8:1 SAul had pleasure in his deeth. And at that tyme ther was a great persecucion agaynst the congregacyō whych was at Ierusalē/ and they were all scattered abroade thorowout ye regiōs of Iury & Samaria/ except ye Apostles. SAUL consented vnto his deeth. 8:3 But Saul made hauocke of the congregaciō/ and entred into euery house & drewe out bothe man & womā/ & thrust thē into preson. 8:7 For vnclene spretes cryinge wt loude voyce/ came out of many yt were possessed of thē. And many taken with palsyes/ and many that halted/ were healed. 8:9 And ther was a certayne mā called Simon/ which before tyme in ye same citie/ vsed witchecrafte & bewitched the people of Samarie/ sayinge that he was a man that coulde do greate thynges. But ther was a certayne man called Simon, which before tyme in the same cytie vsed witchecrafte, and bewitched the people of Samarye, sayinge that he was a man that coulde do greate thynges. 8:10 Whom they regarded/ frō the lest to ye greatest/ sayinge: this felow is ye great power of God. 8:12 But assone as they beleued Philippes preachynge of the kyngdome of God & of ye name of Iesu Christ/ they were baptysed bothe men and wemen. 8:14 When ye Apostles which were at Ierusalem hearde saye that Samaria had receaued the worde of God: they sent vnto thē Peter & Iohn. 8:16 For as yet he was come on none of thē: but they were baptised only in ye name of Christ Iesu. For as yet he was come on none of them: but they were baptised onely in the name of Christ Iesu. For as yet he was come on none of them: But they were baptised only in the name of Christ Iesu. (For as yet, he was come on none of them, but they were baptized only in the Name of our Lord Iesus.)

8:19 saying: geue me also this power/ yt on whom soeuer I put the handes/ he maye receaue the holy goost. sayinge: geue me also this power, that on whom soeuer I put the handes, he maye receaue the holy goost. sayinge: Geue me also this power, that on whom soeuer I put the hondes, he maye receaue the holy goost. 8:20 Then sayde Peter vnto hym: thy money peryshe wyth the/ because thou wenest that the gifte of God maye be obteyned with money. But Peter sayde vnto hym: thy money perysshe with the, because thou hast thought that the gyfte of God maye be obteyned with money. Then sayde Peter vnto him: thy monye perysh with the, because thou wenest that the gifte of God maye be obteyned with money. Then sayd Peter vnto hym, Thy money perishe with thee, because thou wenest that the gift of God may be obteined with money.
8:21 Thou hast nether parte nor fellowshyppe in thys busynes. For thy hert is not ryght in the syght of God. Thou hast nether parte, nor fellowshyppe in thys busynes. 8:22 Repent therfore of this thy wickednes/ & praye God that the thought of thyne hert maye be forgeuen the. 8:25 And they whē they had testified & preached ye worde of ye Lord/ returned toward Ierusalē & preached the gospell in many cities of ye Samaritās. And they when they had testyfyed and preached the worde of God, returned toward Ierusalem, and preached the gospell in many cytyes of the Samaritans. 8:26 Then the Angel of the Lorde spake vnto Philip sayinge: aryse & go towarde midde daye vnto the waye that goeth doune from Ierusalem vnto Gaza which is in the desert. The Angel of the Lord, spake unto Philip, sayinge: aryse, and go toward the south, vnto the waye that goeth downe from Ierusalem vnto the cyte of Gaza, which is in the desert. Then the angell of the Lorde spake vnto Philip sayinge: aryse and go towarde midde daye vnto the waye that goeth doune frō Ierusalem vnto Gaza which is in the desert. Then the Angel of the Lord spake vnto Philip, saying, Aryse and go towarde the south vnto the way that goeth doune from Ierusalem vnto Gaza, which is leaft waste.
