But he yt lacketh these thyngſ is blynde & gropeth for ye waye with his honde/ and hath forgotten yt he was pourged from his olde synnes. But he that lacketh these thinges/ is blinde & gropeth for the waye with his honde/ and hath forgotten that he was pourged from his olde synnes. 1:12 Wherfore I will not be negligence to put you allwayes in remembraūce of soche thyngſ/ though that ye knowe them youre selves and be also stablisshed in the present trueth. Wherfore I will not be necgligent to put you allwayes in remembraunce of soche thinges/ though that ye knowe them youre selves & be also stablisshed in the present trueth. Wherfore I will not be necgligent to put you all wayes in remembraunce of soche thinges/ though that ye knowe them youre selues & be also stablisshed in the present trueth. Therfore wil I not be necligēt to put you allwayes in remembraunce of soch thinges: though ye knowe them youre selues, and be stablished in the present trueth.
1:13 Not withstondynge I thynke yt mete (as lōge as I am in this tabernacle) to stere you vppe by puttynge you in remembraunce/ Notwithstōdinge I thynke yt mete (as longe as I am in this tabernacle) to stere you vp by puttynge you in remēbraunce/ Notwithstondinge I thinke it mete (as longe as I am in this tabernacle) to stere you vp by puttinge you in remembraunce/ Notwithstondinge I thinke it mete, as lōge as I am in this tabernacle, to stere you vp by puttinge you in remembraunce.
1:14 for as moch as I am sure howe that the tyme is at honde that I must put of this my tabernacle/ even as our lorde Iesus Christ hath shewed me. for as moch as I am sure howe that the tyme is at honde yt I must put of my tabernacle/ even as oure lorde Iesus Christ hath shewed me. for as moche as I am sure how that the tyme is at honde that I must put of my tabernacle/ euen as oure Lorde Iesus Christ hath shewed me. For I am sure, that I must shortly put of my tabernacle, euen as oure LORDE Iesus Christ hath shewed vnto me.
1:15 I will en foarce therfore/ that on every syde ye myght have wherwith to stere vppe the remēbraunce off these thyngſ after my departynge. I will enfource therfore/ that on every syde ye myght have wherwith to stere vp the remembraunce of these thynges after my departynge. I will enfoarce therfore/ that on euery side ye might haue wherwith to stere vp the remembraunce of these thinges after my departinge. Yet wyl I do my diligēce, that allwaye after my departynge ye maye haue wherwith to kepe these thinges in remembraunce.
1:16 For we folowed not decevable fables when we openned vnto you the power/ ād cōmynge of oure lorde Iesus Christ: but with oure eyes we sawe his maiestie. For we folowed not decevable fables whē we openned vnto you the power and commynge of oure lorde Iesus Christ/ but with oure eyes we sawe his maieste: For we folowed not deceuable fables whē we openned vnto you the power & comminge of oure Lorde Iesus Christ/ but with oure eyes we sawe his maieste: For we folowed not deceaueable fables, whan we declared vnto you the power and commynge of oure LORDE Iesus Christ: but with oure eyes we sawe his maiestie,
1:17 Even then verely when he receaved of god the father honor ād glory/ ād whē there cam soche a voyce to hym frō excellēt glorie. This is my dere beloved sonne/ in whom I have delite/ even then verely when he receaved of god the father honour & glory/ and when ther came soche a voyce to him from excellent glorie. This is my dere beloved sonne/ in whom I have delite. euen then verely when he receaued of god the father honour & glory/ and when ther came soche a voyce to him from excellent glorie. This is my dere beloued sonne/ in whom I haue delite. whan he receaued of God the father honoure & prayse, by a voyce that came vnto him from the excellent glory, after this maner: This is my deare sonne, in whom I haue delyte.
1:18 this voyce we herde when it cam from heven/ beynge with hym in the holy mounte. This voyce we hearde when it came from heven/ beynge with him in the holy mounte. This voyce we hearde when it came from heauen/ beynge with him in the holy mounte. And this voyce herde we broughte downe frō heauen, whan we were with him on the holy mount.
1:19 We have also a more sure worde off prophesy/ where vnto yff ye take hede/ as vnto a lyght that shyneth in a darke place/ ye do wele/ vntill the daye dawne and the daye starre aryse in youre hertes. We have also a right sure worde of prophesye wher vnto yf ye take hede/ as vnto a lyght yt shyneth in a darke place/ ye do wel/ vntill the daye dawne and the daye starre aryse in youre hertes. We haue also a ryght sure worde of prophesie whervnto yf ye take hede/ as vnto a lyght that shyneth in a darcke place/ ye do well/ vntyll the daye dawne & the daye starre aryse in youre hertes We haue also a sure worde of prophecie, and ye do well that ye take hede thervnto, as vnto a lighte that shyneth in a darke place vntyll the daye dawne, and the daye starre aryse in youre hertes.
