte be recompenced agayne?

10:1 BRethrē my hertis desyre/ ād prayer to god for Israel is that they myght be saved. BRethren/ my hertes desyre & prayer to God for Israel is that they might be saved. BRethren/ my hertes desyre & prayer to God for Israel/ is that they might be saued. BRethren, my hertes desyre, & prayer vnto God for Israel is, that they might be saued.
10:2 For I beare them recorde that they have a fervent mynde to god warde/ but not acordynge to knowledge. For I beare them recorde that they have a fervēt mynde to God warde/ but not accordinge to knowledge. For I beare them recorde that they haue a feruēt mynde to God warde/ but not accordinge to knowledge. For I beare them recorde, that they are zelous for Gods cause, but not wt vnderstondinge.
10:3 For they are ignoraūt of the rightewesnes which is alowed before god/ and goo about to stablisshe their awne rightewesnes and therfore are not obedient vnto the rightewesnes which is of value before god. For they are ignoraūt of the rightewesnes which is alowed before God/ and goo about to stablisshe their awne rightewesnes & therfore are not obedient vnto the rightewesnes which is of valew before God. For they are ignoraūt of the rightewesnes which is alowed before God/ and go about to stablisshe their awne rightewesnes/ & therfore are not obediēt vnto the rightewesnes which is of valew before God. For they knowe not the righteousnes which auayleth before God, and go aboute to manteyne their awne righteousnes: and thus they are not subdued vnto the righteousnes, that is off value before God.
10:4 For Christ is the ende of the lawe to iustifie all that beleve. For Christ is the ende of the lawe/ to iustifie all that beleve. For Christ is the ende of the lawe/ to iustifie all that beleue. For Christ is the ende of the lawe, vnto righteousnes for euery one yt beleueth.
10:5 Moses describeth the rightewesnes which commeth off the lawe/ howe that the man which doth the thyngſ of the lawe shall live therī. Moses describeth the rightewesnes which cometh of ye lawe/ howe that the man which doth the thingſ of the lawe/ shall lyve therin. Moses describeth the rightewesnes which cometh of the lawe/ how that the man which doth the thinges of the lawe/ shall liue therin. Moses wryteth of ye righteousnes which commeth of the lawe, that the man which doth ye same, shal lyue therin.
10:6 But the rightewesnes which cōmeth off fayth/ speaketh on this wyse: Saye nott in thyne hert: who shall ascende into heven? (That is nothynge els then to fetch Christ doune). But ye rightewesnes which cometh of fayth/ speaketh on this wyse. Saye not in thyne hert who shall ascende into heven? (that is nothinge els then to fetch Christ doune) But the rightewesnes which cometh of fayth/ speaketh on this wyse. Saye not in thyne hert/ who shall ascende into heauen? (that is nothinge els then to fetch Christ doune) But ye righteousnes which cōmeth of faith, speaketh on this wyse: Saye not in thine hert: Who wil go vp in to heauē? (that is nothinge els then to fetch Christ downe)
10:7 Other who shall descende into the depe? That is nothynge els but to fetch vppe Christ from deeth. Other who shall descende into the depe? (that is nothinge els but to fetch vp Christ from deeth) Other who shall descende into the depe? (that is nothīge els but to fetch vp Christ frō deeth) Or who wyl go downe in to ye depe? (that is nothinge els thē to fetch vp Christ from the deed.)
10:8 Butt whatt sayth the scripture? The worde is nye the/ even in thy mougth and in thyn herth. This worde is the worde off fayth which we preache. But what sayth the scripture? The worde is nye the/ even in thy mouth and in thyn herte. This worde is the worde of fayth which we preache. But what sayth the scripture? The worde is nye the/ euē in thyne mouth & in thyne herte. This worde is the worde of fayth which we preache. But what sayeth the scripture? The worde is nye the, euen in thy mouth and in thine hert. This is ye worde of faith yt we preach.
10:9 For yf thou shalt knowledge whith thy mought that Iesus is the lorde/ ād shalt beleve with thyn hert that God raysed hym vppe from deeth/ thou shalt be safe. For yf thou shalt knowledge wt thy mouth that Iesus is the lorde/ and shalt beleve with thyn hert that God raysed him vp from deeth/ thou shalt be safe. For yf thou shalt knowledge with thy mouth that Iesus is the Lorde/ & shalt beleue with thyne hert that God raysed him vp from deeth thou shalt be safe. For yf thou knowlegest Iesus with thy mouth, that he is the LORDE, and beleuest in thine hert, that God hath raysed him vp from the deed, thou shalt be saued.
10:10 For the belefe off the hert iustifieth: and to knowledge with the mougth maketh a man safe. For the belefe of the hert iustifieth: and to knowledge with the mouth maketh a man safe. For the belefe of the hert iustifieth/ and to knowledge with the mouth maketh a man safe. For yf a man beleue from the hert, he shalbe made righteous: and yf a mā knowlege with the mouth, he shal be saued.
10:11 For the scripture sayth: whosoever beleveth on hym/ shall not be ashamed. For the scripture sayth: whosoever beleveth on him/ shall not be ashamed. For the scripture sayth: whosoeuer beleueth on him/ shall not be ashamed. For the scripture sayeth: Who so euer beleueth on him, shal not be confounded.
10:12 There is no difference bitwene the iewe and the gentyll. For won is lorde of all/ which is riche vnto all that call on hym. Ther is no difference bitwene the Iewe & the gentyll. For one is Lorde of all/ which is ryche vnto all that call on him. There is no difference bitwene the Iewe & the Gentyll. For one is Lorde of all/ which is ryche vnto all that call on him. Here is no difference, nether of the Iewe ner of the Gentyle. For one is LORDE of all, which is riche vnto all yt call vpō him.
10:13 For whosoever shall call on the name of the lorde shalbe safe. For whosoever shall call on the name of the lorde/ shalbe safe. For whosoeuer shall call on the name of the Lorde/ shalbe safe. For who so euer shal call vpon the name of the LORDE, shalbe saued.
10:14 Howe shall they call on hym/ on whō they beleved not? how shall they beleve on hym off whom they have nott herde? howe shall they heare with out a preacher? But how shall they call on him/ on whō they beleved not? how shall they beleve on him of whom they have not herde? how shall they heare with out a preacher? But how shall they call on him/ on whom they beleued not? how shall they beleue on him of whom they haue not herde? how shall they heare without a preacher? But how shal they call vpō him, on whō they beleue not? How shal they beleue on him, of whō they haue not herde? How shal they heare without a preacher?
10:15 And howe shall they preach except they be sent? As hit is written: howe beautifull are the fete of them which brynge glad tydyngſ of peace/ and brynge glad tydyngſ of good thyngſ. And how shall they preach except they be sent? As it is written: how beautifull are the fete of them which bringe glad tydynges of peace/ & bringe glad tydynges of good thinges. And how shall they preache except they be sent? As it is written: how beautifull are the fete of them which bringe glad tydynges of peace/ & bringe glad tydynges of good thinges. But how shal they preach, excepte they be sent? As it is wryttē: How beutyfull are the fete of thē yt preach peace, yt brynge good tidinges?
