18:01 WHen Iesus had spoken these wordes/ he wēt forth wih this disciples over the broke Cedron/ where was a gardē/ into the which he entred with his disciples VVhen Iesus had spoken these wordes/ he wēt forth with his disciples over the broke Cedron/ where was a garden/ into the which he entred with his disciples. 18:02 (Iudas also wich betrayed hym knewe the place/ for Iesus oftē tymes resorted thither with his disciples) Iudas also which betrayed him/ knewe the place: for Iesus ofte tymes resorted thyther with his disciples. 18:03 Iudas then after he had receaved a bonde off men/ and ministers of the hy prestes/ and of the pharises cam thither with lanterns/ ād fyerbrondes/ ād wepens. 18:04 Then Iesus knowynge all thyngſ that shulde come on hym/ went forth and sayde vnto them: whom seke ye? 18:05 They answered hym: Iesus off nazareth. Iesus sayde vnto them: I am he. Iudas also which betrayed hī stode by with thē. They answered him: Iesus of Nazareth. Iesus sayde vnto them: I am he. 18:08 Iesus answered/ I sayde vnto you/ I am he. Iff ye seke me/ lett these goo theyr waye/ Iesus answered/ I sayde vnto you/ I am he. If ye seke me/ let these goo their waye. Iesus answered: I sayde vnto you/ I am he. If ye seke me/ let these go their waye. Iesus answered: I haue tolde you, that I am he. Yf ye seke me, then let these go their waye.
18:09 That the sayinge myght be fulfilled which he spake: of them which thou gavest have I not lost one. That ye sayinge might be fulfilled which he spake: of thē which thou gavest me/ have I not lost one. That the worde might be fulfylled, which he sayde: Of them whō thou gauest me, haue I not lost one.
18:10 Simon Peter had a swearde/ and drue hym out/ and smote the hye prestes servaunt/ and cut off his right eare. The servauntes name was Malchas. 18:11 Then sayde Iesus vnto Peter: put vppe thy swearde into the sheath: shall I not drynke of the cuppe which my father had geven me? Then sayde Iesus vnto Peter: put vp thy swearde into ye sheath: shall I not drinke of ye cup which my father hath geven me? Then sayde Iesus vnto Peter: put vp thy swarde into the sheath: shall I not drinke of the cup which my father hath geuen me? Then sayde Iesus vnto Peter: Put vp thy swerde in to the sheeth. Shal I not drynke of ye cuppe, which my father hath geuē me?
18:12 Then the company/ and the Captayne/ and the ministers off the iewes/ toke Iesus and bounde hym/ Then the cōpany & the captayne/ & the ministres of of the Iewes/ toke Iesus & bounde him/ Then the company and the Captayne/ and the ministers of the Iewes toke Iesus & boūde him/ Then the company and the captayne & the officers of the Iewes toke Iesus, and bounde him,

18:14 Cayphas was he that gave counsell to the iewes that it was expedient that won man shulde deye for the people. 18:15 Simon Peter folowed Iesus/ and another disciple/ that disciple was knowen of the hye preste/ and went in with Iesus into the pallys off the hye preste. And Simon Peter folowed Iesus & another disciple: that disciple was knowen of ye hye preste/ & went in with Iesus into the pallys of the hye preste. 18:16 Peter stode att the dore with outt. Then wentt outt thatt other disciple which was knowen vnto the hye preste/ and spake to the damsell thatt kept the dore/ and brought in Peter. But Peter stode at the dore with out. Then went out that other disciple which was knowen vnto the hye preste/ & spake to the damsell that kept the dore/ & brought in Peter. But Peter stode at the dore without. Then went out that other disciple which was knowen vnto the hye preste/ & spake to the damsell that kept the dore/ and brought in Peter. But Peter stode without at the dore. Then yt other disciple which was knowne vnto the hye prest, wente out, and spake to the damsell yt kepte the dore, and brought in Peter.
18:17 Then sayde the damsell that kept the dore vnto Peter: Arte nott thou wone off this mannes disciples? He sayde: I am nott. Then sayde ye damsell that kept the dore/ vnto Peter: Arte not thou one of this mannes disciples? He sayde: I am not. Then sayde the dāsell that kept the dore/ vnto Peter: Arte not thou one of this mānes disciples? He sayde: I am not. Then the damsell that kepte the dore, sayde vnto Peter: Art not thou also one of this mans disciples? He sayde: I am not.
18:18 The servauntes and the ministers stode there/ and had made a fyre off coles. For it was colde/ and they warmed them selves. Peter also stode amonge them and warmed hym silfe. 18:20 Iesus answered hym: I spak openly in the worlde. I ever taught in the sinagoge and in the temple whither all the iewes resorted: and in secrete have I sayde nothyuge: Iesus answered him: I spake openly in ye worlde. 18:21 why axest thou me? Axe them whiche herde me what I sayde vnto them. Beholde they can tell what I sayde. Why axest thou me? Axe them whiche hearde me/ what I sayde vnto thē. 18:22 When he had thus spoken/ one off the ministers which stode by/ smote Iesus on the face sayinge: Answrest thou the hye preste soo? 18:23 Iesus answered hym: Yf I have evyll spoken/ beare witnes of the evyll: yf I have well spoken/ why smytest thou me? Iesus answered him. 18:24 Annas sent hym bounde vnto Cayphas as the hye preste. And Annas sent him bounde vnto Caiphas ye hye preste. And Annas sent him bounde vnto Cayphas the hye preste. And Annas sent him bounde vnto Caiphas ye hye prest.
