8:1 SAul had pleasure ī his deeth. At that tyme was there a grett persecucion agaynst the congregacion which was att Iherusalem/ and they were all scattered abroade thorowout the regions of Iury and Samaria/ except the apostles. SAul had pleasure in his deeth. And at yt tyme there was a great persecucion agaynst the congregacion which was at Ierusalem/ & they were all scattered abroade thorowout the regions of Iury and Samaria/ except the Apostles SAul had pleasure in his deeth. And at that tyme ther was a great persecucion agaynst the congregacion which was at Ierusalem/ and they were all scattered abroade thorowout the regions of Iury & Samaria/ except the Apostles. SAul had pleasure in his death. At ye same tyme there was a greate persecucion ouer the congregacion at Ierusalē. And they were all scatered abrode in the regions of Iewrye & Samaria, excepte the Apostles.
8:2 Thē devout men dressed Steven/ and made grett lamentacion over hym. Then devout men dressed Steven/ aud made great lamentacion over him. Then deuout men dressed Steuen/ and made great lamentaciō ouer him. As for Steuen, men yt feared God dressed him, and made greate lamentacion ouer him.
8:3 Saul made havocke off the congregacion entrynge into every housse/ and drewe out bothe man and woman/ ād thrust them into preson. 8:5 Then cam Philip into a cite off Samaria and preached Christ vnto them. Then came Philip into a cite of Samaria & preached Christ vnto them. Then came Philip into a cite of Samaria/ and preached Christ vnto them. Thē came Philippe in to a cite of Samaria, and preached Christ vnto them.
8:6 And the people gave hede vnto those thyngſ whych Philip spake wyth one acorde/ in thatt they herde and sawe the miracles which he did. 8:7 For vnclene spretes cryinge with loude voyce cam out of many which were possessed off them/ Many taken with palseys/ and many that halted were healed. 8:8 And there was gret ioye in that cite. And ther was great ioye in that cite. And ther was great ioye in that cite. And there was greate ioye in the same cite.
8:9 There wsa a certayne man called Simon/ which before tyme in the same cite/ vsed witche crafte ād bewithched the people/ sayīge that he was a mā that coulde do greate thīgſ. And ther was a certayne man called Simon/ which before tyme in the same cite/ vsed witche crafte & bewitched the people of Samarie/ sayinge/ that he was a man yt coulde do greate thingſ. And ther was a certayne man called Simon/ which before tyme in the same cite/ vsed witche crafte & bewitched the people of Samarie/ sayinge that he was a man that coulde do greate thinges. But afore there was in ye same cite a certayne mā, called Simon, which vsed witche craft, and bewitched ye people of Samaria, sayenge, that he was a man which coulde do greate thinges.
8:10 Whom they regarded/ from the lest to the grettest sayinge: thys ys that power of god/ which is called grett. Whom they regarded/ from ye lest to the greatest/ sayinge: this felow is the great power of God. Whom they regarded/ frō the lest to the greatest/ sayinge: this felow is the great power of God. And they all regarded him from the leest vnto ye greatest, & sayde: This is the power of God which is greate.
8:11 Hym they sett moche by/ because of longe tyme wyth sorcery he had deluded their wittes. And him they set moche by/ because of longe tyme with sorcery he had mocked thē. And him they set moche by/ because that of longe tyme he had mocked them with sorcery. But they regarded him, because that of longe tyme he had bewitched them with his sorcery.
8:12 As sone as they beleved Phillipes preachynge off the kyngdome off God and off the name of Iesu Christ/ they were baptised bothe men and wemen. But assone as they beleved Philippes preachynge of the kyngdome of God & of the name of Iesu Christ/ they were baptised bothe men and wemen. 8:13 Thē Simon hym sylfe beleved and was baptised/ And continued with Phillip/ and wondered beholdynge the miracles and signes/ which were shewed. Then Simon him selfe beleved also/ and was baptised/ and cōtinued with Phillip/ and wondered beholdynge the miracles and signes/ which were shewed. Then Simon him selfe beleued also/ and was baptised/ and cōtinued with Philip/ & wondred beholdinge the myracles and signes/ which were shewed. Then Symon himself beleued also, and was baptysed, and cleued vnto Philippe. And whā he sawe the dedes and tokens that were done, he wondred.
8:14 When the Apostles which were at Ierusalē herde saye that Samaria had receaved the worde of god: they sent vnto them Peter and Ihon/ When ye Apostles which were at Ierusalem hearde saye that Samaria had receaved ye worde of God: they sent vnto thē/ Peter and Iohn/ When the Apostles which were at Ierusalem hearde saye that Samaria had receaued the worde of God: they sent vnto thē Peter & Iohn. Whan the Apostles which were at Ierusalem, herde, that Samaria had receaued ye worde of God, they sent vnto thē Peter and Ihon.
8:15 which when they were come/ prayed for them/ that they myght receave the holy goost. which when they were come/ prayed for thē/ that they myght receave ye holy goost Which whē they were come/ prayed for them that they might receaue the holy goost. Which, whā they were come, prayed for thē, yt they might receaue the holy goost.