10:16 But they have nott all obeyed to the gospell. For Esayas sayth: Lorde wo shall beleve oure sayinges? But they have not all obeyed to ye gospell. For Esaias sayth: Lorde who shall beleve oure sayinges? But they haue not all obeyed to the gospell. For Esaias sayth: Lorde who shall beleue oure sayinges? But they are not all obedient vnto the Gospell. For Esaye sayeth: LORDE, who beleueth oure preachinge?
10:17 So then fayth commeth by hearynge/ and hearynge commeth by the worde of god. So then fayth cometh by hearynge/ and hearynge cometh by the worde of God. So then fayth cometh by hearinge/ and hearinge cometh by the worde of God. So thē faith cōmeth by hearynge, but hearinge cōmeth by the worde of God.
10:18 But I axe: have they nott herde? No dout/ their sounde went out into all londes: ād their wordes into the endes of the worlde. But I axe: have they not herde? No dout/ their sounde went out into all londes: & their wordes in to the endes of the worlde. But I axe: haue they not herde? No dout/ their sounde wēt out into all londes: and their wordes into the endes of the worlde. But I saye: Haue they not herde? No doute their sounde wēte out in to all londes, and their wordes in to the endes of the worlde.
10:19 But I demaunde whether Israhel did knowe or nott? Fyrst Moses sayth: I will provoke you forto envy by them that are no people/ and by a folisshe nacion I will anger you. But I demaunde whether Israel dyd knowe or not? Fyrst Moses sayth: I will provoke you for to envy by thē that are no people/ & by a folisshe nacion I will anger you. But I demaunde whether Israel dyd knowe or not? Fyrst Moses sayth: I will prouoke you for to enuy/ by them that are no people/ and by a folisshe nacion I will anger you. But I saye: Hath not Israel knowne? First, Moses sayeth: I wil prouoke you to enuye, by them that are not my people: & by a foolish nacion wyl I anger you.
10:20 Esayas after that is bolde and sayth. I am founde off them thatt sought me nott/ and have apered to thē that axed not after me. Esaias after that/ is bolde & sayth. I am founde of thē that sought me not/ & have appered to them that axed not after me. Esaias after that/ is bolde and sayth: I am founde of them that sought me not/ and haue appered to them that axed not after me. Esaye after him is bolde, aud sayeth: I am founde of them, that sought me not: & haue appeared vnto them, that axed not after me.
10:21 And against Israhel he sayth: All daye longe have I stretched forth my hondes vnto a people that beleveth not/ but speaketh agaynst me. And agaynst Israel he sayth: All daye longe have I stretched forth my hondſ vnto a people yt beleveth not/ but speaketh agaynst me. And agaynst Israel he sayth: All daye lōge haue I stretched forth my hondes vnto a people that beleueth not/ but speaketh agaynst me. But vnto Israel he sayeth: All the daye lōge haue I stretched forth my handes vnto a people yt beleueth not, but speaketh agaynst me.

9:1 I Saye the thrueth in Christ and lye nott/ in thatt wher of my concience beareth me witnes in the holy goost/ I Saye the trueth in Christ and lye not/ in that wherof my conscience beareth me witnes in the holy gost/ I Saye the trueth in Christ/ & lye not/ in that wherof my conscience beareth me witnes in the holy goost/ I Saye the trueth in Christ, and lye not (wherof my conscience beareth me witnesse in the holy goost)
9:2 that I bave grett hevynes/ and continuall sorowe in my hert. that I have gret hevynes and continuall sorowe in my hert. that I haue gret heuynes and continuall sorowe in my hert. that I haue greate heuynesse & contynuall sorowe in my hert.
9:3 For I have wysshed my silfe to be cursed from Christ for my brethrē/ which are my kynsmē as pertayninge to the flesshe. For I have wysshed my selfe to be cursed from Christ/ for my brethren and my kynsmen as pertayninge to the flesshe For I haue wysshed my selfe to be cursed from Christ/ for my brethren and my kynsmen as pertayninge to the flesshe/ I haue wysshed my selfe to be cursed from Christ for my brethren, that are my kynsmen after the flesh,
9:4 which are the israhelites/ to whō pertayneth the adopcion/ and the glory/ and the testamentſ/ and the ordinaunce off the lawe/ and the service of God/ and the promyses/ which are the Israelites. To whom pertayneth the adopcion/ & the glorie/ and the covenauntes/ and the law that was geven/ and the service of God/ and the promyses: which are the Israelites. To whom pertayneth the adopcion/ & the glorie/ and the couenauntes and the lawe that was geuen/ and the seruice of God/ and the promyses: which are off Israel: vnto whom pertayneth the childshippe, and the glory, and the couenauntes and lawe, and the seruyce of God, and the promyses:
9:5 whose also are the fathers/ and they of whome (as cōcernynge the flesshe) Christ cam: which is God over all thynges blessed for ever Amen. whose also are the fathers/ and they of whome (as concernynge the flesshe) Christ came/ which is God over all thinges blessed for ever Amen. whose also are the fathers/ and they of whome (as concerninge the flesshe) Christ came/ which is God ouer all thinges blessed for euer Amen. whose are also the fathers, off whom (after the flesh) commeth Christ, which is God ouer all, blessed for euer, Amē.
9:6 I speake not these thyngſ as though the wordes of God toke none effecte. For they are not all israhelites which cam off Israhel/ I speake not these thinges as though the wordes of god had take none effecte. For they are not all Israelites which came of Israel: I speake not these thinges as though the wordes of God had take none effecte. For they are not all Israelites which came of Israel: But I speake not these thinges, as though the worde of God were of none effecte: for they are not all Israelites, which are of Israel:
9:7 Nether are they all children strayght way be cause they are the seede of Abrahā: But in Isaac shall thy seede be called/ nether are they all chyldren strayght waye/ because they are the seed of Abraham. But in Isaac shall thy seede be called: nether are they all childrē strayght waye because they are the seed of Abraham. But in Isaac shall thy seede be called: nether are they all children, because they are the sede of Abraham: but in Isaac shal the sede be called vnto the,
9:8 that is to saye/ They which are the children of the flesshe/ are not the childrē of God. But the children off promes are counted the seede. that is to saye/ they which are the chyldren of the flesshe/ are not the chyldren of god. But the chyldren of promes are counted the seede. that is to saye/ they which are the chyldren of the flesshe/ are not the chyldren of God. But the chyldren of promes are counted the seede. that is, They which are children after the flesh, are not the children of God, but the children of the promes are counted for the sede.
9:9 For this is a worde off promes/ aboute this tyme will I come/ and Sara shall have a sōne. For this is a worde of promes/ aboute this tyme will I come/ and Sara shall have a sonne. For this is a worde of promes/ aboute this tyme will I come/ and Sara shall haue a sonne. For this is a worde of the promes, where he sayeth: Aboute this tyme wyl I come, and Sara shal haue a sonne.
