19:02 And the soudiers wonde a croune off thornes and put it on his heed. And they did on hym a purple garment/ And ye soudiers wounde a croune of thornes and put it on his heed. 19:03 and sayd: hayl kynge off the iewes. And they smote hym on the face. and sayd: hayll kynge of the Iewes: & they smote him on the face. and sayd: hayll kynge of the Iewes: & they smote him on the face. and sayde: Hayle kynge of the Iewes. And they smote him on the face.
19:04 Pilate went forthe agayne/ ād sayde vnto them: beholde I brynge him forth to you/ that ye maye knowe that I fynde no faute in hym. Pylate went forthe agayne/ & sayde vnto them: beholde I bringe him forth to you/ that ye maye knowe/ that I fynde no faute in him. 19:06 When the hye prestes and ministers sawe him/ they cryed sayinge: crucify him/ crucify hym. Pilate sayde vnto thē. Take ye hym and crucify hym: For I fynde no cause in hym. 19:07 The iewes answered hym: We have a lawe/ ād by oure lawe he ought to deye: be cause he made hym silfe the sonne of God. The Iewes answered him. 19:09 and went agayne ī to the iudgment housse/ and sayde vnto Iesus: whence arte thou? Iesus gave hym none answere. & went agayne into ye iudgment hall and sayde vnto Iesus: whence arte thou? But Iesus gave him none answere. & wēt agayne into the iudgement hall/ and sayde vnto Iesus: whence arte thou? But Iesus gaue him none answere. and wente agayne in to the comon hall, and sayde vnto Iesus: Whence art thou? But Iesus gaue him no answere.
19:10 Then sayde Pilate vnto hym: Speakest thou not vnto me? Knowest thou nott that I have power to crucify the/ and have power to loose the? Then sayde Pylate vnto him. Speakest thou not vnto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify the/ & have power to lowse the? Then sayde Pylate vnto him. Speakest thou not vnto me? Knowest thou not that I haue power to crucify the/ and haue power to lowse the? Thē sayde Pilate vnto him: Speakest thou not vnto me? Knowest thou not, yt I haue power to crucifye ye, & haue power to lowse ye?
19:11 Iesus answered: Thou coudest have no power att all agaynst me/ except it were geven vnto the from above. Therfore he that delivered me vnto the/ is moare in synne. Iesus answered: Thou couldest have no power at all agaynst me/ except it were geven the from above. Therfore he yt delyvered me vnto the/ is moare in synne. Iesus answered: Thou couldest haue no power at all agaynst me/ except it were geuen the from aboue. Therfore he that deliuered me vnto the/ is moare in synne. Iesus answered: Thou shuldest haue no power vpō me, yf it were not geuē the from aboue. Therfore he that delyuered me vnto ye, hath the more synne.
19:12 And from thēce forthe sought Pilate meanes to loose hym: but the iewes cryed sayinge: yf thou lett hym goo/ thou arte not Cesars frende. Whosoever maketh hī silfe a kynge/ is agaynst Cesar. And from thence forthe sought Pylate meanes to lowse him: but the Iewes cryed sayinge: yf thou let him goo/ thou arte not Cesars frende. For whosoever maketh hī selfe a kynge/ is agaynst Cesar And frō thence forth sought Pylate meanes to lowse him: but the Iewes cryed sayinge: yf thou let him go/ thou arte not Cesars frende. For whosoeuer maketh him selfe a kynge/ is agaynst Cesar. From that tyme forth Pilate sought meanes to lowse him. But the Iewes cryed, & sayde: Yf thou let him go, thou art not the Emperours frēde. For whosoeuer maketh himself kynge, is agaynst the Emperoure.
19:13 Whē Pilate herde that sayīge he brought Iesus forthe/ and sate doune to geve sentence/ in a place calted the pavement: Butt in the he brue tonge/ Gabbatha. When Pylate hearde yt sayinge/ he brought Iesus forthe/ and sate doune to geve sentēce/ in a place called the pavement: but in the Hebrue tonge/ Gabbatha. 19:14 (Hitt was the saboth even which falleth in the ester fest/ and aboute the sixte houre) And he sayde vnto the iewes: Beholde youre kynge. 19:15 They cryed/ awaye with hym/ awaye with hym/ Crucify hym. Pilate sayde vnto them: Shall I crucify youre kynge? The hye prestes answered: We have noo kynge but Cesar. They cryed/ awaye with him/ awaye with him/ crucify him. Pylate sayde vnto them. Shall I crucify youre kynge? The hye Prestes answered: we have no kynge but Cesar. They cryed/ awaye with him/ awaye with him/ crucify him. Pylate sayde vnto them: Shall I crucify youre kynge? The hye Prestes answered: we haue no kynge but Cesar. But they cryed: Awaye wt him, awaye wt him, crucifie him. Pilate saide vnto thē: Shal I crucifye yor kynge? The hye prestes answered: We haue no kynge but ye Emperor.
