4:02 and was xl. dayes tempted of the devyl. And in thoose dayes ate he no thinge: And when they were ended/ he after ward hongred. & was .xl. dayes tempted of the devyll. 4:03 And the devyll sayd vnto hī: yf thou be the sōne of god/ cōmaunde this stone that he be breed. And the devyll sayde vnto him: yf thou be the sonne of God/ cōmaunde this stone yt it be breed. And the deuyll sayde vnto him: yf thou be the sonne of God commaunde this stone that it be breed. And the deuell sayde vnto him: Yf thou be ye sonne of God, cōmaunde this stone, yt it be bred.
4:04 And Iesus answered hym/ sayinge: It ys written: man shall nott live by breed only/ butt by every worde of god. And Iesus answered hym sayinge: It is writtē: man shall not live by breed only/ but by every worde of God. And Iesus answered him sayinge: It is written/ man shall not liue by breed only/ but by euery worde of God. And Iesus answered & sayde vnto hī: It is wrytten: Man shal not lyue by bred onely, but by euery worde of God.
4:05 And the devyll toke him vppe into an hye mountayne/ and shewed hym all the kyngdoms of the erth even in the twincklynge of an eye. And ye devyll toke him vp into an hye moūtayne/ & shewed him all the kyngdoms of the worlde/ evē in ye twincklinge of an eye. And the deuyll toke him vp into an hye moūtayne/ and shewed him all the kyngdome of the worlde/ euen in the twincklynge of an eye. 4:06 And the devyl said vnto hī: all this power will I geve the everywhit/ ād the glori of thē (for that is delyvered to me/ ād to whō soever I wyll I geve it) And ye devyll sayde vnto him: all this power will I geve ye every whit & the glory of thē: for yt is delyvered to me/ and to whosoever I will/ I geve it. And the deuyll sayde vnto him: all this power will I geue the euery whit & the glory of them: for that is deliuered to me and to whosoeuer I will/ I geue it. & sayde vnto him: All this power wil I geue vnto the, and the glory therof, for it is geuē ouer vnto me, and I geue it, to whom I wil.
4:07 Yf thou therfore wilt worshippe me/ they shalbe all thyne. Yf thou therfore wilt worshippe me/ they shalbe all thyne. If thou therfore wilt worshippe me/ they shalbe all thyne. Yf thou now wilt worshippe me, they shal all be thine.
4:08 Iesus answered and sayd vnto hym: hēce frō me Satā. For hit is writtē. Thou shalt honour thy lorde god/ and hym only serve. Iesus answered him & sayde: hence from me Sathan. For it is written: Thou shalt honour the Lorde thy God/ and him only serve. Iesus answered him and sayde: hence from me Satan. For it is written: Thou shalt honoure the Lorde thy God and him only serue. Iesus answered him, and sayde: Auoyde fro me thou Satan. It is wrytten: Thou shalt worshippe the LORDE thy God, and him onely shalt thou serue.
4:09 And he caryed hym to hierusalem/ and set hī on a pynacle of the temple/ and sayd vnto him: Yf thou be the sonne of god/ cast thy silfe doune from hens. 4:12 Iesus answered and sayde vnto hym/ it ys sayd/ thou shalt nott tempte thy lorde god. Iesus answered and sayde to him/ it is sayd: thou shalt not tempte the Lorde thy God. 4:14 And Iesus retourned by the power of the sprete in to galile/ and the fame off hym went throwe oute all the regiō roūde aboute. 4:15 And he taught in there sinagoggſ/ and was cōmended off all men. And he taught in their synagoges/ and was commended of all men. And he taught in their synagoges and was commended of all men. And he taught in their synagoges, and was commended of euery man.
4:16 And he cam to nazareth where he was noursed/ and as hys custume was/ went in to the sinagog on the saboth daye/ and stode vppe for to rede. 4:18 The sprete off the lorde apon me/ be cause he hath annoynted me/ To preache the gospell to the povre he hath sent me/ And to heale them which are troubled in there hertes: To preache deliveraunce to the captive/ And sight to the blynde/ And frely to sett att liberte thē that are brused/ The sprete of the lorde vpon me/ because he hath annoynted me: to preache ye gospell to ye poore he hath sent me: and to heale the broken harted: to preache delyveraūce to the captive/ and sight to the blinde/ and frely to set at lyberte them that are brused/ The sprete of the Lorde vpō me/ because he hath annoynted me: to preache the Gospell to the poore he hath sent me: & to heale the broken harted: to preache deliueraunce to the captiue/ and syght to the blynde/ and frely to set at liberte them that are brused/ The sprete of the LORDE is with me, because he hath anoynted me: to preach the Gospell vnto ye poore hath he sent me: to heale the broken harted: to preach delyueraūce to the captyue, and sight to the blynde: and frely to set at liberty them that are brused:
4:19 And to preache the aceptable yeare off the lorde. & to preache the acceptable yeare of the Lorde. & to preache the acceptable yeare of the Lorde. and to preach the acceptable yeare of the LORDE.