9:10 Nether was it soo with her only: but also when Rebecca was with chylde by won/ I meane by oure father Isaac/ Nether was it so wt her only: but also when Rebecca was with chylde by one/ I meane by oure father Isaac/ Nether was it so with her only: but also when Rebecca was with chylde by one/ I meane by oure father Isaac/ Howbeit it is not so with this onely, but also whan Rebecca was with childe by one (namely by oure father Isaac)
9:11 yeer the children were borne/ when they had nether done good nether bad (that the purpose off God which is by eleccion/ myght stonde) it was sayde vnto her/ not by the reason of workes/ but by grace of the caller/ yeer the chyldren were borne/ when they had nether done good nether bad: that the purpose of God which is by election/ myght stonde/ it was sayde vnto her/ not by the reason of workes/ but by grace of ye caller: yer the chyldrē were borne/ whē they had nether done good nether bad: that the purpose of God which is by eleccion/ myght stonde/ it was sayde vnto her/ not by the reason of workes/ but by grace of the caller: or euer the childrē were borne, & had done nether good ner bad (that the purpose of God might stōde acordinge to the eleccion, not by the deseruynge of workes, but by the grace of the caller)
9:12 the elder shall serve the yonger. the elder shall serve the yonger. the elder shall serue the yonger. it was sayde thus vnto her: The greater shal serue the lesse.
9:13 As it is writtē: Iacob he loved/ but Esau he hated. As it is written: Iacob he loved/ but Esau he hated. As it is written: Iacob he loued/ but Esau he hated. As it is wrytten: Iacob haue I loued, but Esau haue I hated.
9:14 What shall we saye thē? ys there eny vnrightewesnes with god? God forbid. What shall we saye then? is there eny vnrightewesses with God? God forbyd. What shall we saye then? is there eny vnrightewesnes with God? God forbyd. What shal we saye then? Is God then vnrighteous? God forbyd.
9:15 For he sayth to Moses: I will shewe mercy to whom I shewe mercy: And will have compassion on whom I have compassion. For he sayth to Moses: I will shewe mercye to whō I shewe mercy: and will have compassion on whom I have cōpassion. For he sayth to Moses: I will shewe mercy to whom I shewe mercy: and will haue compassion on whom I haue cōpassion. For he sayeth vnto Moses: I shewe mercy, to whom I shewe mercy: and haue cōpassion, on whō I haue compassion.
9:16 So lieth it not then in a mans will/ or rūnynge/ butt in the mercy of God. So lieth it not then in a mans will or cunnynge/ but in ye mercye of god. So lieth it not then in a mās will or cunninge/ but in the mercye of God. So lyeth it not then in eny mans wyll or runnynge, but in the mercy of God.
9:17 For the scripture sayth vnto Pahrao: Even for thys same purpose have I stered the vppe/ to shewe my power on the/ and that my name myght be declared thorow out all the worlde. For the scripture sayth vnto Pharao: Even for this same purpose have I stered ye vp/ to shewe my power on ye/ & that my name myght be declared thorow out all the worlde. For the scripture sayth vnto Pharao: Euē for this same purpose haue I stered the vp/ to shewe my power on the & that my name might be declared thorow out all the worlde. For the scripture sayeth vnto Pharao: For this cause haue I stered the vp, euen to shewe my power on the, that my name mighte be declared in all lōdes.
9:18 Soo hath he mercy on whom he woll. And whom he woll he maketh herde herted. So hath he mercye on whom he will/ and whom he will/ he maketh hearde herted. So hath he mercie on whom he will/ and whom he will/ he maketh heard herted. Thus hath he mercy on whom he wyl: and whom he wyl, he hardeneth.
9:19 Thou wilt saye then vnto me: why then blameth he vs yett? For who can resist his will? Thou wilt saye then vnto me: why then blameth he vs yet? For who can resist his will? Thou wilt saye then vnto me: why then blameth he vs yet? For who cā resist his will? Thou wilt saye then vnto me: Why blameth he vs yet? For who can resiste his will?
9:20 Butt o man what arte thou/ which disputest with God? shall the worke saye to the workeman: why hast thou made me on this fassion? But o man/ what arte thou which disputest with God? Shall the worke saye to the workeman: why hast thou made me on this fassion? But o man/ what arte thou which disputest with God? Shall the worke saye to the worke man: why hast thou made me on this fassion? O thou man, who art thou, that disputest with God? Sayeth the worke to his workman: Why hast thou made me on this fashion?
9:21 Hath nott the potter power over the claye/ even off the same lompe to make one vessell vnto honoure/ and a nother vnto dishonoure? Hath not the potter power over the claye/ even of the same lompe to make one vessell vnto honoure/ and a nother vnto dishonoure? Hath not the potter power ouer the claye/ euen of the same Iompe to make one vessell vnto honoure and another vnto dishonoure? Hath not the potter power, out of one lompe of claye to make one vessell vnto honoure, and another vnto dishonoure?
9:22 Even soo/ God willynge to shewe his wrath/ and to make hys power knowen/ suffered with longe pacience the vessels of wrath/ ordeyned to damnacion/ Even so/ God willynge to shewe his wrath/ and to make his power knowen/ suffered with longe pacience the vessels of wrath/ ordeyned to damnacion/ Euen so/ God willinge to shewe his wrath/ and to make his power knowē suffered with longe pacience the vessels of wrath/ ordeyned to damnacion/ Therfore whan God wolde shewe wrath, and to make his power knowne, he broughte forth with greate pacience the vessels off wrath, which are ordeyned to damnacion:
9:23 that he myght declare the riches off hys glory on the vessels off mercy/ which he had prepayred vnto glory: that he myght declare ye ryches of his glory on the vessels of mercye/ which he had prepayred vnto glorie: that he myght declare the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercye/ which he had prepared vnto glorie: that he mighte declare the riches off his glorye on ye vessels of mercy, which he hath prepared vnto glorye,
9:24 that is to saye/ vs which he called/ nott off the iewes only/ butt also off the gentyls. that is to saye/ vs which he called/ not of the Iewes only/ but also of ye gentyls. that is to saye/ vs which he called/ not of the Iewes only/ but also of the gētyls. whom he hath called (namely vs) not onely of the Iewes, but also of the Gentyles.
9:25 As he sayth in Osee: I will call them my people which where not my people: and her beloved which was nott beloved. As he sayth in Osee: I will call them my people which were not my people: and her beloved which was not beloved. As he sayth in Osee: I will call them my people which were not my people: and her beloued which was not beloued. As he sayeth also by Osee: I wil call that my people, which is not my people: and my beloued, which is not ye beloued.
9:26 And it shall come to passe in the place where it was sayd vnto them: Ye are nott my people/ that there shalbe called the sonnes of the livynge god. And it shall come to passe in the place where it was sayd vnto them/ ye are not my people: that there shalbe called the chyldren of the lyvynge God. And it shall come to passe in the place where it was sayd vnto them/ ye are not my people: that there shalbe called the chyldren of the liuinge God. And it shal come to passe in ye place, where it was sayde vnto them: Ye are not my people, there shal they be called the children of the lyuynge God.