19:16 Thē delivered he hym vnto them to be crucified. And they toke Iesus and ledde hym awaye. Then delyvered he him vnto them/ to be crucified. And they toke Iesus and led him awaye. Then deliuered he him vnto them/ to be crucified. Thē delyuered he him vnto them, to be crucifyed. They toke Iesus, and led him awaye.
19:17 And he bare his crosse/ and went forthe into a place called the place off deed meñs sculles (which is named in hebrue/ Golgatha) And he bare his crosse/ and went forthe into a place called the place of deed mens sculles/ which is named in Hebrue/ Golgatha. 19:18 where they crucified hym. And with hym two other: on ether syde won/ and Iesus in the myddes. Where they crucified him and two other with him on ether syde one/ and Iesus in the myddes. 19:19 Pilate wrote his title/ and put it on the crosse: The wrytynge was/ Iesus off anzareth/ kynge off the iewes. And Pylate wrote his tytle/ and put it on the crosse. The writynge was/ Iesus of Nazareth/ kynge of the Iewes. And Pylate wrote his tytle/ and put it on the crosse. The wrytinge was: Iesus of Nazareth kynge of the Iewes. Pilate wrote a superscripcion, and set vpon the crosse. And there was wrytten: Iesus of Nazareth, kynge of the Iewes.
19:20 This tytle reed many off the iewes. For the place where Iesus was crucified/ was neye to the cite. And it was written in hebrue/ greke/ and latyn. This tytle reed many of the Iewes. 19:21 Then sayde the hye prestes off the iewes to Pilate: wryte nott/ kynge off the iewes: butt that he sayde/ I am kynge of the iewes. Then sayde the hye prestes of ye Iewes to Pylate: wryte not/ kynge of the Iewes: but that he sayde/ I am kynge of the Iewes. Then sayde the hye prestes of the Iewes to Pylate: wryte not/ kynge of the Iewes: but that he sayde/ I am kynge of the Iewes. Then sayde the hye prestes of the Iewes vnto Pilate: Wryte not kynge of the Iewes, but yt he sayde, I am kynge of the Iewes.
19:22 Pilate answered: what I have written/ that have I written. Pylate answered: what I have written/ that have I written. Pylate answered: what I haue writtē/ that haue I written. Pilate answered: What I haue wrytten, that haue I wrytten.
19:23 The soudiers/ when they had crucified Iesus/ toke his garmentſ ād made foure partes/ to every soudier a parte/ and also his coote. The coote was with out seme woven vppon thorowe and thorowe. 19:24 And they sayde won to another: Lett vs nott devyde it: butt cast lootes who shall have it. That the scripture myght be fulfilled which sayth: They parted my rayment amōge thē/ ād on my coote did cast lottes. And the soudiers did soche thynges in dede. And they sayde one to another. Let vs not devyde it: but cast loostſ who shall have it That the scripture myght be fulfilled which sayth. They parted my rayment amonge them/ and on my coote dyd cast lottes. And the soudiers dyd soche thinges in dede. And they sayde one to another. Let vs not deuyde it: but cast lotes who shall haue it. Then sayde they one to another: Let vs not deuyde it, but cast lottes for it, who shal haue it, that the scripture might be fulfilled, which sayeth: They haue parted my garmentes amonge them, and on my cote haue they cast lottes. This dyd the soudyers in dede.
19:25 There stode by the cross of Iesus his mother/ and his mothers sister/ Mary the wyfe off Cleophas/ and Mary magdalene. Ther stode by the crosse of Iesus his mother/ & his mothers sister/ Mary the wyfe of Cleophas/ and Mary Magdalene. And the soudiers dyd soche thinges in dede. Then stode by the crosse of Iesus his mother/ & his mothers sister/ Mary the wyfe of Cleophas/ & Mary Magdalene. There stode by the crosse of Iesus, his mother, and his mothers sister Mary, the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.
19:26 When Iesus sawe his mother/ ād the disciple stondynge whō he loved/ he sayde vnto his mother: Womā beholde thy sonne. When Iesus sawe his mother/ and the disciple stondynge whom he loved/ he sayde vnto his mother: woman beholde thy sonne. 19:27 Thē sayde he to the disciple: beholde thy mother. And from that houre the disciple toke her for his awne. Then sayde he to ye disciple: beholde thy mother. And frō that houre the disciple toke her for his awne. Then sayde he to the disciple: beholde thy mother. And from that houre the disciple toke her for his awne. Then sayde he to the disciple: beholde, that is thy mother. And from that houre the disciple toke her vnto him.