4:20 And he cloosed the booke/ and gave it agayne to the minister/ and sate doune. And the eyes off all thatt were in the synagog/ were fastened on hym. 4:22 And all they bare hym witnes/ and wondred att the gracious wordes/ which proceded oute off hys mouth/ and sayde: Is not this Iosephs sonne? 4:23 And he sayde vnto them: Ye maye very wele saye vnto me this proverbe. Visicion/ heale thy silfe. Whatsoever we have herd done in Capernaum/ do the same here lyk wyse in thyne awne countre. And he sayde vnto them: Ye maye very well saye vnto me this proverbe: Phisicion/ heale thy silfe. Whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum/ do the same here lyke wyse in thyne awne countre. And he sayde vnto them: Ye maye very well saye vnto me this prouerbe: Phisicion/ heale thy selfe. Whatsoeuer we haue heard done in Capernaum/ do the same here lyke wyse in thyne awne countre. And he sayde vnto them: Doutles ye wyl saye vnto me this prouerbe: Phisician, heale thyself. For how greate thinges haue we herde done at Capernaū? Do the same here also in thine owne countre.
4:24 And he sayde: Verely I saye vnto you: No prophet is accepted in his awne countre. And he sayde/ verely I saye vnto you: No Prophet is accepted in his awne countre. And he sayde/ verely I saye vnto you: No Prophet is accepted in his awne countre. But he saide: Verely I saye vnto you: There is no prophet accepted in his owne countre.
4:25 But I tell you off a trueth/ Many wyddowes were in Israhell in the dayes off Helyas/ when hevyn was shet thre yeres and syxe monethes/ when greate fammisshment was troughoute all the londe/ But I tell you of a truth/ many wyddowes were in Israell in the dayes of Helias/ when hevyn was shet thre yeres & syxe monethes/ when greate fammisshemēt was throughoute all the londe/ But I tell you of a truth/ many wyddowes were in Israel in the dayes of Helyas/ when heuyn was shet thre yeres and sixe monethes/ when greate famyshment was through oute all the londe/ Neuertheles of a trueth I saye vnto you: There were many wedowes in Israel in ye tyme of Elias, whā the heauē was shut thre yeares and sixe monethes, and whan there was a greate derth in all the lande:
4:26 And vnto none off them was Helyas sent/ save in to sarepta besydſ sydon vnto a woman that was a widow. & vnto none of them was Helias sent/ save in to Sarephta besydes Sidon vnto a womā that was a widow. and vnto none of them was Helyas sent/ saue into Sarepta besydes Sidon vnto a woman that was a wydow. & to none of thē was Elias sent, but onely vnto Sarepta of the Sydonyans to a wedowe.
4:27 And many leppers were in israhel in the tyme off Heliseus the prophet/ and yet none off them was healed/ savynge Naaman off siria. And many lepers were in Israel in the tyme of Heliseus the Prophete: and yet none of them was healed/ savinge Naaman of Siria. And many lepers were there in Israel in the tyme of Eliseus ye prophet, and none of thē was clensed, saue onely Naaman of Syria.

4:29 and roose vppe/ and thrust hym oute of the cite/ ād ledde hym even vnto the edge of the hill/ wheron their cite was bilte/ to cast hym doune hedlynge. and roose vp/ and thrust him oute of the cite/ and ledde him evē vnto the edge of the hill/ wher on their cite was bilte/ to cast him doune hedlynge. & roose vp/ and thrust him oute of the cite/ and ledde him euen vnto the edge of the hyll/ wher on their cite was bylte/ to cast him doune hedlynge. And they rose vp, and thrust him out of the cite, and led him vp to the edge of the hyll whervpō their cite was buylded, that they might cast him downe headlynge.