9:27 But Esayas cryeth for Israhel/ though the nōber of the childrē of Israel be as the sonde of the see/ yet shall a remnaunt be saved. But Esaias cryeth concernynge Israel/ though the nomber of the chyldren of Israel be as the sonde of the see/ yet shall a remnaūt be saved. But Esaias cryeth concerninge Israel/ though the nomber of the chyldren of Israel be as the sonde of the see yet shall a remnaūt be saued. But Esay crieth ouer Israel: Though the nombre of the children of Israel be as the sonde of the see, yet shal there but a remnaunt be saued.
9:28 He finnyssheth the worde verely ād maketh it short ī rightewesnes. For a short worde will god make ō erth He finyssheth the worde verely and maketh it short in ryghtwesses. For a short worde will god make on erth. He finissheth the worde verely and maketh it short in ryghtwesnes. For a short worde will God make on erth. For there is the worde, that fynisheth and shorteneth in righteousnes: for a shorte worde shal God make vpon earth.
9:29 And as Esayas sayd before: Except the lorde of sabaoth hadde left vs seede/ we had bene made as Zodoma/ ād had bene lykened to Gomorra. And as Esaias sayd before: Except the Lorde of sabaoth had left vs seede/ we had bene made as Zodoma/ and had bene lykened to Gomorra. And as Esaias sayd before: Except the Lorde of Saboth had left vs seede/ we had bene made as zodoma/ and had bene lykened to Gomorra. And as Esay sayde before: Excepte the LORDE of Sabbaoth had lefte vs sede, we shulde haue bene as Sodoma, and like vnto Gomorra.
9:30 What shall we saye thē? we saye that the gentyls which folowed not rightewesnes/ have overtaken rightewesnes I mane the rightewesnes which cōmeth of fayth. What shall we saye then? We saye that the gentyls which followed not rightewesnes have overtaken rightewesnes: I meane the rightewesnes which cometh of fayth. What shall we saye then? We saye that the gentyls which folowed not rightewesnes haue ouertakē rightewesnes: I meane the rightewesnes which cometh of fayth. What shal we saye then? This wil we saye: The Heythen which folowed not righteousnes, haue ouertaken righteousnes: but I speake of the righteousnes that commeth of faith.
9:31 Butt Israel which folowed the lawe of rightewesnes/ coulde not attayne vnto the lawe of rightewesnes. But Israel which folowed the lawe of rightewesnes/ coulde not attayne vnto ye lawe of rightewesnes. But Israel which folowed the lawe of rightewesnes/coulde not attayne vnto the lawe of rightewesnes. Agayne, Israel folowed the lawe of righteousnes, and attayned not vnto the lawe of righteousnes.
9:32 And wherfore? Because they sought it not by fath: but as it were by the workſ of the lawe. For they have stombled at the stomblynge stone. And wherfore? Because they sought it not by fath: but as it were by the workes of the lawe. For they have stombled at the stomblynge stone. And wherfore? Because thy sought it not by fayth: but as it were by the workes of the lawe. For they haue stombled at the stomblinge stone. Why so? Euen because they soughte it not out of faith, but as it were out of the deseruynge of workes. For they haue stombled at the stomblinge stone.
9:33 As it is written Beholde I put in syon a stomblynge stone/ and a rocke which shall make men faule. ād none that belove on hym shalbe a shamed. As it is written: Beholde I put in Syon a stomblynge stone/ & a rocke which shall make men faule. And none yt beleve on him/ shalbe a shamed. As it is written: Beholde I put in Syon a stomblynge stone/ & a rocke which shall make men faule. And none that beleue on him/ shalbe ashamed. As it is wrytten: Beholde, I laye in Sion a stone to stōble at, and a rocke to be offended at: and who so euer beleueth on him, shal not be confounded.

8:1 THere is then no damnacion to them whiche are in Christ Iesu/ which walke not after the flesshe: butt after the sprete. THer is then no damnacion to them which are in Christ Iesu/ which walke not after ye flesshe: but after ye sprete. THer is then no damnacion to them which are in Christ Iesu/ which walke not after the flesshe: but after the sprete. THen is there now no damnacion vnto thē that are in Christ Iesu, which walke not after the flesh, but after ye sprete.
8:2 For the lawe of the sprete/ wherin is life thorowe Iesus Christ hath delivered me from the lawe off synne/ and deeth. For the lawe of the sprete yt bringeth life thorowe Iesus Christ/ hath delivered me frō the lawe of synne & deeth. For the lawe of the sprete that bringeth lyfe thorowe Iesus Christ/ hath deliuered me frō the lawe of synne & deeth. For ye lawe of ye sprete (yt bryngeth life ī Christ Iesu) hath made me fre frō the lawe of synne & death.
8:3 For what the lawe coulde nott doo in as moche as itt was weake be cause off the flesshe: that performed God/ and sent his sonne in the similitude of synfull flesshe/ and by synne damned synne in the flesshe: For what the lawe coulde not doo in as moche it was weake because of the flesshe: that performed God/ & sent his sonne in the similitude of synfull flesshe/ & by synne dāned synne in ye flesshe: For what the lawe coulde not do in as moche as it was weake because of the flesshe: that performed God/ & sent his sonne in the similitude of synfull flesshe/ & by synne damned synne in the flesshe: For what vnpossible was vnto ye lawe (in as moch as it was weake because of the flesh) yt perfourmed God, & sent his sonne in ye similitude of synfull flesh, & by synne dāned synne in ye flesh:
8:4 that the rightewesnes requyred of the lawe/ myght be fulfilled in vs/ whych walke not after the flesshe: butt after the sprete. that the rightewesnes requyred of the lawe myght be fulfilled in vs/ which walke not after the flesshe/ but after the sprete. that the rightewesnes requyred of the lawe/ myght be fulfilled in vs/ which walke not after the flesshe/ but after the sprete. that the righteousnes requyred of the lawe, mighte be fulfylled in vs, which walke not after the flesh, but after the sprete.
8:5 For they that are carnall/ are carnally mynded. and they that are spirituall are goostly mynded. For they that are carnall/ are carnally mynded. But they that are spirituall/ are gostly mynded. For they that are carnall/ are carnally mynded. But they that are spirituall/ are gostly mynded. For they that are fleshly, are fleshly mynded: but they that are goostly, are goostly mynded.
8:6 To be carnally mynded is deeth. and to be spiritually mynded is lyfe/ and peace: To be carnally mynded/ is deeth. But to be spiritually mynded is lyfe & peace. To be carnally mynded/ is deeth. But to be spiritually mynded is lyfe and peace. To be fleshly mynded, is death: but to be goostly mynded, is life and peace.
8:7 because that the flesshly mynde is emnyte agaīst God: For it is not obedient to the lawe of God/ nether can be. Because that the flesshly mynde is emnyte agaynst God: for it is not obedient to the lawe of God/ nether can be. Because that the flesshly mynde is emnyte agaynst God: for it is not obediēt to the lawe of God/ nether can be. For to be fleshly mynded is enemyte agaynst. God, syth it is not subdued vnto ye lawe of God, for it can not also.
