1:5 For oure gospell cam not vnto you in worde only/ but also in power/ ād also ī the holy gost ād in moche certaynte/ as ye knowe howe that we behaved oure selves amonge you/ for youre sakſ. For oure gospell came not vnto you in worde only/ but also in power/ and also in the holy gost and in moche certayntie/ as ye knowe after what maner we behaued oure selves amonge you/ for youre sakes. For oure Gospell came not vnto you in worde only/ but also in power/ & also in the holy goost and in moche certayntie/ as ye knowe after what maner we behaued oure selues amonge you/ for youre sakes. for oure Gospell hath not bene with you in worde onely, but both in power and in the holy goost, and in moch certayntie, as ye knowe after what maner we were amonge you for youre sakes.

For from you sounded out the worde of the Lorde/ not in Macedonia and in Achaia only: but youre fayth also which ye have vnto God/ spred her selfe abroade in all quartars/ so greatly that it nedeth not vs to speake eny thinge at all. For frō you was the worde of the LORDE noysed out, not onely in Macedonia & Achaia, but ī all quarters also is yor faith ī God spred abrode so that it nedeth not vs to speake eny thinge at all.

2:1 FOr ye youre selves brethren knowe of oure entraūce in vnto you/ howe that it was not in vayne: FOr ye youre selves knowe brethren of oure entraunce in vnto you/ howe that it was not in vayne: FOr ye youre selues knowe brethren of oure entraunce in vnto you/ how that it was not in vayne: FOr ye youre selues (brethren) knowe of oure intraūce vnto you, how that it was not in vayne,
2:2 but even after that we had suffered before and where shamfully entreated at Phillippos (as ye wele knowe) thē were we bolde in oure God to speake vnto you the gospell off God/ with moche strivynge. but even after that we had suffered before and were shamfully entreated at Phillippos (as ye well knowe) then were we bolde in oure God to speake vnto you the gospell of God/ with moche strivynge. but euen after that we had suffered before and were shamfully entreated at Philippos (as ye well knowe) then were we bolde in oure God to speake vnto you the Gospell of God/ with moche striuynge. but as we had suffred afore, & were shamefully intreated at Philippos (as ye knowe) we were bolde in oure God, to speake vnto you ye Gospel of God with moch stryuynge.
2:3 Oure exhortacion was not to brynge you to errour/ nor yet to vnclēnes/ nether was it with gyle: Oure exhortacion was not to brynge you to erroure/ nor yet to vnclennes/ nether was it with gyle: Oure exhortacion was not to bringe you to erroure/ nor yet to vnclennes/ nether was it with gyle: For oure exhortacion was not to brynge you to erroure ner yet to vnclennes, nether was it with gyle:
2:4 but as we were alowed of God/ that the gospell shulde be cōmytted vnto vs: even so we speake/ not as though we entēded to please men/ butt God/ which trieth oure hertes. but as we were alowed of God/ that the gospell shuld be cōmitted vnto vs: even so we speake/ not as though we entended to please men/ but God/ which trieth oure hertes. but as we were alowed of God/ that the Gospell shuld be committed vnto vs: euen so we speake/ not as though we entended to please men/ but God/ which tryeth oure hertes. but as we are alowed of God, that the Gospell shulde be commytted vnto vs to preache, euen so we speake, not as though we wolde please mē, but God, which tryeth oure hertes.
