1 Peter: Chapter 4b

4:1 FOr as moche as Christ hath suffred for vs in the flesshe/ arme youre selues lyke wyse with the same mynde: for he which suffereth in the flesshe/ ceasith from synne/ FOR as moch then as Christ hath suffred for vs in the flesshe, arme ye youre selues lykewyse with the same mynde : for he whych suffereth in the flesshe, ceaseth from synne FOr as moche as Christ hath suffred for vs in the flesshe, arme youre selues lyke wyse with the same mynde: for he which suffereth in the flesshe, ceasith from synne, FORASMUCH them as Christe hath suffered for vs in the fleshe, arme your selues lykewyse with the same minde: which is, that he which hath suffered in the fleshe, hath ceased from synne,

4:3 For it is sufficient for vs that we haue spent the tyme that is past of the lyfe/ after the will of the gētyls/ walkinge in wantannes/ lustes dronkennes/ in eatinge/ drinkinge and in abominable ydolatrie. For it is sufficyent for vs, that we have spent the tyme that is past of the so after the wyll of the Gentyls, walkyngen wantannes, lustes, in excesse of wynes, in excesse of eatynge,in excesse of drinkyng (in dronkenesse)t inabomynable ydolatre. For it is sufficient for vs that we haue spent the tyme that is past of the lyfe, after the will of the gētyls, walkinge in wantannes, lustes dronkennes, in eatinge, drinkinge and in abominable ydolatrie. 4:5 which shall geuē a cōptes to him that is redy to iudge quycke and deed. who shall geue acomptes to him, that is read: to iudge quicke and deed. which shall geuē a cōptes to him that is redy to iudge quycke and deed. Which shal geue accomptes to hym, that is readv to iudge quicke and deade.
4:6 For vnto this purpose verely was the gospell preached vnto the (deed) that they shulde be condempned of men in the flesshe/ but shulde liue before God in the sprete. For vntothys purpose verely was the Gospell preached also vnto the deed, that they shuld be iudged lyke other men in the flesshe, but shuld lyue before God in the sprete. For vnto this purpose verely was the gospell preached vnto the (deed) that they shulde be condempned of men in the flesshe, but shulde liue before God in the sprete. For vnto this purpose was the Gospel preached also vnto the dead, that they myght be condemned, according to men, that is, in the fleshe, but might lyue according to God, that is, in the sprite.
4:7 The ende of all thinges is at honde. Be ye therfore discrete and sober/ that ye maye be apte to prayers. The ende of al thinges is at hande. Be ye therfore sober, and watch vito prayer. 4:8 But aboue all thinges haue feruent loue amonge you. For loue couereth the multitude of synnes. But aboue all thynges haue fer. uent loue among your selues. 4:10 As euery man hath receaued the gyfte/ minister the same one to another/ as good ministers of the manyfolde grace of God. As euery man hath re. ceaued the gyfte, euen so mynister the same one to another, as good mynisters of the manyfolde grace of God. As euery man hath receaued the gyfte, minister the same one to another, as good ministers of the manyfolde grace of God. 4:11 Yf eny man speake/ let him talke as though he spake the wordes of God. Yf eny man minister/ let him do it as of the abilite which God ministreth vnto him. That God in all thinges maye be glorified thorow Iesus Christ/ to whom be prayse and dominiō for euer & whyll the worlde stondeth. Amen. If eny man speake, let him talke as the words of God. If eny man mynister, let him do it as of the abylite, whych God mynystreth vnto hym. That God in all thynges maye be glorifyed thorow Iesus Christ, to whom be prayse and dominion for euer and euer. Amen. Yf eny man speake, let him talke as though he spake the wordes of God. Yf eny man minister, let him do it as of the abilite which God ministreth vnto him. That God in all thinges maye be glorified thorow Iesus Christ, to whom be prayse and dominiō for euer & whyll the worlde stondeth. Amen. If any roan speake, let hym talke as thoghe he spake the wordes of God. If any man mynister, let him do it as of the abilitie which God roinistreth vnto him: that God in all thynges may be glorified through Iesus Christ, to whom is prayse and dominion for euer, and euer. Amen.
4:12 Dearly beloued/ be not troubled in this heate/ which now is come amōge you to trye you/ as though some straūge thinge had happened vnto you: Dearly beloued, maruayll not that ye are proued by fyre (whych thyng is to trye you) as though some straunge thing happened vnto you: Dearly beloued, be not troubled in this heate, which now is come amōge you to trye you, as though some straūge thinge had happened vnto you: Dearely beloued, be not as strangers troubled in this trial by the fyre, which nowe is come amonge you to proue you, as thogh some strange thinge had happened vnto you:
4:13 but reioyce/ in as moche as ye are partetakers of Christes passions/ that when his glory appereth/ ye maye be mery and glad. but reioyce, in as moch as ye are partakers of Christes passyons: that when hys glory appeareth, ye maye be mery and glad. but reioyce, in as moche as ye are partetakers of Christes passions, that when his glory appereth, ye maye be mery and glad. 4:14 If ye be rayled vpon for the name of Christ happie are ye. For the sprete of glory and the sprete of God resteth vpon you. On their parte he is euyll spoken of: but on youre parte he is glorified. If ye be rayled vpon for the name of Christ, happie are ye. For the glory and the sprete of God resteth vpon you. 4:15 Se that none of you suffre as a murtherer/ or as a thefe/ or an euyll doar/ or as a busybody in other mens matters. Se that none of you be punysshed as a murtherer, or as a thefe, or an euyll doar, or as a busybody in other mens matters. 4:16 If eny man suffre as a Christē man/ let him not be ashamed: but let him glorifie God on his behalfe. 4:17 For the tyme is come that iudgemēt must beginne at the housse of God. If it fyrst beginne at vs/ what shall the ende be of them which beleue not the gospell of God? For the tyme is come, that iudgement must begynne at the house of God. If it fyrst begynne at vs, what shall the ende be of them, whych beleue not the Gospell of God? 4:18 And yf the righteous scasly be saued: where shall the vngodly & the synner appere? And yf the ryghteous scarcely be saued: where shall the vngodly and the synner appeare? And yf the righteous scasly be saued: where shall the vngodly & the synner appere? And if the righteous scarsely be saued, where shal the vngodly and the synner appeare?
4:19 Wherfore let them that suffer accordinge to the will of God/ commit their soules to him with well doinge/ as vnto a faythfull creator. Wherfore, let them that are troubled accordyng to the wyll of God, commyt their soules to him with well doynge, as vnto a faythfull creator. Wherfore let them that suffer accordinge to the will of God, commit their soules to him with well doinge, as vnto a faythfull creator. Wherfore let them that suffer according to the will of God, commit their souls to him with well doing, as vnto a faithful Creator.