8:16 For as yet he was come on none off them: Butt they were baptised only in the name off Christ Iesu. For as yet he was come on none of them: But they were baptised only in the name of Christ Iesu. For as yet he was come on none of them: But they were baptised only in the name of Christ Iesu. For as yet he was come vpon none of them but they were baptysed onely in the name of Christ Iesu.

8:19 sayinge: Geve me also this power/ that on whom soever I laye hondes/ he maye receave the holy goost. sayinge: Geve me also this power/ that on whom soever I put the hondes/ he maye receave the holy goost. sayinge: Geue me also this power/ that on whom soeuer I put the hondes/ he maye receaue the holy goost. and sayde: Geue me also this power, that, on whomsoeuer I put the hōdes, he maye receaue the holy goost.
8:20 Then sayde Peter vnto hym: Perissh thou and thy money togedder. For thou wenest that the gyfte of god maye be obteyned with money? Then sayde Peter vnto him: thy monye perysh with the/ because thou wenest that the gifte of God maye be obteyned wt money. Then sayde Peter vnto him: thy monye perysh with the/ because thou wenest that the gifte of God maye be obteyned with money. Howbeit Peter sayde vnto him: Perishe thou with thy money, because thou thinkest that ye gifte of God maye be optayned with money.
8:21 thou hast nether parte nor fellishippe ī this busines. For thy hert is not right ī the sight of god. Thou hast nether parte nor felloushippe in this busines. For thy hert is not ryght in the syght of God. Thou hast nether parte nor felloushippe in this busines. For thy hert is not ryght in the sight of God. Thou shalt haue nether parte ner felashipe in this worde, for yi hert is not righte before God.
8:22 Repent therfore of this thy wickednes/ and praye God that the thought off thyne hert maye be forgeven the. 8:23 For I perceave that thou arte full of bitter gall/ and wrapped in iniquyte. For I perceave that thou arte full of bitter gall/ and wrapped in iniquite. 8:24 Then answered Simō and sayde: Praye ye to the lorde for me that none off these thynges whiche ye have spoken fall on me. Then answered Simon & sayd: praye ye to the Lorde for me/ that none of these thinges which ye haue spokē/ fall on me. Then answered Simon, & sayde: Praye ye vnto the LORDE for me, yt none of these thinges wherof ye haue spoken, come vpon me.
8:25 And they whē they had testified/ and preached the worde of the lorde returned to Ierusalem and preached the gospell in many cites of the Samaritans. And they/ whē they had testified & preached the worde of the lorde/ returned toward Ierusalem/ & preached the gospell in many cities of the Samaritās. And they whē they had testified & preached the worde of the Lorde/ returned toward Ierusalē/ & preached the gospell in many cities of the Samaritās. And they, whā they had testified and spokē the worde of the LORDE, turned agayne to Ierusalem, and preached the Gospell in many townes of the Samaritanes.
8:26 The angell of the lorde spake vnto Phillip sayinge: Aryse and goo towardes midde daye vnto the waye which leadeth from Ierusalem vnto Gaza/ which is in the desert. Then the angell of the lorde spake vnto Phillip sayinge: aryse & goo towardes mydde daye vnto ye waye yt goeth doune frō Ierusalem vnto Gaza which is in ye desert. Then the angell of the Lorde spake vnto Philip sayinge: aryse and go towarde midde daye vnto the waye that goeth doune frō Ierusalem vnto Gaza which is in the desert. But the angell of the LORDE spake vnto Philippe, and sayde: Aryse, & go towarde the South, vnto the waye that goeth downe from Ierusalem vnto Gaza, which is deserte.
8:27 He arose and went on/ and beholde a man off ethiopia which was gelded/ and of grete auctorite with Candace qune of the ethiopians/ which had the rule off all her treasure/ cam to Ierusalem forto praye. And he arose & wēt on. And beholde a man of Ethiopia which was a chāberlayne/ & of grete auctorite wt Cādace quene of ye Ethiopiās/ & had ye rule of all her treasure/ came to Ierusalem forto praye. And he arose and wēt on. And beholde a man of Ethiopia which was a chamberlayne/ & of greate auctorite with Candace quene of the Ethiopians/ and had the rule of all her treasure/ came to Ierusalem for to praye. And he rose, and wente on. And beholde, a mā of the Morians lōde (a chamberlayne and of auctorite with Candace ye quene of the londe of the Morians) which had the rule of all hir treasuries, ye same came to Ierusalē to worshipe.
8:28 as he returned home agayne sittynge in his charett he redde Esay the prophet. And returned home agayne, and satt vpon his charet, and red the prophet Esay.
8:29 The sprete sayde vnto Philip: Goo neare and ioyne thy silfe to yonder charet. Then ye sprete sayde vnto Phillip: Goo neare & ioyne thy selfe to yonder charet. Then the sprete sayde vnto Philip: go neare & ioyne thy selfe to yonder charet. The sprete sayde vnto Philippe: Go neare, and ioyne thy selfe to yonder charet.