2:5 Nether was oure conversacion at eny tyme with flatterynge wordes (as ye wele knowe) nether in cloked coveteousnes/ God is recorde: Nether was oure conversacion at eny tyme wt flatterynge wordes/ as ye well knowe nether in cloked coveteousnes/ God is recorde: Nether was oure conuersacion at eny tyme with flatterynge wordes/ as ye well knowe nether in cloked coueteousnes/ God is recorde: For we haue not gone aboute with flateringe wordes (as ye knowe) ner wayted for oure owne profit (God is recorde)
2:6 nether sought we prayse of men/ nether of you/ nor yet of eny wother/ when we myght have bene chargeable/ as the apostles of Christ: nether sought we prayse of men/ nether of you/ nor yet of eny other/ when we myght have bene chargeable/ as the apostles of Christ nether sought we prayse of men/ nether of you/ nor yet of eny other/ when we myght have bene chargeable/ as the Apostles of Christ nether soughte we prayse of men, nether of you ner of eny other, whan we mighte haue bene chargeable vnto you as the Apostles off Christ,
2:7 but we were tender amonge you/ even as a norsse cheressheth her children/ but we were tender amonge you/ even as a norsse cheressheth her children/ but we were tender amonge you/ euen as a norsse cheressheth her chyldren/ but we were tender amonge you. Like as a norsse cherisheth hir children,
2:8 so was oure affeccion to warde you oure goode will was to have dealte vnto you/ not the gospell off God only: but also oure owne soules/ be cause ye were deare vnto vs. so was oure affeccion towarde you/ oure good will was to have dealte vnto you/ not the gospell of God only: but also oure awne soules/ because ye were deare vnto vs. so was oure affeccion towarde you/ oure good will was to haue dealte vnto you/ not the Gospell of God only: but also oure awne soules/ because ye were deare vnto vs. euen so had we hartely affeccion towarde you, and wolde with good wyl haue dealte vnto you, not onely the Gospell of God, but oure lyues also, because ye were deare vnto vs.
2:9 Ye remember brethren oure laboure and travayle. For we labored daye and nyght/ be cause we wolde not be greveous vnto eny off you/ and preached you the gospell of God. Ye remember brethrē oure laboure & travayle. For we laboured daye & nyght/ because we wolde not be greveous vnto eny of you/ & preached vnto you ye gospell of God. Ye remember brethren oure laboure/ and trauayle. For we laboured daye and nyght because we wolde not be greueous vnto eny of you/ and preached vnto you the Gospell of God. Ye remembre brethren oure laboure and trauayle. For daye and nighte wroughte we (because we wolde not be chargeable vnto eny of you) and preached the Gospell of God amonge you.
2:10 Ye are witnesses/ and so is god/ howe holyly and iustly (that nomā coulde blame vs) we behaved oure selves amōge you that beleve/ Ye are witnesses/ & so is god/ how holyly & iustly & vnblameable we behaved oure selves amonge you that beleve: Ye are witnesses/ and so is God/ how holyly and iustly and vnblameable we behaued oure selues amonge you that beleue: Ye are witnesses, and so is God, how holyly and iustly and vnblameable we behaued oure selues amōge you that beleue:
2:11 as ye knowe howe that we exhorted and comforted/ and besought every one off you/ as a father his children/ as ye knowe how that we exhorted and comforted and besought every one of you/ as a father his childrē/ as ye knowe how that we exhorted and comforted and besought euery one of you/ as a father his chyldren/ as ye knowe, how that as a father his children, euen so exhorted we and comforted and besoughte euery one of you,
2:12 that ye wolde walke worthy of the lorde/ which hath called you vnto his kyngdom and glory. that ye wolde walke worthy of God/ which hath called you vnto his kyngdome and glory. that ye wolde walke worthy of God/ which hath called you vnto his kyngdome and glory. that ye wolde walke worthely before God, which hath called you vnto his kyngdome & glory.
2:13 For this cause thanke we god with out ceasynge/ be cause that whē ye receaved of vs the worde/ wherwith God was preached/ ye receaved it not as the worde of man: but even as it was in dede/ the worde of God/ which worketh in you that beleve. For this cause thanke we god with out ceasynge/ because that when ye receaved of vs the worde wherwith God was preached/ ye receaved it not as the worde of man: but even as it was in dede/ the worde of God/ which worketh in you that beleve. For this cause thanke we God with out ceasynge/ because that when ye receaued of vs the worde wherwith God was preached/ ye receaued it not as the worde of man: but euen as it was in dede/ the worde of God/ which worketh in you that beleue. For this cause thanke we God without ceassynge, because that whā ye receaued of vs the worde of the preachinge of God, ye receaued it not as ye worde of men, but (euē as it is of a trueth) the worde of God, which worketh in you that beleue.
