Acts: Chapter 6b

6:1 IN those dayes as the nombre of the disciples grewe/ ther arose a grudge amonge the Grekes agaynst ye Hebruſ/ because their wyddowſ were despised in the dayly ministringe. IN those dayes (whan the nombre of the discyples grew) ther arose a grudge amonge the Grekes against the Hebrues, because their wyddowes were despysed in the dayly mynistracyon. 6:2 Then the twelue called the multitude of the discyples to gether & sayde: it is not mete that we shuld leaue the worde of God and serue at ye tables. 6:3 Wherfore brethrē loke ye out amōge you seuen men of honest reporte & full of the holy goost and wysdome/ whych we maye apoynte to this nedfull busynſ. s Wherfore brethren loke ye out amonge you seuen men of honest reporte, and ful of the holy goost and wysdome, to whom we maye committe this busynes. 6:5 And ye sayinge pleased the whoale multitude. And they chose Steuen a man full of fayth and of the holy goost/ & Philip/ & Prochorus/ and Nichanor/ and Timon/ and Permenas/ and Nicholas a conuerte of Antioche. And the sayinge pleased the whole multitude. 6:6 Which they set before the Apostles/ and they prayed and layde their handes on them. These were set before the Apostles: and whan they had prayed they layde their handes on them. 6:7 And the worde of God encreased/ and the noumbre of the disciples multiplied in Ierusalem greatly/ and a great company of the prestes were obedyent to the fayth. 6:9 Then ther arose certayne of the Synagoge/ which are called Lybertines & Syrenites/ & of Alexandria/ and Cilicia and Asia and dysputed with Steuen. Then ther arose certayne of the Synagoge, whych is called the Synagoge of the Lybertines and Syrenites, and of Alexandria, and of Celicia and of Asia disputyng with Steuen. 6:10 And they coulde not resist the wisdome/ & the sprete/ with which he spake. And they coulde not resist the wisdome, and the sprete, whych spake. And they coulde not resist the wysdome, & the sprete, with which he spake. But they could not resist the wisdom, and the Sprite, by which he spake.
6:11 Then sent they in men/ whych sayde: we haue hearde hym speake blasphemous wordes agaynst Moses/ and agaynst God. 6:13 & brought forth false witnesses which sayde. This man ceasyth not to speake blasphemous wordes agaynst this holy place and the lawe: and brought forth false wytnesses whych sayde: Toys man ceasyth not to speake blasphemous wordes agaynst thys holy place and the lawe, & brought forth false witnesses which sayde. This mā ceasith not to speake blasphemous wordes agaynst this holy place & the lawe: And broght forth false witnesses, which sayd, This man ceaseth not to speake blasphemous wordes against this Holy place, and the Lawe.
6:14 for we hearde hym saye: thys Iesus of Nazareth shall destroye thys place/ and shall chaunge the ordinaunces which Moses gaue vs. for we hearde hym saye: thys Iesus of Nazareth shall destroye thys place, and shall chaunge the ordinaunces whych Moses gaue vs. for we hearde him saye: this Iesus of Nazareth shall destroye this place, and shall chaunge the ordinaunces which Moses gaue vs. For we heard hym saye, that this Iesus of Nazaret shall destroye this place, and shal change the ordinances which Moses gaue vs.
6:15 And all that sate in the counsell/ loked stedfastly on him/ and sawe hys face as it had bene the face of an Angell. And all that sate in the counsell, loked stedfastly on hym, and sawe hys face as it had bene the fare of Angell. And all that sate in the coūsell, loked stedfastly on him, and sawe his face as it had bene the face of an angell. And all that sate in the Council loked stedfastly on him, and sawe his face as it had bene the face of an Angel.