8:8 So then they that are geven to the flesshe/ cannot please god. So then they yt are geven to the flesshe/ cānot please God. So then they that are geuen to the flesshe/ cannot please God. As for thē that are fleshlye, they can not please God.
8:9 But ye are not geven to the flesshe/ But to the sprete: Yff soo be that the sprett of God dwell in you. if there be eny man that hath not the sprete of Christ/ the same is none of his/ But ye are not geven to the flesshe/ but to the sprete: yf so be that ye sprite of God dwell in you. If ther be eny man yt hath not ye sprite of Christ/ ye same is none of his. But ye are not geuen to the flesshe/ but to the sprete: yf so be that the sprite of god dwel in you. If ther be eny man that hath not the sprite of Christ/ the same is none of his. Howbeit ye are not fleshly, but goostly, yf so be that the sprete of God dwell in you. But who so hath not the sprete of Christ, the same is not his.
8:10 Yf Christ be in you/ the body is deed be cause of synne: But the sprete is lyfe for rightewesnes sake. Yf Christ be in you/ the body is deed because of synne: but the sprite is lyfe for rightewesnes sake. Yf Christ be in you/ the body is deed because of synne: but the sprite is lyfe for rightewesnes sake. Neuertheles yf Christ be in you, then is the body deed because of synne. But the sprete is life for righteousnes sake.
8:11 Wherfore if the sprete of hym that raysed vppe Iesus from deeth/ dwell in you: even he that raysed vp Christ from deeth/ shall quicken youre mortall bodyes/ be cause that his sprete dwelleth in you. Wherfore if the sprite of him that raysed vppe Iesus frō deeth/ dwell in you: even he that raysed vp Christ from deeth/ shall quycken youre mortall bodyes/ because that this sprite dwelleth in you. Wherfore if the sprite of him that raysed vp Iesus from deeth/ dwell in you: euē he that raysed vp Christ from deeth/ shall quycken youre mortall bodyes/ because that this sprite dwelleth in you. Wherfore yf the sprete of him, that raysed vp Iesus from the deed, dwell in you, then shal euen he also that raysed vp Christ from the deed, quyckē youre mortal bodies, because yt his sprete dwelleth in you.
8:12 Therfore brethern we are nowe detters/ not to the flesshe/ to live after the flesshe: Therfore brethren we are nowe detters/ not to the flesshe/ to live after the flesshe. Therfore brethren we are nowe detters/ not to the flesshe/ to liue after the flesshe. Therfore brethrē we are now detters, not to the flesh, to lyue after the flesh:
8:13 For iff ye live after the flesshe/ ye must deye. But if ye mortifie the dedes off the body/ by the helpe off the sprete ye shall live/ For if ye live after the flesshe/ ye must dye. But yf ye mortifie the dedes of the body/ by the helpe of the sprite/ ye shall lyve. For yf ye liue after the flesshe/ ye must dye. But yf ye mortifie the dedes of the body/ by the helpe of the sprite/ ye shall lyue. for yf ye lyue after ye fleshe, ye must dye: but yf ye mortyfye the dedes of the body thorow the sprete, ye shal lyue.
8:14 for as many as are ledde by the sprete off God/ are the sonnes of god. For as many as are led by the sprete of God: they are the sonnes of god. For as many as are led by the sprete of God: they are the sonnes of God. For who so euer are led by the sprete of God,
8:15 For ye have not receaved the sprete of bondage to feare eny moare/ but ye have receaved the sprete off adopcion wherby we crye abba fatther. For ye have no receaved the sprete of bondage to feare eny moare/ but ye have receaved the sprite of adopcion wherby we crye Abba father. For ye haue not receaued the sprete of bondage to feare eny moare/ but ye haue receaued the sprete of adopcion wherby we crye Abba father. are Gods childrē: for ye haue not receaued the sprete of bondage to feare eny more, but ye haue receaued ye sprete of adopcion, wherby we crye: Abba, deare father.
8:16 The same sprete certifieth oure sprete that we are the sonnes of god. The same sprete certifieth oure sprete yt we are the sonnes of God. The same sprete certifieth oure sprete that we are the sonnes of god. The same sprete certifieth oure sprete, that we are the childrē of God.
8:17 yf we be the sōnes/ we are also the heyres (the heyres I meane of god) and heyres anexed with Christ/ yf so be that we suffer togedder/ that we maye be glorified togedder. Yf we be sonnes/ we are also heyres/ the heyres I meane of God/ and heyres anexed with Christ: if so be that we suffer togedder/ that we maye be glorified to gedder. Yf we be sonnes/ we are also heyres/ the heyres I meane of God/ and heyres anexed with Christ: yf so be that we suffer to gether/ that we maye be glorified to gether. Yf we be childrē, then are we heyres also, namely the heyres of God, and heyres annexed with Christ, yf so be that we suffer together, that we maye be also glorified together.
8:18 For I suppose that the affliccions of this lyfe/ are not worthy of the glory which shalbe shewed apon vs. For I suppose that the affliccions of this lyfe/ are not worthy of the glory which shalbe shewed vpon vs. For I suppose that the affliccions of this lyfe/ are not worthy of the glory which shalbe shewed vpō vs. For I suppose, that the affliccions off this tyme, are not worthy of ye glorye, which shalbe shewed vpon vs.
8:19 also the fervent desire of the creatures abideth lokynge when the sonnes of God shall apere Also the fervent desyre of the creatures abideth lokynge when the sonnes of God shall appere/ Also the feruent desyre of the creatures abideth lokinge when the sonnes of God shall appere/ For the feruent lōginge of ye creature loketh for the appearinge of the children of God,
8:20 because the creatures are subdued to vanite agaynst their will: but for his will which subdued them in hope. because the creatures are subdued to vanyte agaynst their will: but for his will which subdueth them in hope. because the creatures are subdued to vanite agaynst their will: but for his will which subdueth them in hope. because the creature is subdued vnto vanyte agaynst hir will, but for his wyll that hath subdued her vpon hope.
8:21 For the very creatures shalbe delivered from the bondage off corrupcion/ into the glorious libertie off the sonnes of god. For ye very creatures shalbe delivered from the bondage of corrupcion/ into the glorious lybertie of the sonnes of God. For the very creatures shalbe deliuered from the bondage of corrupciō into the glorious lybertie of the sonnes of God. For the creature also shal be fre from the bondage of corrupcion, vnto the glorious libertye of the childrē of God.
8:22 For we knowe that every creature groneth with vs also/ and travayleth in payne even vnto this tyme. For we knowe that every creature groneth with vs also/ and travayleth in payne even vnto this tyme. For we knowe that euery creature groneth with vs also/ and trauayleth in payne euen vnto this tyme. For we knowe, that euery creature groneth, and trauayleth with vs in payne vnto the same tyme.