19:28 After that when Iesus perceaved that all thynges were performed/ that the scriptures myght be fulfyled/ he sayde: I thyrst. 19:29 There stode a vessell full off veneger by. They filled a sponge with venegre/ and wonde it about with ysoppe/ and put it to his mougth. Ther stode a vessell full of veneger by. 19:30 As sone as Iesus had receaved of the venegre/ he sayd: It is fynnesshed/ ād bowed his heed/ ād gave vppe the goost. 19:31 The iewes thē be cause it was the saboth evē that the bodyes shuld not remayne apō the crosse ō the saboth daye (For that saboth daye was an hye daye) besought Pilate that their legges myght be broken and that they myght be taken doune. The Iewes then because it was the saboth evē/ that ye bodyes shuld not remayne apon ye crosse on ye saboth daye (for that saboth daye was an hye daye) besought Pylate that their legges myght be broken & that they myght be taken doune. The Iewes then because it was the saboth euen/ that the bodyes shuld not remayne vpō the crosse on the saboth daye (for that saboth daye was an hye daye) besought Pylate that their legges might be brokē/ & that they might be taken doune. The Iewes then, for so moch as it was the daye of preparinge, that ye bodies shulde not remayne vpon the crosse on the Sabbath, (for ye same Sabbath daye was greate) besought Pilate, that their legges might be broken, and that they might be taken downe.
19:32 Thē cam the soudiers and brake the legges of the fyrst/ and of the other which was crucified with Iesus. 19:34 butt one off the soudiers with a speare/ thrust hym into the syde/ ād forth with cam there out blude and water. but one of the soudiers with a speare/ thrust him into the syde/ & forthwith came ther out bloud and water. but one of the soudiers with a speare/ thrust him in to the syde/ & forthwith came ther out bloud and water. but one of the soudyers opened his syde with a speare. And immediatly there wente out bloude and water.
19:35 And he that sawe it bare recorde/ and his recorde is true. And he knoweth that he sayth true that ye myght beleve also. And he that sawe it/ bare recorde/ & his recorde is true. 19:36 These thīges were done that the scripture shulde be fulfilled: Ye shall not breake a boone of him. 19:38 After that/ Ioseph off Aramathia (whych was a disciple of Iesus: but secretly for feare off the iewes) besought Pilate that he myght take doune the boddy off Iesus. And Pilate gave hī licence. After that/ Ioseph of Aramathia (which was a disciple of Iesus: but secretly for feare of ye Iewes) besought Pylate that he myght take doune the body of Iesus. And Pylate gave him licence. After that/ Ioseph of Aramathia (which was a disciple of Iesus: but secretly for feare of the Iewes) besought Pylate that he might take doune the boddy of Iesus. And Pylate gaue him licēce. After that, Ioseph of Arimathia, which was a disciple of Iesus (but secretly for feare of the Iewes) besought Pilate, yt he might take downe the body of Iesus. And Pilate gaue him lycence.
19:39 And there cā also Nicodemus which att the begynnynge cam to Iesus by nyght/ ād brought of mirre and aloes mīgled to gedder aboute an hundred pounde wayght. And ther cam also Nicodemus which at the beginnynge came to Iesus by nyght/ & brought of myrre and aloes mingled to gether aboute an hundred pounde wayght And ther cam also Nicodemus which at the beginninge came to Iesus by nyght/ & brought of myrre and aloes mingled together aboute an hundred pounde wayght. There came also Nicodemus, (which afore came vnto Iesus by night) & brought of Myrre & Aloes mingled together, aboute an hūdreth poūde weight.
19:40 Then toke they the body of Iesu and wonde it in lynnen clothes with those confeccions as the māner of the iewes is to bury. Then toke they the body of Iesu & wounde it in lynnen clothes with the odoures as ye maner of the Iewes is to bury. Then toke they the body of Iesu/ & wounde it in lynnē clothes with the odoures/ as the maner of the Pewes is to bury. Thē toke they the body of Iesus, & wonde it with lynnen clothes, and with the spyces, as the maner of the Iewes is to burye.
19:41 In the place where Iesus was crucified/ was a garden/ ād in the garden a newe sepulcre/ wherin was never mā layde. And in the place where Iesus was crucified/ was a garden/ & in ye garden a newe sepulchre/ wherin was never man layd. And in the place where Iesus was crucified/ was a garden/ & in the garden a newe sepulcre/ wherin was neuer man layde. And by ye place where Iesus was crucified, there was a gardē, and in the garden a new sepulchre, where in was neuer man layed:
19:42 There layde they Iesus be cause of the iewes saboth even/ for the sepulcre was nye at honde. There layde they Iesus because of the Iewes saboth even/ for the sepulcre was nye at honde. There layde they Iesus because of the Iewes Saboth euen/ for the sepulcre was nye at honde. there layed they Iesus, because of the preparinge daye of ye Iewes, for the sepulcre was nye at hande.