1:20 So that ye fyrst knowe this/ that no prophesy in the scripture hath eny private interpretacion. So that ye fyrst knowe this. that no prophesye in the scripture hath eny private interpretaciō. So that ye fyrst knowe this: that no prophesie in the scripture hath eny priuate interpretacion. And this shal ye knowe first, that no prophecie in the scripture is done of eny priuate interpretacion.
1:21 For the scripture cā never by the will of man: but wholy men of god spake as they were moved by the wholy goost. For the scripture came never by the will of man: but holy men of god spake as they were moved by the holy goost. For the scripture came neuer by the will of man: but holy men of god spake as they were moued by the holy goost. For the prophecie was neuer broughte by the wyll of man, but the holy men of God spake, as they were moued of ye holy goost.

2:1 THere were falce prophetſ amonge the people even as there shalbe falce teachers amonge you: which prevely shall brynge in damnable sectes/ even denyinge the lorde that hath bought them/ and brynge on theier owen heeddes swyft damnacion/ THer were falce prophetes amonge the people/ even as ther shalbe falce teachers amonge you: wich prevely shall brynge in damnable sectes/ even denyinge the Lorde that hath bought them/ and brynge vpon them selves swyft damnacion/ THer were false Prophetes amōge the people/ euen as ther shalbe false teachers amōge you: which preuely shall bringe in damnable sectes/ euē denyinge the Lorde that hath bought them/ & bringe vpon them selues swyft damnacion/ BVt there were false prophetes also amonge the people, euen as there shalbe false teachers amonge you likewyse, which preuely shal brynge in damnable sectes, euen denyenge the LORDE that hath boughte them, and shal brynge vpon them selues swift damnacion:
2:2 and many shall folowe their damnable wayes/ by which the waye off trueth shalbe evyll spoken off/ and many shall folowe their damnable wayes/ by which the waye of trueth shalbe evyll spoken of/ and many shall folowe their damnable wayes/ by which the waye of trueth shalbe euyll spoken of/ and many shal folowe their damnable wayes, by whō the waye of the trueth shal be euell spokē of:
2:3 and thorowe coveteousnes shall they with fayned wordſ make marchādyse of you/ whose iudgement is not farre of/ ād there dampnacion slepeth not. and thorow coveteousnes shall they with fayned wordes make marchandyse of you/ whose iudgement is not farre of/ and their dampnacion slepeth not. and thorow coueteousnes shall they with fayned wordes make marchandyse of you/ whose iudgement is not farre of/ & their dampnacion slepeth not. and thorow cuvetousnes shal they with fayned wordes make marchaundise of you, vpō whō the iudgment is not necligēt in tarienge of olde, and their damnacion slepeth not.
2:4 For yf god spared not the angels that synned but cast them doune into hell/ and putt them in chaynes of darknes/ there to be kept vnto iudgement. For yf god spared not the angels that synned/ but cast them doune into hell/ and delyuered them in chaynes of darknes/ to be kept vnto iudgement. For yf God spared not the angels that synned/ but cast them doune into hell/ and deliuered thē into chaynes of dercknes/ to be kept vnto iudgement: For yf God spared not the angels that synned, but cast them downe with the cheynes of darknes in to hell, and delyuered thē ouer to be kepte vnto iudgment:
2:5 nether spared the olde worlde: butt saved Noe the ayghte preacher of rightewesnes/ and brought in the flud into the worlde off the vngodly/ Nether spared the olde worlde but saved Noe the ryghte preacher of rightewesnes/ and brought in the flud vpon the worlde of the vngodly/ nether spared the olde worlde/ but saued Noe the eyght preacher of rightewesnes/ & brought in the flud vpon the worlde of the vngodly/ Nether spared the olde worlde, but saued Noe the preacher of righteousnes him selfe beynge ye eight, and brought the floude vpō the worlde of the vngodly:
2:6 and turned the cities of Zodom and Gomor into asshes: overthrewe them/ damned them/ ād made them an ensample vnto all that after shulde live vngodly. and turned the cities of zodom and Gomor into asshes: overthrewe them/ damned thē/ & made on them an ensample vnto all yt after shuld live vngodly. and turned the cities of zodom and Gomor into asshes: ouerthrewe thē/ damned them/ & made on them an ensample vnto all that after shulde lyue vngodly. And turned the cities of Sodom and Gomor in to asshes, ouerthrue them, damned them, and made on them an ensample, vnto those that after shulde lyue vngodly:
2:7 And iust Lot vexed with the vnclenly conversacion off the wicked/ delivered he. And iust Lot vexed with the vnclenly conversaciō of the wicked/ delivered he. And iust Lot vexed with the vnclenly conuersacion of the wycked/ deliuered he. And delyuered iust Loth which was vexed with the vngodly conuersacion of ye wicked.