8:23 Not they only/ but even we also which have the fyrst frutes of the sprete morne in oure selves and wayte for the adopcion/ and loke for the deliveraunce of oure bodies. Not they only/ but even we also which have the fyrst frutes of the sprite/ morne in oureselves & wayte for the (adopciō) & loke for the delivraunce of oure bodyes. Not they only/ but euen we also which haue the fyrst frutes of the sprite/ morne in oure selues & wayte for the (adopciō) & loke for the deliuraunce of oure bodies. Not they only, but we oure selues also, which haue the first frutes of the sprete, grone within in oure selues for the childshippe, and loke for ye delyueraunce of oure bodye.
8:24 For we are savyd by hope. But hope that is sene is no hope. For how can a man hope for that which he seyth? For we are savyd by hope. But hope that is sene is no hope. For how can a mā hope for that which he seyth? For we are sauyd by hope. But hope that is sene is no hope. For how can a man hope for that which he seyth? For we are saued ī dede, howbeit ī hope: but ye hope that is sene, is no hope: for how can a man hope for that which he seyeth?
8:25 but ād if we hope for that we se not/ thē do we with pacience abyde for it. But and yf we hope for that we se not/ then do we with pacience abyde for it. But and yf we hope for that we se not/ then do we with pacience abyde for it. But yf we hope for that which we se not, thē do we thorow pacience abyde for it.
8:26 Lyke wyse the sprete also helpeth oure infirmities. For we knowe nott/ what to desyre as we ought: but the sprete maketh intercession mightely for vs with gronyngſ which cānot be expressid with tonge. Lyke wyse ye sprite also helpeth oure infirmities. For we knowe not what to desyre as we ought: but the sprete maketh intercession mightely for vs with gronyngſ which cānot be expressid with tonge. Lyke wyse the sprete also helpeth oure infirmities. For we knowe not what to desyre as we ought: but the sprete maketh intercession mightely for vs with groninges which cānot be expressid with tonge. Likewyse the sprete also helpeth oure weaknesse: for we knowe not what we shulde desyre as we oughte: neuertheles ye sprete it selfe maketh intercession mightely for vs with vnoutspeakable gronynges.
8:27 And he that searchith the herte knoweth what is the meanynge off the sprete: for he maketh intercession for the sayntſ accordinge to the pleasure of god. And he that searcheth the hertes/ knoweth what is ye meaninge of the sprite: for he maketh intercession for the sayntes accordinge to ye pleasure of god. And he that searcheth the hertes/ knoweth what is the meaninge of the sprite: for he maketh intercession for the saynctes accordinge to the pleasure of God. Howbeit he yt searcheth the hert, knoweth what the mynde of the sprete is: for he maketh intercession for the sayntes acordinge to the pleasure of God.
8:28 For we knowe wele that all thyngſ worke for the best vnto thē that love god/ which also are called of purpose. For we knowe that all thinges worke for the best vnto them yt love God/ which also are called of purpose. For we knowe that all thinges worke for the best vnto them that loue God/ which also are called of purpose. But sure we are, that all thinges serue for the best vnto them that loue of God, which are called of purpose.
8:29 For those which he knēwe before/ he also ordeyned before/ that they shuld be like fassioned vnto the shape of his sōne/ that he myght be the fyrst begotten sonne amonge many brethrē. For those which he knewe before/ he also ordeyned before/ yt they shuld be lyke fassioned vnto the shape of his sonne/ that he myght be ye fyrst begotten sonne amōge many brethren. For those which he knewe before/ he also ordeyned before/ that they shulde be lyke fassioned vnto the shape of his sonne/ that he myght be the fyrst begottē sonne amōge many brethrē. For those whom he knewe before, hath he ordeyned also before, yt they shulde be like fashioned vnto ye shappe of his sonne, yt he mighte be the first begottē amōge many brethrē.
8:30 Morover which he apoynted before/ them he also called. and which he called/ thē also he iustified. which he iustified/ them he also glorified. Morover which he apoynted before/ them he also called. And which he called/ them also he iustified/ which he iustified/ them he also glorified. Moreouer which he apoynted before/ thē also he called. And which he called/ them also he iustified/ Which he iustified/ them he also glorified. As for those whom he hath ordeyned before, them hath he called also: and whom he hath called, thē hath he also made righteous: and whom he hath made righteous, them hath he glorified also.
8:31 What shall we then saye vnto these thynges? yf god be on oure syde: who can be agaynst vs? What shall we then saye vnto these thinges? yf god be on oure syde: who can be agaynst vs? What shall we then saye to these thinges? yf God be on oure syde: who can be agaynst vs? What shal we saye then vnto these thinges? Yff God be on oure syde, who can be agaynst vs.
8:32 which spared nott his awne sonne/ butt gave hym for vs all: Howe shall he nott with hym geve vs all thyngſ also? which spared not his awne sonne/ but gave him for vs all: how shall he not wt him geve vs all thingſ also? which spared not his awne sonne/ but gaue him for vs all: how shall he not with him geue vs all thinges also? Which spared not his owne sonne, but hath geuen him for vs all: how shal he not with him geue vs all thinges also?
8:33 Who shall laye eny thynge to the charge of goddes chosen? Hit is God that iustifieth: Who shall laye eny thinge to ye charge of goddes chosen? it is god that iustifieth: Who shall laye eny thinge to the charge of Goddes chosen? it is God that iustifieth: Who wyl laye eny thinge to ye charge of Gods chosen? Here is God that maketh righteous,
8:34 who then shall condempne? Hytt is Christ which is deed/ ye rather which is rysen agayne/ which is also on the right honde of god and maketh intercession for vs. who then shall condempne? it is Christ which is deed/ ye rather which is rysen agayne/ which is also on the ryght honde of God/ & maketh intercession for vs. who then shall condempne? it is Christ which is deed ye rather which is rysen agayne/ which is also on the ryght honde of God & maketh intercession for vs. who wil then condemne? Here is Christ that is deed, yee rather which is raysed vp agayne, which is also on ye righte hande of God, and maketh intercession for vs.
8:35 Who shall seperate vs from goddes love? shall trihulacion? or anguysshe? or persecucion/ other honger? other nakednesse? other parell? other swearde? Who shall seperate vs frō the love of god? shall tribulacion? or anguysshe? or persecucion? other honger? other nakednesse? other parell? other swearde? Who shall seperate vs frō the loue of God? shall tribulacion? or anguysshe? or persecucion? other honger? ether nakednesse? ether parell? ether swearde? Who will separate vs from the loue of God? Trouble? or anguysh? or persecuciō? or honger? or nakednesse? or parell? or swerde?
8:36 As it is written: For thy sake are we kylled all daye longe/ and are counted as shepe apoynted to be slayne. As it is written: For thy sake are we kylled all daye longe/ and are counted as shepe apoynted to be slayne. As it is written: For thy sake are we kylled all daye longe/ and are counted as shepe apoynted to be slayne. As it is wrytten: For thy sake are we kylled all the daye longe, we are counted as shepe appoynted to be slayne.