8:30 Philip ranne to hym/ and herde hym rede Esay the prophet and sayde: Vnderstondest thou what thou redest? And Philip ranne to him/ & hearde him rede ye prophet Esayas and sayde: Vnderstondest thou what thou redest? And Philip rāne to him/ & hearde him rede the prophet Esayas/ and sayde: Vnderstondest thou what thou redest? Thē ranne Philippe vnto him, and herde him rede the prophet Esay, and sayde: Vnderstōdest thou what thou readest?
8:31 And he sayd: how can I/ except I had a gyde? And he desyred Philip that he wold come vp ād sit with hym. And he sayd: how can I/ except I had a gyde? And he desyred Philip that he wold come vp & sit wt him. And he sayd: how can I/ except I had a gyde? And he desyred Philip that he wold come vp & sit with him. He sayde: How can I, excepte some mā enfourme me? And he desyred Philippe, that he wolde come vp, and syt with him.
8:32 The tener off the scripture which he redde was this. He was ledde as a shepe to be slayne: and lyke a lambe dom before his sherer/ so openned he nott his mougth/ The tenoure of ye scripture which he redde/ was this. 8:33 in that he submitted hym silfe/ his iudgement was exalted: who shall declare his generation? for his life is takē from the erthe. Because of his humblenes/ he was not estemed: who shall declare his generaciō? for his lyfe is taken frō the erthe. Because of his humblenes/ he was not estemed: who shall declare his generacion? for his lyfe is taken frō the erthe. In his humblenesse is his iudgment exalted. Who shal declare his generacion? for his life is taken awaye from the earth.
8:34 The gelded man answered Philip and sayde: I praye the off whom speaketh the prophet this? of hym silfe? or off some other man? The chamberlayne answered Philip and sayde: I praye the/ of whom speaketh the Prophet this? of him selfe/ or of some other man? The chamberlayne answered Philip and sayde: I praye the/ of whom speaketh the Prophet this? of him selfe/ or of some other man? Then answered the chamberlayne vnto Philippe, and sayde: I praye the, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himselfe, or of some other man?
8:35 Philip openned his mougth/ ād began at the same scripture/ and preached vnto hym Iesus. And Philip opened his mouth/ & beganne at ye same scripture/ & preached vnto him Iesus. And Philip opened his mouth/ & beganne at the same scripture/ & preached vnto him Iesus Philippe opened his mouth, and beganne at this scripture, and preached him the Gospell of Iesus.
8:36 And as they went on their waye/ they cam vnto a certayne water/ and the gelded man sayde: Se here is water/ what shall lett me to be baptised? And as they went on their waye/ they came vnto a certayne water/ & the chamberlayne sayde: Se here is water/ what shall let me to be baptised? And as they went on their waye/ they came vnto a certayne water/ & the chamberlayne sayde: Se here is water/ what shall let me to be baptised? And as they wēte on their waye, they came to a water. And the chamberlayne sayde: Beholde, here is water, what hyndereth me to be baptysed?
8:37 Philip sayde vnto hym: Yf thou beleve with all thyne hert/ thou mayst. He answered sayinge: I beleve that Iesus Christe is the sonne of God Philip sayde vnto him: Yf thou beleve with all thyne hert/ thou mayst. He answered and sayde: I beleve that Iesus Christe is the sonne of God. Philip sayde vnto him: Yf thou beleue with all thyne hert/ thou mayst. He answered and sayde: I beleue that Iesus Christ is the sonne of God. Philippe sayde: Yf thou beleue from thy whole herte, thou mayest. He answered, and sayde: I beleue, that Iesus Christ is the sonne of God.
8:38 And cōmaunded the charet to stonde still. And they went doune bothe īto the water: bothe Philip ād also the gelded mā. And he baptised hym. And he cōmaunded the charet to stonde still. And they went doune bothe into the water: bothe Philip & also the chamberlayne/ and he baptised him. And he commaunded the charet to stonde still. And they went doune bothe into the water: bothe Philip & also the chamberlayne/ and he baptised him. And he commaunded to holde styll the charet, and they wente downe in to the water, both Philippe and the chamberlayne. And he baptysed him.
8:39 As sone as they were come out off the water the sprete off the lorde caught Philip. And the gelded man sawe hym no moore. And he wēt on his waye reioysynge: And assone as they were come out of the water/ the sprete of the lorde caught awaye Philip/ yt the chamberlayne sawe him no moore. And he wēt on his waye reioysinge: And assone as they were come out of the water/ the sprete of the Lorde caught awaye Philip/ that the chāberlayne sawe him no moore. And he went on his waye reioysinge: But whan they were come vp out of the water, the sprete of the LORDE toke Philippe awaye. And the Chamberlayne sawe him nomore. But he wente on his waye reioysinge.
8:40 butt Philip was founde at Azotus. And he walked thorowe out the countre preachynge ī their cites/ till he cam to Cesarea. but Philip was founde at Azotus. And he walked thorow out ye countre preachynge in their cities/ tyll he came to Cesarea. but Philip was founde at Azotus. And he walked thorowout the countre preachinge in their cities/ tyll he came to Cesarea. As for Philippe, he was founde at Assdod, and walked aboute, and preached the Gospell vnto all the cities, tyll he came to Cesarea.