2:8 For he beynge ryghteous and dwellynge amonge them/ in seynge and hearynge/ vexed his righteous soule from daye to daye with their vnrighteous dedes. For he beynge ryghteous and dwellynge amonge them/ in seynge and hearynge/ vexed his righteous soule from daye to daye with their vnlawfull dedes. For he beynge ryghteous and dwellinge amonge them/ in seynge and hearinge/ vexed his ryghteous soule from daye to daye with their vnlawfull dedes. For in so moch as he was righteous and dwelt amonge them, so that he must nedes se it and heare it, his righteous soule was greued from to daye to daye with their vnlaufull dedes.
2:9 The lorde knoweth howe to deliver the godly out off temptacion/ and howe to reserve the vniuste vnto the daye off iudgement for to be punnisshed: The lorde knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptacion/ and how to reserve the vniuste vnto the daye of iudgement for to be punisshed: The Lorde knoweth how to deliuer the godly out of temptacion/ and how to reserue the vniuste vnto the daye of iudgement for to be punisshed: The LORDE knoweth how to delyuer the godly out of tentacion, and how to reserue the vniust vnto the daye of iudgment for to be punyshed:
2:10 namly them that walke after the flesshe in the lust off vnclennes/ and despyse the ruelars. Presumpteous are they/ and stubborne and feare not to speake evyll off them that are in auctorite. namely them that walke after the flesshe in the lust of vnclennes/ and despyse the rulars. Presumpteous are they/ & stubborne and feare not to speake evyll of them that are in auctorite. namely them that walke after the flesshe in the lust of vnclennes/ and despyse the rulers. Presumpteous are they/ & stubborne and feare not to speake euyll of them that are in auctorite. but specially them that walke after the flesh in ye lust of vnclennes, and despyse the rulers: beynge presumptuous, stubborne, and feare not to speake euell of thē yt are in auctorite
2:11 When the angels which are gretter bothe in power ād myght/ receave not of the lorde raylynge iudgement agaynst them. When ye angels which are greater bothe in power and myght/ receave not of ye lorde raylynge iudgement agaynst them. When the angels which are greater bothe in power and myght/ receaue not of the lorde raylinge iudgemēt agaynst them. whā the angels yet which are greater both in power and might, beare not that blasphemous iudgment agaynst them of the LORDE.
2:12 But these as brute beastes/ naturally made to be taken and destroyed/ speake evyll of that they knowe not/ and shall perisshe through their owne destruccion/ But these as brute beastes/ naturally made to betaken and destroyed/ speake evyll of that they knowe not/ and shall perisshe through their awne destruccion/ But these as brute beastes/ naturally made to betaken and destroyed/ speake euyll of that they knowe not/ and shall perysshe through their awne destruccion/ But these are as ye brute beestes, which naturally are broughte forth to be takē and destroyed: speakynge euell of yt they knowe not, and shal perishe in their owne destruccion,
2:13 and receave the revarde of vnrightewesnes. They count it pleasure to live deliciously for a season. Spottes they are and filthynes: and off you they make a mockyngstoke feastynge togedder ī their deceavable wayes: and receave the rewarde of vnrightewesnes. They count it pleasure to live deliciously for a season. Spottes they are & filthines/ livinge at pleasure & in disceaveable wayes feastynge with you: and receaue the rewarde of vnrightewesnes. They count it pleasure to liue deliciously for a season. Spottes they are & filthines/ liuinge at pleasure/ & in disceaueable wayes feastinge with you: and so receaue ye rewarde of vnrighteousnes. They counte it pleasure to lyue deliciously for a season: Spottes are they and fylthynes: lyuynge at pleasure and in disceaueable wayes: feastynge wt that which is youres,
2:14 havynge eyes full of advoutrie/ and that cānot cease to synne/ begylynge vnstable soules. Hertes they have exercysed with coveteousnes. They are cursed chyldren/ havinge eyes full of advoutrie & that cānot cease to synne/ begylynge vnstable soules. Hertes they have exercised wt coveteousnes. They are cursed chyldren/ hauinge eyes full of aduoutrie & that cānot cease to sinne/ begilinge vnstable soules. Hertes they haue exercised with coueteousnes. They are cursed chyldren/ hauynge eyes full of aduoutrye, and cā not ceasse from synne, entysinge vnstable soules: hauynge an hert exercysed wt couetousnes: they are cursed children,
2:15 and have forsaken the right waye/ and are gone astraye folowynge the waye of Balam the sonne of Bosor/ which loved the rewarde of vnrightewesnes: & have forsaken the right waye/ & are gone astraye folowinge ye waye of Balam the sonne of Bosor/ which loved the rewarde of vnrightewesnes: & haue forsaken the ryght waye & are gone astraye folowinge the waye of Balam the sonne of Bosor/ which loued the rewarde of vnrightewesnes: and haue forsaken the righte waye, and are gone astraye: folowinge the waye of Balaam the sonne of Bosor, which loued the rewarde of vnrighteousnes:
2:16 but was rebuked of his iniquitie. The tame and dom beast/ speakynge with mānes voyce forbade the folisshnes of the prophet. but was rebuked of his iniquitie. The tame & dōme beast/ speakinge with mānes voyce/ forbade the folisshnes of the Prophete. but was rebuked of his iniquitie. The tame & dōme beast/ speakinge with mānes voyce/ forbade the folisshenes of the Prophete. but was rebuked of his iniquyte. The tame and domme beast spake with mās voyce, & forbad the foolishnes of ye prophet.