8:37 Neverthelesse in all these thynges we overcome strongly thorow his helpe that loved vs. Neverthelesse in all these thinges we overcome strongly thorow his helpe that loved vs. Neuerthelesse in all these thinges we ouercome strongly thorow his helpe that loued vs. Neuerthelesse in all these thinges we ouercome farre, for his sake that loued vs.
8:38 Ye and I am sure that nether deeth/ nether lyfe/ nether angell/ nor rule/ nether power/ nether thynges present/ nether thīges to come/ Ye and I am sure that nether deeth/ nether lyfe/ nether angels/ nor rule/ nether power/ nether thinges present/ nether thinges to come/ Ye and I am sure that nether deeth/ nether lyfe/ nether angels/ nor rule/ nether power/ nether thinges present/ nether thinges to come/ For sure I am, that nether death ner life, nether angell, ner rule, nether power, nether thinges present, nether thinges to come,
8:39 nether heyth/ nether lowth/ nether eny other creature shalbe able to departe vs from Goddes love/ which is in Christ Iesu oure lorde. nether heyth/ nether loweth/ nether eny other creature shalbe able to departe vs frō ye love of God/ shewed in Christ Iesu oure lorde. nether heygh/ nether loweth/ nether eny other creature shalbe able to departe vs frō the loue of God/ shewed in Christ Iesu oure Lorde. nether heyth, ner loweth, nether eny other creature shalbe able to separate vs from the loue of God, which is in Christ Iesu oure LORDE.

The Epistle of S. Paul To the Romayns. The .vij. Chapter.
Ver.

7:1 REmember ye not brethren (I speake to thē thatt know the lawe) how thatt the lawe hath power over a man as longe as yt enduereth: REmember ye not brethren (I speake to them yt know the lawe) how that the lawe hath power over a man as longe as it endureth? REmember ye not brethrē (I speake to them that know the lawe) how that the lawe hath power ouer a mā as longe as it endureth? KNowe ye not brethren (for I speake vnto them that knowe the lawe) how that ye lawe hath power vpon a man as longe as he lyueth?
7:2 For the woman which is in subieccion to a man/ is bounde by the lawe to the man/ as longe as he liveth. Yff the man be deed/ she is lowsed from the lawe of the man. For the woman which is in subieccion to a man/ is bounde by the lawe to the man/ as longe as he liveth. Yf the man be deed/ she is lowsed from the lawe of the man For the woman which is in subiecciō to a mā/ is boūde by the lawe to the man/ as longe as he liueth. If the man be deed/ she is lowsed frō the lawe of the mā. For the woman yt is in subieccion to the man, is bounde vnto the lawe whyle the man lyueth: but yf the man dye, then is she lowsed from the lawe that concerneth the man.
7:3 So then yf whill the man liveth she couple her silfe with another man/ she shalbe coūted a wedlocke breaker. But yf the man be deed she is fre from the lawe: so that she is noo wedlocke breaker/ though she couple her silfe with another man. So then yf whill the man liveth she couple her selfe with another man/ she shalbe counted a wedlocke breaker. But yf the man be deed/ she is fre frō the lawe: so that she is no wedlocke breaker/ though she couple her selfe with another man/ So then yf whill the mā liueth she couple her selfe with another mā/ she shalbe counted a wedlocke breaker. But yf the man be deed/ she is fre from the lawe: so that she is no wedlocke breaker/ though she couple her selfe with another man. Yf she be now with another man, whyle the man lyueth, she shal be called a wedlocke breaker. But yf the man be deed, then is she fre from the lawe, so that she is no wedlocke breaker, yf she be with another man.
7:4 Even so my brethren/ ye also are made deed as concernynge the lawe by the body off Christ/ that ye shulde be coupled to another (I meane to hym that is rysen agayne from deeth) that we shulde brynge forth furte vnto God. Even so ye my brethren/ are deed concerninge the lawe by the body of Christ/ yt ye shuld be coupled to another (I meane to him that is rysen agayne frō deeth) that we shuld bringe forth frute vnto God. Euen so ye my brethrē/ are deed concerninge the lawe by the body of Christ/ that ye shulde be coupled to another (I meane to him that is risen agayne from deeth) that we shuld bringe forth frute vnto God. Euen so my brethren, ye also are deed vnto the lawe by the body of Christ, that ye shulde be with another (namely wt him which is raysed vp from the deed) that we shulde brynge forth frute vnto God.
7:5 When we were in the flesshe/ the lustes off synne whyche were stered vppe by the lawe/ raigned in oure members/ to brīge forth frute vnto deeth. For when we were in the flesshe/ the lustes of synne which were stered vppe by ye lawe/ raygned in oure membres/ to bringe forth frute vnto deeth. For when we were in the flesshe/ the lustes of synne which were stered vppe by the lawe raygned in oure members/ to bringe forth frute vnto deeth. For whan we were in the flesh, the synfull lustes (which were stered vp by the lawe) were mightie in oure membres to brynge forth frute vnto death.
7:6 Butt now are we delivered from the lawe/ and deed from hit/ where vnto we were in bondage/ that we shulde serve in an newe conversacion of the sprete/ and nott in the olde conversacion off the letter. But now are we delivered frō the lawe & deed/ frō that whervnto we werein bondage/ that we shuld serve in a newe conversacion of ye sprete/ & not in ye olde conversacion of the letter. But now are we deliuered frō the lawe & deed frō that whervnto we were in bondage that we shuld serue in a newe cōuersacion of the sprete/ & not in the olde conuersacion of the letter. But now are we lowsed from the lawe, and deed vnto it, that helde vs captyue, so that we shulde serue in a new conuersacion of the sprete, and not in the olde conuersacion of the letter.
7:7 What shall we saye then? is the lawe synne? God forbid: but I knewe nott what synne me and butt by the lawe. For I had nott knowne what lust hadde meant/ excepte the lawe hadde sayde/ thou shalt not lust. What shall we saye then? is ye lawe synne? God forbid: but I knewe not what synne meant but by the lawe. For I had not knowne what lust had meant/ excepte the lawe had sayde/ thou shalt not lust. What shall we saye then? is the lawe synne? God forbyd: but I knewe not what synne meāt but by the lawe. For I had not knowne what lust had meant/ excepte the lawe had sayde/ thou shalt not lust. What shal we saye then? Is the lawe synne? God forbyd: Neuertheles I knewe not synne, but by ye lawe. For I had knowne nothinge of lust, yf the lawe had not sayde: Thou shalt not lust.
7:8 But synne toke an occasion by the meanes off the commaundement/ and wrought in me all manner off concupiscence. For verely with out the lawe sinne was deed. But synne toke an occasion by the meanes of the commaundement/ and wrought in me all manner of concupiscēce. For with out the lawe/ synne was deed. But synne toke an occasion by the meanes of the commaundement and wrought in me all māner of concupiscence. For verely without the lawe/ synne was deed. But then toke synne occasion at the commaundement, and stered vp in me all maner of lust. For without the lawe synne was deed.