4:31 ād cam in to capernaum a cite of galile/ and there taught them on the sabboth dayes. and came in to Capernaum a cyte of Galile/ & there taught thē on the Saboth dayes. and came into Capernaum a cite of Galile/ & there taught them on the Saboth dayes. and came to Capernaum a cite of Galile, and taught thē vpō the Sabbathes.

4:33 And in the sinagoge there was a man/ which had a foule sprete whith in him/ and cryed with aloude voyce/ And in the synagoge ther was a mā which had a sprete of an vncleane devell/ and cryed with aloude voyce And in the synagoge ther was a man which had a sprete of an vncleane deuell/ & cryed with aloude voyce sayinge: And in the Synagoge there was a man possessed with a foule deuell, & he cryed loude,
4:34 sayinge: let me alone/ what haste thou to do wyth vs/ thou Iesus off nazareth? Arte thou come to destroye vs? I knowe the what thou arte/ thou arte the holy mā of god. sayinge: let me alone/ what hast thou to do with vs/ thou Iesus of Nazareth? Arte thou come to destroye vs? I knowe the what thou arte/ evē the holy of God. let me alone/ what hast thou to do with vs/ thou lesus of Nazareth? Arte thou come to destroye vs? I knowe the what thou arte/ euen the holy of God. and sayde: Let me alone, what haue we to do wt the thou Iesus of Nazareth? Art thou come to destroye vs? I knowe ye who thou art, euen the Holy of God.
4:35 And Iesus rebuked hym/ sayinge: hoolde thy peace/ and come oute of hym. And the devyle threwe hī in the myddſ of them and cam oute of hym/ and hurt hym not. And Iesus rebuked him sayinge: holde thy peace/ and come oute of him. And the devyll threwe him in the myddes of them and came oute of him/ and hurt him not. 4:36 And feare cam on them all/ And they spake amonge them selves/ sayinge: what manner a thinge is this? For with auctorite ād power he cōmaundeth the foule spretſ and they come out? And feare came on them all/ and they spake amonge them selves sayinge: what māner a thinge is this? For with auctorite and power he commaundeth the foule spretſ/ and they come out? And feare came on them all and they spake amonge them selues sayinge: what manner a thinge is this? For with auctorite and power he commaundeth the foule spretes/ and they come out? And there came a feare ouer thē all, and they spake amonge them selues, and sayde: What maner of thinge is this? He commaundeth the foule spretes with auctorite and power, and they departe out.
4:37 And the fame of hym spreed abroode throwoute all placſ of the coūtre round aboute. And ye fame of him spreed abroode thorowoute all places of the countre round aboute. 4:38 And he roose vppe and cam oute of the synagoge/ and entred in to Simons housse. And Simons motherelawe was taken wyth a greate fever/ And they made intercessiō to him for her. And he roose vp & came oute of ye sinagoge/ & entred in to Simons housse. And Simōs motherelawe was takē with a greate fever/ & they made intercession to him for her. 4:39 And he stode over her/ and rebuked the fever: and hit leeft her. And immediatly she roose and ministred vnto them. And he stode over her/ & rebuked the fever: and it leeft her. 4:40 Whē the sun was doune/ all they that had sicke/ takē with divers deseases/ brought thē vnto hī: ād he layde his hondes on every won of thē/ ād healed thē. When the sonne was doune/ all they that had sicke takē with divers deseases/ brought them vnto him: & he layde his hondes on every one of them/ & healed them. 4:41 And devils also cā out of many of them/ cryinge and saying: Thou arte Christ the sonne of God. And he rebuked them/ and suffered them nott to speake/ for they knewe that he was Christ. 4:42 As sone as it was daye/ he departed and wēt awaye into a desert place/ and the people sought hym and cam to hym/ and kept hym that he shulde not departe from them. Assone as it was daye/ he departed & went awaye into a desert place/ & ye people sought him & came to him/ & kept him that he shuld not departe from thē. 4:43 And he sayde vnto them: I muste to other cities also preace the worde of God/ for therfore am I sent. And he sayde vnto thē: I muste to other cities also preache the kyngdome of God: for therfore am I sent. And he sayde vnto them: I muste to other cities also preache the kyngdome of God: for therfore am I sent. But he sayde vnto thē: I must preach the Gospell of ye kyngdome of God to other cities also: for there to am I sent.
4:44 And he preached in the synagogſ off Galile. And he preached in the synagoges of Galile. And he preached in the synagoges of Galile. And he preached in the synagoges of Galile.