2:14 For ye brethrē did counterfaite the congregacions of god which in iewey are in Christ Iesu: for ye have suffered lyke thyngſ of youre kynsmen/ as we oure selves have suffered of the Iewes/ For ye brethrē became folowers of the congregacions of god which in Iewry are in Christ Iesu: for ye have suffered lyke thynges of youre kynsmen as we oure selves have suffered of the Iewes. For ye brethren became folowers of the congregacions of God which in Iewry are in Christ Iesu: for ye haue suffered lyke thinges of youre kynsmen/ as we oure selues haue suffered of the Iewes. For ye brethren are become the folowers off the congregacions off God which in Iewry are in Christ Iesu, so that ye haue suffred euen like thinges of youre kynsmen, as they haue suffred of the Iewes.
2:15 which as they kylled the lorde Iesus and their one prophetſ/ even so have they persecuted vs/ and God they please not/ and are contrary to all men: Which as they kylled the lorde Iesus & their awne prophetes/ even so have they persecuted vs/ and God they please not/ & are contrary to all men Which as they kylled the Lorde Iesus & their awne Prophetes/ euen so haue they persecuted vs/ and God they please not/ and are contrary to all men Which as they put the LORDE Iesus to death, and their awne prophetes, euen so haue they persecuted vs also, and please not God, and are cōtrary to all men,
2:16 and forbid vs to preache vnto the gentyls/ that they myght be saved/ to fulfill their synnes: For the wrath off God is come on them/ even to the vtmost. and forbid vs to preache vnto the gentyls/ that they myght besaved/ to fulfill their synnes all waye. For the wrath of God is come on them/ even to the vtmost. and forbyd vs to preache vnto the Gentyls/ that they myght be saued/ to fulfill their synnes all waye. For the wrath of God is come on them/ euen to the vtmost. forbyddinge vs to speake vnto the Heythen that they mighte be saued, to fulfill their synnes allwaye: for the wrath is come vpon them allready vnto ye vttemost.
2:17 For as moch brethren as we are kept from you for a season/ as concernynge the bodyly presence but not ī the herte/ we enforsed the more to se you personally with great desire/ For as moch brethren as we are kept from you for a season/ as concernynge the bodyly presence/ but not in the herte/ we enforsed the more to se you personally with great desire. For as moch brethren as we are kept from you for a season/ as concernynge the bodyly presence/ but not in the herte/ we enforsed the more to se you personally with great desyre. But we (brethren) for as moch as we haue bene kepte from you for a season, as concernynge the bodely presence, but not in the hert, we haue haisted the more with greate desyre to se you personally.
2:18 and therfore we wolde have come vnto you/ I Paul once and agayne: but Satan withstode vs. And therfore we wolde have come vnto you/ I paul once and agayne: but Satan with stode vs. And therfore we wolde haue come vnto you/ I paul once and agayne: but Satan withstode vs. Therfore wolde we haue come vnto you, (I Paul) two tymes, but Sathan withstode vs.
2:19 For what is oure hope or ioye/ or croune off reioysynge? are not ye in the presence off oure lorde Iesus Christ at his commynge? For what is oure hope or ioye/ or croune of reioysynge? are not ye it in the presence of oure lorde Iesus Christ at his cōmynge? For what is oure hope or ioye/ or croune of reioysynge? are not ye it in the presence of oure Lorde Iesus Christ at his commynge? For who is oure hope, or ioye, or crowne of reioysinge? are not ye it in ye sighte of oure LORDE Iesus Christ at his commynge?
2:20 yes ye are oure glory and ioye. yes ye are oure glory and ioye. yes ye are oure glory and ioye. Yes ye are oure prayse and ioye.