18:25 Simon Peter stode and warmed hym silfe/ and they sayde vnto hym: Arte not thou also wō of his disciples? He denyed itt/ and sayde: I am not. Simon Peter stode and warmed him selfe. 18:26 Won of the servauntſ of the hye preste (his cosyn whose eare Peter smote of) sayde vnto hym: did not I se the in the gardē with hym? 18:28 Then ledd they Iesus from Cayphas into the housse of iudgement. Hit was in the mornynge/ and they them selves went not into the iudgemēt housse lest they shulde be defyled/ butt that they myght eate Pascha. Then led they Iesus frō Cayphas into the hall of iudgement. It was in the mornynge/ & they them selves went not into the iudgement hall lest they shuld be defyled/ but that they myght eate the paschall lambe. Then led they Iesus frō Cayphas into the hall of iudgement. 18:29 Pilate then went oute vnto them and sayde: What accusacion brynge ye agaynste this man? Pylate then went out vnto thē & sayde: what accusacion bringe ye agaynste this man? Pylate then wēt out vnto them & sayde: what accusacion bringe ye agaynste this man? Then wente Pilate out vnto thē, and sayde: What accusacion brynge ye agaynst this man?
18:30 They answered and sayd vnto hym: Iff he were nott an evyll doar/ we wolde not have delyvered hym vnto the. They answered and sayd vnto him. 18:31 Then sayd Pilate vnto them: take hym vnto you/ and iudge hym after youre awne lawe. The iewes sayde vnto hym. It is nott lawfull for vs to putt eny man to deeth. Then sayd Pylate vnto thē: take ye him/ and iudge him after youre awne lawe. Then the Iewes sayde vnto him. It is not lawfull for vs to put eny mā to deeth. Then sayd Pylate vnto thē: take ye him and iudge him after youre awne lawe. Then the Iewes sayde vnto him. It is not lawfull for vs to put eny man to deeth. 18:33 Then Pilate entred into the iudgement housse agayne/ and called Iesus/ and sayd vnto hī: Arte thou kynge of the iewes? 18:34 Iesus answered: sayst thou that off thy sylfe/ or did other tell ytt the of me? Iesus answered: sayst thou that of thy selfe/ or dyd other tell it the of me? Iesus answered: sayst thou that of thy selfe/ or dyd other tell it the of me? Iesus answered: Sayest thou that of thy self, or haue other tolde it the of me?
18:35 Pilate answered: Am I a iewe? Thyne awne nacion an hye prestes have delivered the vnto me. What hast thou done? Pylate answered: Am I a Iewe? 18:36 Iesus answered: my kyngdome is not of this worlde. Yff my kyngdome were of this worlde thē wolde my ministers suerly fight/ that I shulde not be delyvered to the iewes/ but nowe is my kīgdome not from hence. Iesus answered: my kyngdome is not of this worlde. Yf my kyngdome were of this worlde/ then wolde my ministres suerly fight/ yt I shuld not be delyvered to ye Iewes/ but now is my kyngdome not frō hence. Iesus answered: My kyugdome is not of this worlde. Yf my kyngdome were of this worlde, my mynisters wolde fight therfore, yt I shulde not be delyuered vnto the Iewes. But now is my kyngdome not from hence.
18:37 Pilate sayde vnto hym: Arte thou a kynge then? Iesus answered: Thou sayst that I am a kynge. For this cause was I borne/ and for this cause cam I into the worlde/ that I shulde beare witnes vnto the trueth. All that are of the trueth heare my voice. Pylate sayde vnto him: Arte thou a kynge then? Iesus answered: Thou sayst yt I am a kynge. For this cause was I borne/ & for this cause came I into ye worlde yt I shuld beare witnes vnto the trueth. And all that are of ye trueth heare my voyce. Pylate sayde vnto him: Arte thou a kynge then? Iesus answered: Thou sayst that I am a kynge. For this cause was I borne/ and for this cause came I into the worlde/ that I shulde beare witnes vnto the trueth. And all that are of the trueth heare my voyce. Thē sayde Pilate vnto hī: Art thou a kynge thē? Iesus answered: Thou sayest it, for I am a kynge. For this cause was I borne, and came in to the worlde, that I shulde testifye the trueth. Who so euer is of the trueth, heareth my voyce.
18:38 Pilate sayde vnto hym: what is trueth? And whē he had sayde that/ he went out agayne vnto the iewes/ and sayde vnto thē: I fynde in hī no cause at all. Pilate sayde vnto him: what thinge is trueth? And when he had sayd yt/ he went out agayne vnto the Iewes/ & sayde vnto them: I fynde in him no cause at all. Pylate sayd vnto him: what thinge is trueth? And when he had sayd that/ he went out agayne vnto the Iewes/ and sayde vnto them: I fynde in him no cause at all. Pilate sayde vnto hī: What is the trueth? And whan he had sayde that he wēte out agayne to the Iewes, and sayde vnto them: I fynde no gyltinesse in him:
18:39 Ye have a costome amonge you/ that I shulde delyvre you wō loosse at ester. will ye that I loose vnto you the kynge of the iewes. Ye have a custome/ that I shuld delyver you one lowsse at ester. Will ye that I lowse vnto you the kynge of ye Iewes. Ye haue a custome/ that I shulde deliuer you one lowsse at ester. Will ye that I lowse vnto you the kynge of the Iewes. But ye haue a custome, that I shulde geue one vnto you lowse at Easter. Wyl ye now yt I lowse vnto you the kynge of ye Iewes?
18:40 Thē cryed they all againe sayinge: Not hī/ but Barrabas. Barrabas was a Robber. Then cryed they all agayne sayinge: Not him/ but Barrabas/ that Barrabas was a robber. Then cryed they all agayne sayinge: Not him/ but Barrabas: that Barrabas was a robber. Thē cryed they agayne alltogether, and sayde: Not him, but Barrabas. Yet was Barrabas a murthurer.