8:27 And he arose and wēt on. And beholde a man of Ethiopia which was a chamberlayne/ and of greate auctorite wyth Candace quene of the Ethiophians/ and had the rule of all her treasure/ came to Ierusalē for to praye. And he arose, and went on. And beholde: a man of Ethiopia (a chamberlayne, and of greate auctoryte wyth Candace quene of the Ethiophians, and had the rule of all her treasure) came to Ierusalem for to worshyppe. And he arose and wēt on. And beholde a man of Ethiopia which was a chamberlayne, & of greate auctorite with Candace quene of the Ethiopians, and had the rule of all her treasure, came to Ierusalem for to praye. And he arose and went on: and beholde a certeyne Eunuche of Ethiopia Candaces the Quene of the Ethiopians chief Gouuemer, who had the rule of all her threasure, came to Ierusalem for to worshyp.
8:28 And as he returned home agayne syttynge in hys charet/ he rede Esay the Prophete. And as he returned home agayne syttynge in hys charet, he red Esay the Prophete. And as he returned home agayne sittinge in his charet, he rede Esay the Prophete. And as he returned home agayne syttyng in his charet, he read Esai the Prophete.
8:29 Then the sprete sayde vnto Philip: go neare & ioyne thy selfe to yonder charet. Then the sprete sayde vnto Philip: go neare, and ioyne thy selfe to yonder charet. And Philip ranne to hym, and heard him reade the Prophet Esay, sayde: Understandest thou what thou readest? And Philip ranne thether, and heard him read the Prophet Esaie, and sayd, But vnderstandest thou what thou readest?
8:31 And he sayd: how can I/ except I had a gyde? And he desyred Philip that he wold come vp & sit with him. And he sayde: how can I, except I had a gyde? And he desyred Philip, that he wold come vp, and syt with hym. And he sayd: how can I, except I had a gyde? And he desyred Philip that he wold come vp & sit with him. 8:32 The tenoure of ye scripture which he redde was this. He was ledde as a shepe to be slayne: & lyke a lambe dōme before his sherer/ so opened he not hys mouth. 8:33 Because of his humblenes/ he was not estemed: who shal declare his generaciō? for his lyfe is taken frō the erthe. M Because of his humblenes, he was not estemed. 8:34 The chamberlayne answered Philip & sayde: I praye the/ of whom speaketh the Prophet thys? of him selfe/ or of some other man? 8:35 And Philip opened his mouth/ & beganne at the same scrypture/ & preached vnto hym Iesus Philip opened his mouth, and beganne at the same scripture, and preached vnto hym Iesus. 8:36 And as they went on their waye/ they came vnto a certayne water/ & the chamberlayne sayde: Se here is water/ what shall let me to be baptised? 8:37 Philip sayde vnto him: If thou beleue with all thyne hert/ thou mayst. He answered and sayde: I beleue that Iesus Christ is the sonne of God. Philip sayde vnto hym: If thou belene wyth all thyne hert, thou mayst. And he answered and sayde, I beleue, that Iesus Christ is the sonne of God. Philip sayde vnto him: Yf thou beleue with all thyne hert, thou mayst. He answered and sayde: I beleue that Iesus Christ is the sonne of God. And Philip sayd vnto him, If thou beleuest with all thyne heart, thou mayst. And he answered and sayd, I beleue that Iesus Christe is the Sonne of God.
8:38 And he cōmaunded the charet to stande styll. And they went doune bothe into the water: bothe Philip and also the chamberlayne/ and he baptised him. And he commanded the charet to stande styll. And they went downe both into the water: bothe Philip and also the chamberlayne. and he baptysed hvm. And he commaunded the charet to stonde still. And they went doune bothe into the water: bothe Philip & also the chamberlayne, and he baptised him. 8:39 And assone as they were come out of the water/ the sprete of ye Lorde caught awaye Philip/ that the chāberlayne sawe him no moore. And he wēt on his waye reioysinge: And assone as they were come out of the water, the sprete of the Lorde caught away Philip, and the chamberlayne sawe hym nomoore. And he went on hys waye reioysinge. And assone as they were come out of the water, the sprete of the Lorde caught awaye Philip, that the chāberlayne sawe him no moore. And he went on his waye reioysinge: And assone as they were come out of the water the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the Eunuche sawe him no more, and he went on his way reioysing.
8:40 but Philip was founde at Azotus. And he walked thorowout the countre preachynge in their cities/ tyll he came to Cesarea. but Philip was founde at Azotus.