7:9 I once lived with out lawe: butt when the commaundement cam/ synne revived/ ād I was deed. I once lived with out lawe. But when the commaundement came/ synne revyved/ and I was deed. I once liued without lawe. But when the cōmaundemēt came/ synne reuyued/ and I was deed. As for me, I lyued some tyme without lawe. Howbeit whan the commaundement came, synne reuyued, but I was deed.
7:10 And the very same commaundement which was ordeyned vnto lyfe/ was founde to be vnto me an occasion of deeth. And the very same cōmaundement which was ordeyned vnto lyfe/ was founde to be vnto me an occasion of deeth. And the very same cōmaundement which was ordeyned vnto lyfe/ was founde to be vnto me an occasion of deeth. And the very same commaundement that was geuen me vnto life, was founde to be vnto me on occasion of death.
7:11 For synne toke occasiō by the meanes of the cōmaundement and so disceaved me/ and by the silfe cōmaundemēt slewe me. For synne toke occasion by the meanes of the cōmaundement & so disceaved me/ and by the selfe commaundement slewe we. For synne toke occasion by the meanes of the commaundement/ & so disceaued me/ & by the selfe commaundemēt slewe me. For synne toke occasion at the cōmaundement, and disceaued me, and slewe me by the same commaundement.
7:12 wherfore the lawe is holy/ and the cōmaundement holy/ iust/ and good. Wherfore the lawe is holy/ and the commaundement holy/ iust and good. Wherfore the lawe is holy/ and the commaundement holy/ iust and good. The lawe in dede is holy, and the commaundement holy, iust and good.
7:13 Was that then which is good made deeth vnto me? God forbyd. Naye synne was deeth vnto me/ that it myght apere how thatt synne by the meanes of that which is good/ had wrought deeth in me: that synne which is vnder the commaundemēt/ myght be out of measure synfull. Was that then which is good/ made deeth vnto me? God forbyd. Naye/ synne was deeth vnto me/ that it myght appere/ how that synne by the meanes of that which is good/ had wrought deeth in me: that synne which is vnder the commandemēt/ myght be out of measure synfull. Was that then which is good/ made deeth vnto me? God forbyd. Naye/ synne was deeth vnto me/ that it myght appere/ how that synne by the meanes of that which is good/ had wrought deeth in me: that synne which is vnder the cōmaundement/ myght be out of measure synfull. Is that then which is good, become death vnto me? God forbyd. But synne, that it mighte appeare how yt it is synne, hath wroughte me death thorow good: that synne mighte be out of measure synfull by the commaundement.
7:14 For we knowe that the lawe is spirituall: butt I am carnall/ solde vnder synne: For we knowe that the lawe is spirituall: but I am carnall/ solde vnder synne/ For we knowe that the lawe is spirituall: but I am carnall solde vnder synne/ For we knowe, that the lawe is spirituall, but I am carnall, solde vnder synne:
7:15 be cause I wote nott what I doo. For what I wold/ that do I not: but what I hate/ that do I. because I wote not what I doo. For what I wold/ that do I not: but what I hate/ that do I. because I wote not what I do. For what I wold/ that do I not: but what I hate/ that do I. because I knowe not what I do. For I do not yt I will, but what I hate, yt do I.
7:16 Yf I do nowe that which I wolde not/ I graūte to the lawe that yt ys good. Yf I do now that which I wolde not/ I graūte to the lawe that it is good. Yf I do now that which I wolde not/ I graūte to the lawe that it is good. Yf I do now that which I wil not, thē graunte I, that the lawe is good.
7:17 So then nowe yt is nott I that do it/ butt synne that dwelleth in me. So then nowe/ it is not I that do it/ but synne that dwelleth in me. So then nowe/ it is not I that do it/ but synne that dwelleth in me. So then it is not I that do it, but synne that dwelleth in me:
7:18 For I knowe that in me (that is to saye ī my flesshe) dwelleth no good thynge. To will is present with me: butt I fynde no meanes to performe that which is good. For I knowe that in me (that is to saye in my flesshe) dwelleth no good thinge. To will is present with me: but I fynde no meanes to performe that which is good. For I knowe that in me (that is to saye in my flesshe) dwelleth no good thinge. To will is present with me: but I fynde no meanes to performe that which is good. for I knowe that in me (yt is, in my flesh) there dwelleth no good thinge. To wyll is present wt me, but to perfourme yt which is good,
7:19 For I doo not that goode thynge which I wold: but that evyll do I/ which I wolde not. For I doo not yt good thinge which I wold: but that evill do I/ which I wolde not. For I do not that good thinge which I wold: but that euill do I/ which I wold not. I fynde not. For ye good that I wyll, do I not: but the euell which I wil not, that do I.
7:20 Finally/ yff I do that I wolde not/ then is it nott I that doo it/ but synne that dwelleth ī me doeth it. Finally/ yf I do that I wolde not/ then is it not I that doo it/ but synne that dwelleth in me/ doeth it. Finally if I do that I wolde not/ then is it not I that do it/ but synne that dwelleth in me/ doeth it. Yf I do now that I wil not, then is it not I that do it, but synne that dwelleth in me.
7:21 I fynde then by the lawe that when I wolde do good/ evyll is present with me. I fynde then by the lawe that when I wolde do good/ evyll is present with me. I fynde then by the lawe/ that when I wolde doo good/ euyll is present with me. Thus fynde I now by the lawe, yt whan I wyl do good, euell is present with me.
7:22 I delite in the lawe off God/ as concernynge the inner man. I delite in the lawe of God/ concerninge the inner man. I delite in the lawe of God/ concerninge the inner man. For I delite in the lawe of God after the inwarde man:
7:23 Butt I se another lawe in my members rebellynge agaynst the lawe off my mynde/ and subduynge me vnto the lawe of synne/ which is ī my members. But I se another lawe in my membres rebellinge agaynst the lawe of my mynde/ & subduynge me vnto the lawe of synne/ which is in my membres. But I se another lawe in my membres rebellinge agaynst the lawe of my mynde/ & subduynge me vnto the lawe of synne/ which is in my members. but I se another lawe in my membres, which stryueth agaynst ye lawe of my mynde, and taketh me presoner in ye lawe of synne, which is in my membres.
7:24 O wretched man that I am: who shall delyver me from this boddy of deeth? O wretched man yt I am: who shall delyver me frō this body of deeth? O wretched man that It am: who shall deliuer me from this body of deeth? O wretched man that I am, who shal delyuer me from the body of this death?
7:25 I thanke God by Iesus Christ oure lorde: So then I my silfe in my mynde serve the lawe off God/ ād in my flesshe the lawe of synne. I thanke God thorow Iesus Christ oure Lorde. So then I my silfe in my mynde serve the lawe of God/ and in my flesshe the lawe of synne. I thanke God thorow Iesus Christ oure Lorde. So then I my selfe in my mynde serue the lawe of God/ and in my flesshe the lawe of synne. I thanke God thorow Iesus Christ oure LORDE. So then wt the mynde I serue ye lawe of God, but with the flesh the lawe of synne.