2:17 These are welles without water/ and cloudes caried about of a tempest/ to whone the myst off darcknes is reserved for ever. These are welles without water/ & cloudes caried about of a tēpest/ to whome the myst of darcknes is reserved for ever. These are welles without water/ & cloudes caried about of a tēpest/ to whom the myst of dercknes is reserued for euer. These are welles without water, & cloudes caried aboute of a tēpest: to whō ye myst of darknesse is reserued for euer.
2:18 For when they have spoken the swellynge wordes off vanytie/ they begyle with wantannes thorowe the lustes off the flesshe them that were clene escaped: butt nowe are wrapped in errours. For when they have spokē the swellinge wordes of vanytie/ they begyle wt wantānes thorowe ye lustes of the flesshe/ them that were clene escaped: but now are wrapped in errours. For when they haue spokē the swellinge wordes of vanytie/ they begyle with wantannes thorowe that lustes of the flesshe/ them that were clene escaped: but now are wrapped in errours. For they speake ye proude wordes of vanite, vnto ye vttemost, and entyse thorow wantannes vnto ye luste of the flesh, euen them that were cleane escaped, and now walke in erroure:
2:19 They promys them libertie/ and are them selves the bonde servauntſ of corrupciō. For of whō soever a man is over com/ vnto the same is he in bōdage. They promys them libertye/ & are them selves ye bonde servauntſ of corrupcion. For of whom soever a man is over come/ vnto ye same is he in bondage. They promys them libertie/ & are them selues the bonde seruauntes of corrupcion. For of whō soeuer a man is ouer come vnto the same is he in bondage. and promyse them libertye, where as they them selues are seruauntes off corrupcion. For off whom so euer a man is ouercome, vnto the same is he in bondage.
2:20 For yf they/ after they have escaped from the filthynes of the worlde thorowe the knowledge off the lorde/ and of the saviour Iesus Christ/ they are yet tangled agayne therin and over come: then is the latter ende worsse with them then the begynnynge. For yf they/ after they have escaped from the filthynes of the worlde thorowe ye knowledge of ye Lorde & of ye saviour Iesus Christ/ they are yet tāgled agayne therin & overcome: then is ye latter ende worsse with them then the beginninge. For yf they/ after they haue escaped from the filthynes of the worlde thorow the knowledge of the Lorde and of the sauiour Iesus Christ/ they are yet tangled agayne therin and ouercome: then is the latter ende worsse with them then the beginninge. For yf they (after they haue escaped from the fylthynes of the worlde, thorow the knowlege of ye LORDE and Sauioure Iesus Christ) are yet tangled agayne therin and ouercome, then is the latter ende worse vnto them then the begynnynge.
2:21 For it had bene better for them/ not to have knowne the waye of righteousnes/ then after they have knowen it/ to turne from the holy cōmaundment geven vnto them. For it had bene better for thē/ not to have knowne ye waye of righteousnes then after they have knowē it/ to turne frō the holy cōmaundmēt gevē vnto them. For it had bene better for them/ not to haue knowne the waye of righteousnes then after they haue knowen it/ to turne from the holy cōmaundement geuē vnto them. For it had bene better for them, not to haue knowne the waye of righteousnes, then after they haue knowne it, to turne from the holy commaundemēt, that was geuen vnto them.
2:22 Hit is happened vnto them accordynge to the true proverbe: The dogge is turned to his vomet agayne/ and the sowe after she is wesshed/ is returned to her wallowynge in the myre. It is happened vnto them accordinge to the true proverbe: The dogge is turned to his vomet agayne/ and the sow that was wesshed/ to her wallowynge in the myre. It is happened vnto thē accordinge to the true prouerbe: The dogge is turned to his vomet agayne/ & the sow that was wesshed/ to her wallowinge in the myrre. It is happened vnto them acordynge vnto the true prouerbe: ye dogg is turned to his vomyte agayne: and ye sowe that was wasshed, vnto hir walowynge in the myre.

For sence ye fathers dyed/ all thingſ cōtinue in ye same estate wher in they were at ye begynninge. and saye. Where is the promes of his cōminge?
